I will never understand why a person cannot express an opinion about this horrible show or the fact that they do not like these actors for the roles they have been assigned to. It is not a matter of "race" it is simply that Assad sucks in the role of Armand. He is not and never will be the real Armand. At least Banderas put in the charisma and 'attitude of the real Armand.I wonder if you have ever seen a Botticelli painting or really seen Verrocchio's David. I understand that people can love an actor and that is more than fair, but to want to mold him inside representations and figures that have nothing to do with him I find absurd, and also quite offensive to his ethnicity, since you like to talk about that so much, and call anyone who expresses opinions against the show racist. And this story of the abused child is an urban legend that you guys made up, it is also getting quite ridiculous, outside the circle of people who are crazy about this show, there's no recognition and no real connection to Anne Rice's work except the names of the characters.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have anything against the ones we’ve had, hell I got into IWTV because of Banderas’s Armand, but I just don’t get why can’t have a canon looking Armand. How is it so hard to do ?

Just imagine that young boy in all your favourite scenes we’ve already seen: questioning Louis in the underground of the Theatre, walking along Marius and Pandora to fight with Akasha, SF morning picking lint off the sofa argument… walking away on the beach and never returning, I mean, it’d be so great to see a young man interpreting such a powerful character, like Kristen Dunst did for Claudia, giving him all the duality of his character.

And come on, give us the canon look at least once ffs

Edit: had to delete Assad’s tag ‘cause of the war going on. I haven’t criticised him in particular, just said I wanted a young red haired Slavic actor to play a young red haired Slavic character and had none after 4 adaptations and decades. If you see anything racist whereas I have not been pointing at Assad whom I enjoyed as Armand, YOU are the issue. Learn. To read. Or else go fuck yourselves.

The de Romanus coven welcomes you, the event will be with us for a week, with two prompts for each day, this year's prompts are inspired by quotes from the TVA and Blood and Gold books, and recall phrases and feelings of deep love that bind Marius and Armand. Each prompts has a connection to one of the two characters and emphasizes the emotional journey of the strong and everlasting love that Marius and Armand have always shared throughout the saga of the vampire chronicle books.

We wish you a good time and thank you in advance for participating in the event.

This year's event will be inspired by flowers, their meaning, and how the love between Marius and Armand recalls a wonderful, vivid, delicate, and flourishing flower garden.

The event will run from June 16 through June 22.

Each day is linked to a flower that carries with it the meaning ascribed by the language and flowers.

Submissions must be tagged with deromanusevent, to be shared in the coven, if you notice that we unintentionally missed your work, please contact us so that we can include it in the event.

Each day will be accompanied by two prompts; you can manage them as you prefer, either by choosing one or both or by combining them.

The event rules are those that have always accompanied our events, namely respect for Anne Rice, the canon of her books, the characters and their stories.

but where?????? It is one of the most beautiful and romantic scenes in the chronicles, Amadeo's transformation is a hymn to immortal love, to union with a love that Amadeo chose for himself, immortality shared with his Master. But how much nonsense circulates in this fandom? One can't get enough of it. Oh and on the other hand Marius transformation was painful and really traumatic, just for clarity 👍

I completely forgot that this interaction happened and I am still not sure if this is one of the cases of "Can't stand his fake ass - Me and the bestie" or it's Everard trying to give Marius death by a thousand cuts via interrupting his work over and over again.
