Daisy’s interest was piqued as she shook the woman’s hand and nodded, tilting her head at the question. “I’m not sure if I’m really supposed to talk about it quite yet. Why are you asking?”

As Aurora explained that everyone was too competitive, his grin grew wider. “Doesn’t that make it more fun?”

“people are always go further than they should.” aurora shook her head, dark hair parting to reveal the pointed tips of her ears. “what is your definition of fun?”

“Sounds like it’s a speedster thing then.” Daisy quipped, raising an eyebrow and smiling at the mention of Jean-Paul. “You guys are twins?”

“maybe, maybe.” aurora mused alongside her. “oui. he’s half of me.” it had been rough from time to time, but they were in a good place now.

“I didn’t know it had anything to do with your thinking.” Daisy admitted, honestly finding that super interesting. She couldn’t imagine what that must be like. “Well I already like you a lot better than Pietro. I’ve never met Jean-Paul, though.”

“i used to be the mild mannered one; then the insane one.” the broken one. she had heard it all eight times over. “my double? jean-paul is a very good man and a bit of an acquired taste. his husband kyle is a chérie.”

Daisy slowly lowered her hand as the woman slowly descended back towards the ground and tilted her head out of curiosity when she knew Daisy’s name. “Yeah, that’s me.” She confirmed, holding her hand out to shake. “Nice to meet you, Aurora. What are you looking for me for?”

“i used to work with carol danvers and abigail brand.” aurora reached out to shake her hand. “i couldn’t join s.w.o.r.d. as i work with the mutant x-factor team, but they called in a favor. have you talked to the inhuman royal family about a recent... development?

“no, it’s fine. if a mutant goes without getting scanned for a while, there’s a chance they’ve died and we didn’t know. we don’t want to resurrect someone alive so it’s x-factor’s job to find the body and bring the evidence to the five. i was the first mutant the team helped.”

“You have a point. But it sounds like this’ll be impressive even on a mutant scale, judging by how Emma’s describing it.” Gabby shrugged, wondering what the Gala was really gonna be like. She’d find out at some point, she supposed. “That’s the plan, if Laura would shoot me back a text.” She frowned, knowing that her sister was busy and that it was unfair of her to be upset about that. She just really missed Laura and wished that they were still as close as they used to be. It felt weird having her sister not live with her anymore. “I’m sure he will.”

“laura?” jeanne-marie’s french accent warped the name slightly. “she never comes to the boneyard and we didn’t handle her resurrection. pardon.” at the mention of her twin, jeanne-marie laughed. “non. my brother is wonderful, but he will likely match his husband. i will do fine on my own.”

Medusa was aware of Aurora’s placement in Alpha Flight, and therefore was somewhat aware of Ulysses. It was a little strange speaking about it without directly naming him, but she nodded her head slightly at the question. “If we can utilize our resources properly, I believe so. Everything’s currently still a work in progress, though.”

“and when will this work in progress become public?” aurora asked, remaining vague. “i’m aware things are getting worse.”
