Buck and Eddie are in a secret relationship and only Chris knows about it, however after part 3, it won’t be a secret anymore. It’s filled with love, fun, laughter, fluff and domesticity for the Buckley-Diazes as they journey through life together.

Their Firsts, At Last

440K Words; Currently 15 completed works: A FANON series that tells Buck & Eddie’s love story! Starts with their First Love Confession and will continue until their firsts are complete. It’s multi-part fanfic series about the romantic “firsts” Buck and Eddie share as they journey through life in an established relationship and their lives as a couple will include some of Buck’s individual “firsts” too. It’s filled with the FANON love, romance, fluff and domesticity their relationship should have been allowed to experience in CANON. The second part of the series title was adapted from the song “At Last” by Etta James.

This series of FANON future speculation fanfics is being written on a continuous timeline that begins with the start of season 7 (if it were to start in September 2023). Each part ends at a specific point in Buck and Eddie’s relationship so the next part can begin with the ending of the previous part. Therefore, parts 1-14 should be read prior to reading part 15 and the series will continue in that manner until it’s complete.

Usually, Eddie’s the bad cop parent and Buck’s the good cop parent but occasionally, their roles will reverse similar to the way they did in part 1 of this series, as different situations occur.

Eddie journal his thoughts

Currently 5 Completed Works; 42K Words: Rated; Teen and Up Audiences: This is a FANON series I’ve created and titled “Eddie Journals His Thoughts” and it will include several journal entries he writes as a healthy way to therapeutically process and work through the thoughts and feelings he had at the end of season 7. Some of the things he writes will be heavy and emotionally angsty while others will be domestically and romantically fluffy. As previously mentioned, I HATED the way 9-1-1 didn’t let him talk to anyone about the way he was feeling at the end of 7x10 and it pissed me off when they let his parents abruptly show up and take Chris to El Paso, Texas with them.

“What do you want?” - A Series of Ficlets

Currently 9 works completed; 55K Words: Rated; Teen and Up Audiences: This is a series of “Fics and Ficlets” I’m writing and my goal is to keep them under a certain number of words. I’m challenging myself to do it this way for multiple reasons but mainly because I want to see if I can write a full Buddie story by including smaller fics in a series in comparison to the multi-chapter fic I’m still in the process of writing titled, “I’m still in love with you but… I needed to learn how to love myself too!” I began writing it last year after season 6 was an epic disaster, however this time I started with my dislike for the way season 7 ended and it’s continuing through the end of 8A.

Initially, this series was going to be speculation for season 8 before it began; however, things I included in the first 6 fics/ficlets, i.e. Buck’s breakup happened in 8x6 instead of 8x1; Eddie hasn’t dated anyone since the doppelgänger cheating debacle and Eddie going to visit Chris in El Paso, TX and taking Buck with him didn’t happen. Based on the way 8x8 ended with Eddie looking for a house in El Paso, it’s unlikely that it will, therefore the fics in this series are CODAs or “fix it” fics.

Since these ficlets will be posted in order, it’s imperative to read them one after the other. Each part ends at a specific point with a cliffhanger and the next part will begin with the ending of the previous part. Therefore, parts 1 - 8 should be read prior to reading part 9 and the series will continue in that manner until it’s complete.

“You don’t know math!” - 3.3K Words; Rated Teen and Up Audiences: Buck is forced to choose while Eddie might be presented with another option.

“Math is a universal language.” - 5K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Eddie reconnects with an old acquaintance and they spend a lot of time together. However, now that Buck’s single, he finally tries to understand math is a universal language but when he sees Eddie talking to another guy, he wonders if it took him too long to figure it out.

“You know, it’s like that thing when you meet somebody and you just… click.” - 5.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: When Buck comes face to face with Eddie’s new friend; he hates it but since he’s only told Maddie about his breakup with Tommy, Eddie’s still under the impression he’s taken. Therefore, Eddie makes plans to spend even more time with his new acquaintance.

“I can’t stop thinking about him.” - 8.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie are trying to move on but they can’t stop thinking about each other.

“How I hide my true feelings from others.” - 9.6K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie return to therapy but they’re both not telling each other about recent events that happened. Will they finally have an open and honest conversation before it’s too late?

“We need to talk.” - 11.4K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: After Eddie and Buck decide to take a weekend road trip to El Paso, TX to visit Chris, during the 12-hour drive, they talk about a lot of things they’ve left unsaid.

“I do need you.” - 5K Words; Rated” General Audiences: It’s late and after being on the road from Los Angeles to El Paso for more than 12 hours, Eddie and Buck are tired but they aren’t sleeping. Instead, they’re continuing to discuss things they’ve left unsaid.

“It’s in my will if I die you become Christopher’s legal guardian.” - 4.4K Words; Rated: General Audiences: Even though it’s after midnight, Eddie and Buck are lying in their individual queen size hotel beds continuing their conversation about Eddie’s plan for when they arrive at his parents’ house later today and they’re finally discussing Eddie’s will.

“I chose this life for a reason.” - 4.2K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: When Eddie and Buck arrive at Eddie’s childhood home, Eddie remembers things haven’t changed and once realization sets in, he’s reminded of the reason he left El Paso in the first place and it leads to an intense conversation with his parents.

Love, Life and Adventures!

Currently 6 works completed; 40K Words: Rated; Teen and Up Audiences: This is a new FANON series I’ve created and titled “Love, Life and Adventures” and it’s adapted from the title of the photo album Thomas was making for Mitchell in 2x8 “Buck Actually.” In this series, Buck and Eddie are in a secret relationship and they will be going on dates and having a fabulous time as they get to know each other romantically. They’ve always been emotionally intimate but they’ll be dating and wooing the other one with surprises and romantic gestures.

