Mastery Milestone Fifteen - Digital Analytics and Optimization – Online
Please consider how this course met your expectations, what you learned, and how you might apply what you learned professionally.
Expectations: My expectation was that the Digital Analytics and Optimization – Online course would teach me how to: create and provide a measuring system that defines a trend or a characteristic within my company’s digital marketing structure; use metrics to explain outcomes, correct problems, chart future trends, and/or gauge the success of my marketing endeavors; understand metrics and be able to craft reporting structures that meaningfully analyze this data; and help my marketing team make productive decisions that will facilitate growth and strengthen the company’s marketing goals (Full Sail, LLC. 2019).
What I learned: During this course, I learned how to effectively: communicate what analytics is and what it is not, debunk analytics myths, communicate why digital analytics is important, assign ownership of digital analytics initiatives, define SMART business goals, pair SMART goals with appropriate KPIs in order to measure success, give meaning to analytics data, identify relevant trends in consumer behavior, derive an optimization plan to achieve SMART goals, evaluate existing optimization plans, assess sound implementation strategies, and improve upon holes in current implementation strategies (Full Sail University, 2019).
How I might apply what I've learned professionally: I might apply what I've learned professionally by integrating business objectives and goals with performance metrics that can be used to measure progress toward accomplishing our business goals. I might also explore the relationship between web design and effective Internet marketing so that each page serves a specific purpose that is consistent with the overall goals of both our brand and our website (Full Sail University, 2019).

Mastery Milestone Fourteen - Advanced Digital Marketing Strategies
Please consider how this course met your expectations, what you learned, and how you might apply what you learned professionally.
Expectations: My expectation was that the Advanced Digital Marketing Strategies course would teach me how to: identify the many components of digital marketing and to examine each one of those component’s unique marketing approach; explore affiliate, email, global, social media, and search engine marketing; and gain a thorough understanding of each aspect in order to cultivate a successful digital marketing campaign (Full Sail, LLC. 2019).
What I learned: During this course, I learned how to: develop and understand unique value propositions (UVPs); establish a Relationship Development Strategy and emphasize its importance; establish trust and authority and make it matter; develop a Conversion Optimization Strategy; examine and interpret business models; and present an Internet Marketing Action Plan (IMAP) (Full Sail University, 2019).
How I might apply what I've learned professionally: I might apply what I've learned professionally by using my newly acquired skills to better define who it is I am trying to persuade to take action and the actions that I want taken - according to demographic characteristics, buying modality and placement within the AIDAS model. I may also create new landing page elements, conversion funnel optimization, and a testing plan for my company’s website; establish goals and projections based on benchmarks unique to our industry; and present professional, narrated sales pitches that will draw information from any strategies that we have created thus far (Full Sail University, 2019).

Mastery Milestone Thirteen - New Media Marketing
Please consider how this course met your expectations, what you learned, and how you might apply what you learned professionally.
Expectations: My expectation was that the New Media Marketing course would teach me “how an organization determines which new media approaches will accomplish its marketing goals and further its success” (Full Sail, LLC., 2019), as well as how to “analyze the ways in which organizations identify and engage influencers in its target market using mobile, social media, content marketing, online video, and location-based technologies” (Full Sail, LLC., 2019).
What I learned: During this course, I learned how to develop a set of personas (influencer, fan, and customer), establish the business goals I want to achieve through my marketing efforts and choose a strategy to reach them, how to identify influencers to target my outreach efforts, how to create a plan for my influence marketing campaign and how to create a plan for measuring the success of my marketing efforts (Full Sail University, 2019).
How I might apply what I've learned professionally: I might apply what I've learned professionally by establishing my marketing goals and what I hope to accomplish with those goals; setting viable timeframes in which I hope to meet my marketing objectives; setting end goals that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART); creating a measurement plan that shows whether or not my marketing efforts are effective, and employing metrics that tie to actual business goals and results (Full Sail University, 2019). If I am able to properly apply all of these principles, my Digital Marketing campaigns should be successful.

