PDP Will Emerge Stronger From National Convention Says Jonathan : Nigeria News >> 27/01/2018

He mentioned: "God willing, we will go via the National Convention and the party will become strong.
"You know we have a Caretaker Committee. When you have a Caretaker Committee, you are not as powerful as a fully elected chairman. The celebration passed via some challenges. Luckily for us, we have passed via that phase with the pronouncement of the Supreme Court ".
"We want to formally elect the officials of the party that will lead the celebration to the 2019 elections. I am incredibly hopeful that on the 9th of December we will elect our leaders ". Commenting on the performance of Governor Wike, the Former President described him as a single of Nigeria’s very best in terms of projects delivery and policies.
He stated: "He is a single of the very best governors in terms of commitment, in terms of placing structures on ground, in terms of coming up with inventive policies.
"He met specific structures, he has improved on them and he has built new roads and infrastructure. I was even asked to come and commission 1 of the roads. That is why individuals get in touch with him Mr Projects. He has been accepted by Nigerians as a performing governor ".

It is no longer news that a young amateur photographer, Oluwaseun Otitoola, has emerged the winner of the 2017 edition of the 9mobile Photography Competition. What is exciting is that the winner never owned a camera prior to winning. When he disclosed this not too long ago at the awards ceremony, it came as a pleasant surprise to the handful of journalists who waited patiently for the results to be announced.
Established as a talent development initiative of 9mobile, the competitors rewards 3 of the various entries for the annual contest.
Oluwaseun Otitoola won the competitors with his entry titled "Fragment of CMS Bookshop Building", beating two other finalists - Amanda Ihemebiri, whose entry was "The Nestoil Tower" and Taiwo Omotosho, who had place in the perform "Lines Side by Side".
Oluwaseun was announced winner at the grand finale and award presentation ceremony, which was held not too long ago at the 9mobile Head Office, Banana Island, Lagos. With emotion-laden voice and eyes moist with restrained tears of joy, Otitoola, 24, recalled how he had taken benefit of his friend’s camera in deepening his interests in photography.
"I didn’t have a camera of my own but I appreciate photography so I borrowed my friend’s camera to participate," he disclosed. "I chose ‘Fragment of CMS Bookshop Building’ because of the symbolic status of the developing and its environment which tells the story of Lagos in the previous and the Lagos we know now."
On the day he set out to take the pictures, this graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University encountered some street urchins who have been suspicious of his intention with the camera. They bombarded him with queries, demanding to know if he was spying for the Lagos State government with the aim of demolishing the structure in future. Right after explaining in lay man’s language that he was doing it for competition’s sake, he was permitted to take the pictures and he at some point submitted 3 images for the contest.
