Types of Witches
Animist Witches - You've probably been told that animations are created by quickly flipping through lots and lots of still frames, but this is all an elaborate coverup. Obviously that shit is magic.
Cristal Witches - Made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, Cristal Witches are aged for six years, then left for a further 8 months after dégorgement.
Dianic Witches - Only witches named Diana are allowed to join. No, Diane, you aren't "close enough".
Elemental Witches - This is who you call if the heating element on your stove goes out.
Gardnarian Witches - Very good at gardening. Less crossover with Hedge Witches than you might expect.
Green Witches - They are green. What are you not getting? Think Wicked Witch of the West. The melting in water thing was greatly exaggerated for the story, though. That almost never happens.
Hearth Witches - This branch of witchcraft is known for their fire building techniques, most likely developed in response to living in drafty houses.
Hedge Witches - Work with topiary mostly, but may dabble in bonsai or flower arranging.
Kitchen Witches - Like Sandwiches but less specific.
Solitary Witches - Hard to say what they get up to as most of them are extremely reclusive and/or off the grid entirely.
Traditional Witches - Very concerned with broom regulations and authenticity. Will give you shit if your pointy hat is not historically accurate.

Sometimes it’s hard to read fanfic when you’re studying herbalism.. when they have the character preparing a tincture to use that same DAY!!?
Baby those dried herbs need to sit in that jar with high proof alcohol for at LEAST a month!
That’s why before the use of calendars ppl use to prepare their tinctures either on the new moon or full moon. A a full moon cycle is usually 28 days or so. And they would give the moon names so it’s easier to remember when/what month said tincture was bottled.
This is also why herbal medicine is prepare in small batches. You have to take your time preparing your bottles. Making sure everything is clean so you don’t end up with mold. Diluting your grain alcohol. Heckkk knowing when to pick your herbs for max potency! Drying your herbs! That takes a lot of time too!

Witch things to add in your room, poor person edition
Fuck it Most of witchcraft people tell you to buy shit. So here's some stuff u can do for free
grab some sticks from the ground, bind them together in a shape you like, add intent (usually protection), hang it up
make a flower crown, add protection intent, dry it out, hang it up. protection spell and real ward. regularly recharge intent.
dry plants, set warding intent, hang them up.
crushed eggshells on your window sill to prevent bad energy.
wear a bandana or veil somewhere on your body, sometimes i use mine as belts, to protect from bad vibes.
paint your nails in the color meaning you want. mine are pink for self attraction rn
when you light up a candle always ask if theres a spirit or entity there, pyromancy skills can be learned through google, tumblr, and tiktok.
Regularly clean and rearrange your altar if you can't practice everyday, this keeos the space clean and shows entities around that even if ur not active, you're still a witch
A cup of water can be an offering to anyone, imagine being an entity and you can't have water at all for centuries??
If you have glasses, draw a sigil on them while you clean them (i usually wash mine with soap and water to make it extra clean ((and dry with paper towels)))
Give your wall art jobs. Sure they can be decorative, or they can be extra eyes to watch you while you sleep to make sure no one messes with you. (Ive had so much wall art fall in the middle of the night and turns out smth was trying to get in my room...)
If you have black-out/thick curtains, let the sun in!!! I keep them tied during the day so i can use natural light and ease up my electricity bill
Change ur bedsheets semi regularly, it doesn't need to be every week, but keep in mind bedbugs and other entities can get trapped there... or even try to get there to make your sleep unrestful.
If your room is a bio-hazard, at least make pathways so you can walk without injuring yourself.