I’m not sure how many fics will included but I do know I want to write about them having fun and enjoying their time together because they deserve it.

“Tell me a secret!” - 3.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie are in a secret relationship and they’ve only told one person they’re together. They’re planning to reveal it to their biological and found families soon but they won’t do it until they’ve had the chance to love, live life and share some adventures while they’re in the honeymoon phase.

“Islands in the stream, that is what we are!” - 6.9K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie go on a date and spend a romantic Saturday in Santa Catalina Island, CA.

“Love was made for me and you!” - 7.1K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: After Buck and Eddie’s 48-hour shift ends, they take a quick trip to Malibu, CA for a romantic day date.

“My love, take my breath away!” - 11.5K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Eddie and Buck spend the day in downtown Los Angeles doing a food tour with 10 other people but they still manage to remain in their own little romantic bubble.

“You proved my fantasy of what love could really be.” - 5.6K Words; Rated: General Audiences: After working a 48-hour shift, Buck and Eddie take the short journey to Hollywood, CA for a romantic day date.

“My Endless Love.” - 7.7K Words; Rated: General Audiences: Buck and Eddie both have family functions to attend on their weekend off, so Eddie plans for them to spend Friday together on a cruise ship.

Buddie: Girl Dads

Currently 2 works completed; 7.5K Words: The “Their Firsts, At Last” series is complete and the fics included in it are listed below but I’m continuing to write fics with them parenting their twin daughters and this Part 2 in the “Buddie Girl Dads” series. Writing them as Girl!Dads was so much fun to write that I decided to continue their story. Currently, I’m not sure how many fics I’ll write but I decided to write and post this one today. I might write more of them because I enjoy writing Buck and Eddie being girl dads.

Twin Girls’ Cheer Dads - 1.9K Words; Rated: General Audiences: After Buck makes it home from working a 48-hour shift, he enters their house and since it’s quiet, he immediately starts searching for his husband and their twins. Once he makes it to the backyard, his heart swoons when he sees his husband leading their daughters in a practice session of their cheer routine.

Taking Their Twins Trick or Treating - 5.5K Words; Rated: General Audiences: Buck and Eddie take their twin daughters, Daniella Elizabeth (Liz) and Danielle Epiphany (Anny) trick or treating but now that Buck’s President of the HOA, will the time they set aside to spend as a family to make memories be interrupted?

Come with me to Italy! - 25.2K Words; Rated: Teen and Up Audiences: Buck and Eddie take a 10-day trip to Italy so they can heal together but Eddie doesn’t know Buck’s also thinking about relocating to Italy to become a firefighter.

“From here on out, it’s all a gift!”- 22.4K words; Rated Teen and Up Audiences: Buck feels like the person he just met “sees” him for who he is and what he’s been through while Eddie feels alone and admits he doesn’t want to be anymore. Everything they’ve been searching for has been right in front of them for years and the universe is tired of waiting. To help them realize “it’s all a gift”; it hurls another shared trauma in their direction but will it be too late for them to appreciate it?

Season 7 Future FANON

“I’m still in love with you but… I needed to learn how to love myself too!” Currently 36 chapters completed: 1.75M Words; Rated: Mature: This is an EPIC LOVE STORY! Months after Buck and Eddie were hit by the same lightning strike; they’re still struggling with the aftermath of it. But before they make their love confessions, they’ll spend time getting to know themselves as individuals first. Eddie learns to enjoy the simple things in life as he participates in activities on his own and with new friends while Buck learns the rest of the 31-year-old deep dark family secret about his conception and birth. Their journey to forever is still a work in progress but once they finally admit they’re in love with each other, everything that follows their love confessions will be spectacular. This fic will take Eddie and Buck places the show refuses to go. This is a multi-chapter fic that will be posted one chapter at a time.

7x10 Finale FANON Speculation

“Don’t walk away from something before you even know what it is!” -Complete 4 total chapters 52.3K Words; Rated: Teens and Up Audiences: Eddie decides to walk away when he feels like he’s missed his last chance to be with Buck and after another failed date, Buck considers why none of the people he’s ever dated felt right and it causes him to consider walking away from whatever he’s doing with the person he’s with. When another twist of fate rips them apart and they’re faced with losing each other forever, will they walk away from everything they’ve built before they even know what it is? This is a multi-chapter fic and all chapters have been posted

8x6 “Confessions” - 8x10 Speculation

“I can’t imagine anything more painful than going through life alone. Except maybe one thing… going through death alone.” - Currently 8 of 12 chapters completed: 106.7K Words; Rated: Teens and Up Audiences: Eddie feels completely alone, he isolates himself and the weight of it causes him to slip into a deep depression. Once he accepts the fact that he’ll die alone, he has a decision to make regarding his life. Buck finally gets clarity about his relationship status and once he does, realization sets in and he becomes frustrated that he didn’t see it coming. Will they finally figure out they’re each other’s person before it’s too late? This is a multi-chapter fic and one chapter will be posted at a time.

The Buckley-Diaz Family Budget - 7.6K Words; Rated General Audiences: After completing their weekly grocery shopping and realizing inflation has increased the costs of all the food they usually purchase, Eddie returns home, calls a family meeting and explains to Buck and Chris their family needs to tighten their budget. But something important happens that prompts Eddie to break the family’s ‘no spend challenge’.
