peer into my muse’s memories || accepting💔- A memory that leaves them feeling lonely

       ROOM OF COLD STEEL – she remembers the cold much further than her at the time newly placed sensors could acquire on touch. it was experimental – yet again, as everything they gave her – placed on the better model then tried on her && forgotten again. 

      she once was something stitched together from remnants left behind – experimental parts shoved together to wrap up an advance artificial intelligence that some would say was alive were the omnic rights activists correct. she’d seen glimpses of conflict through the clear window to her room before it’d be switched or turned off – the movement for their rights. 

      she’d formed a strange outlook – omnics weren’t right but nor were humans. there’s an equality in them but not for the reasons everyone fought over – because they could be equally cruel when given the incentive but humans were more so, weren’t they? except for one. one that was withheld from her lately because she’d been acting out, as they called it.

      there’s plenty of time to think when you’re forgotten again – stuck in a room of nothing but your processors && at the very least she had some limited internet access to learn && grow with.

      but there’s always that cold – the metal, the steel – just like she is inside, underneath the synthetic skin that made her appear as human as possible. && yet she wasn’t treated any way – not human, not omnic – no one to hold her, the feel of skin on her sensors, the warmth – if only they’d hate her like they did the other omnics, if only even that. it’d be something.

      no, they forget her. again.

      until someone realises – sees her looking around through glowing yellow optics – && they shut her down.

      then there’s only darkness again.

;-   Alita quite disliked to bother others, but she couldn’t help herself. She was a curious specimen and more so when she had lost most of her memory after who knows what happened to her. All of her memories she has are from the moment she woke up in her father’s work space till now, and perhaps here and now some spinets from her previous life. So yeah, maybe she did know what this place was all about, but it was lost in her brain, and the one thing she can do was to ask others for help.

     The cyborg gave a pout as she followed the other’s movements, already calculating how much more serious this one was compared to her. “Hey there, Aura. Sorry, I was a bit rude to not introduce myself first.” She turned around and reached out her hand towards the other of the same kind, granting a smile as she did so. “I’m Alita. I don’t really know my real name since I-” She knocked at her temple in a joking manner. ‘-got damaged up there.”

    “Anyway, sorry to bother you. If you really don’t want to show me around, that’s fine. I was just wondering. But if you do have the time and don’t mind, then yeah totally I’d love to get to know this place more. You see, I’m a visitor, so I live far away from here. I just came for a small vacation, maybe a place where I can bring the old man to relax, ya know?”

       aura extends her hand to meet the other’s -- human in nature as it stands, synthetic skin covering her inner workings to simulate humanity in touch, feel && look. she is not as human as her appearance would lead to believe, however -- && perhaps if she wore a skirt she could pass as nothing more than an augmented human. technology was what it was, after all -- but she isn’t on a mission so she doesn’t feign her humanity like she once was made to. no, she is a weapon now.

      she has a few of her own questions now -- further her curiosity is piqued by her new acquaintance.