Mastery Milestone Twelve - Digital Marketing Fundamentals
Please consider how this course met your expectations, what you learned, and how you might apply what you learned professionally.
Expectations: My expectation was that the Digital Marketing Fundamentals course would teach me how to analyze the growing influence of digital marketing, how to harness the power of the Internet and technology to help an organization become a strategic force on the web, and how to analyze the best strategic methods for success in the ever-changing digital realm.
What I learned: During this course, I learned about inbound and outbound marketing strategies and their effectiveness when targeting specific demographics; how to lay the foundation for creating an effective Internet marketing plan; the pros and cons of retargeting; what click fraud entails and how to combat it; and how to make the most of web analytics. I also picked up a few pointers on how to create my own Personal Knowledge Management System.
How I might apply what I've learned professionally: I might apply what I've learned professionally by using the information that I've gathered to better the company that I have chosen to represent, in any way that I can. Through research, I have learned to recognize what the company does well and have revealed the areas in which the company needs some improvement. Once the company is made aware of its shortcomings and those shortcomings are acknowledged, plans can be put in place to fix the errors and improve the brand's overall performance.

Mastery Milestone Eleven - Public Relations Final Project and Thesis
Please consider how this course met your expectations, what you learned, and how you might apply what you learned professionally. Please include the answers to the following questions in your journal post:
Expectations: I have tried to set up the perfect fansite for my mentor dozens of times, but it never turned out right. In the Public Relations Final Project and Thesis course, my only expectation was that, by the end, I would have finally gained the knowledge that I needed to get one up and running. This was my main goal. My personal goals were: to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of public relations, to prepare a website that demonstrates my competency, and to prepare a digital media Public Relations plan.
What was your favorite assignment in this course? Please explain. My favorite assignment in this course was Week 3's Discussion: Public Relations Theoretical Frameworks. This lesson taught me the value and importance of incorporating theoretical frameworks into my public relations campaigns and to accumulate knowledge as a basis for those campaigns by taking a broader view of communication, information, and media effects. If I understand these theories, I can apply them to my research as well as to my analyses of the relationships between actions and events (FullSail.edu, 2018, para. 1-2).
Of the course topics covered this month, which one(s) do you think will be most helpful to you as a public relations professional? Of the course topics covered this month, the one that I think will be most helpful to me as a public relations professional is also the Public Relations Theoretical Frameworks discussion from Week 3. Theoretical frameworks will allow me to move beyond the analyses of single, anecdotal campaigns and effects to make broader, more comprehensive propositions about the effects of information, communication, and the media. As a public relations practitioner, I will need to explain why and how my plans and proposals will work. My supervisor and my co-workers will be more inclined to support my positions if I have theories and evidence to back them up (FullSail.edu, 2018, para. 2).
How will the knowledge you acquired this month prepare you to work with professionals in the public relations industry? The knowledge that I acquired this month will prepare me to work with professionals in the public relations industry by giving me the tools that I need to communicate more effectively, to gather information more intelligently, to support my position with evidence and to provide suitable explanations for how and why my proposals will work.

Mastery Milestone Ten - The Online Media Room
Please consider how this course met your expectations, what you learned, and how you might apply what you learned professionally. Please include the answers to the following questions in your journal post:
Expectations: In The Online Media Room, the ability to integrate social media assets into webpages and encourage participation is important and plays a big part in making entertainment personalities larger than life. My main goal was to learn how to do the same for both my client and myself. My personal goals were: to learn how to manage online media assets to support Public Relations messages, to incorporate online methods to strengthen my web presence, and to manage and update my online media assets to encourage participation.
What was your favorite assignment in this course? Please explain. My favorite assignment in this course was the Create Portfolio/Project Page assignment from Week 1. It is of critical importance that an organization be able to provide useful, engaging, and easily accessible information on its websites, because these sites are a primary source of information for both the media and for the public. This assignment allowed me to demonstrate my understanding of the key components of an engaging online media room by creating a webpage for my capstone project.
Of the course topics covered this month, which one(s) do you think will be most helpful to you as a public relations professional? Of the course topics covered this month, the one that I think will be most helpful to me as a public relations professional is the Capstone Content Strategies assignment from Week 3. It taught me the elements of an effective content strategy, focusing on voice, tone and style, as well as design and layout. This helps to ensure that the content I've created for my capstone project addresses the needs, wants, and expectations of my target market and my buyer persona, as well as the media. It also allowed me to demonstrate my understanding of the key components of content strategy by addressing the voice, tone, and style of the information presented on the branded capstone project section of my website.
How will the knowledge you acquired this month prepare you to work with professionals in the public relations industry? The knowledge that I acquired this month will prepare me to work with professionals in the public relations industry by affording me the opportunity to engage in conversations about the specific missions, objectives, strategies, and tactics that are incorporated into successful content marketing projects.
