Correcting an Autists behaviour and language
Well, this might seam like whining in the begin but I think I’m not the only person who feels it.
TW offending of Autistic persons, bad moments of my live maybe also experienced (I write when TW is over and yes, I am bad at TWs)I’m the only Autistic person in my family and they didn’t really care about what is “wrong with me” meaning like why I don’t behave like them. So it ended up in lots of arguments. Since I’m diagnosted I try to tell them what Autism is and why I behave different in some ways but they don’t really care and say “you are rised to be normal now finally behave normal you are old enough”. For a long time I blamed myself for almost anything had low confidence and tried to show my family that I am “normal” which ended up in “you speek too fast” “you speek to slowly” “take care of pronounciation” “don’t pronounce too much” “speek louder” “speek more quiet”, ect. Till I started to speak to them only when it’s inevidable what is wrong again but seems like I can’t do it right for them
TW over So, my fellow Autistics don’t listen to such sh*t you speek right as you speek (and if you communicate non verbal it’s also right) and you don’t do anything wrong in your behaviour. Why are we the ones forced to fit? So they don’t have to deal with behaviour which seems special for them. And we leave our own confort zones almost every single day so just don’t listen to that either it’s easier to demand to leave his own confort zone from someone than to leave it yourself...
You are doing great and don’t listen to anything else

About myself, this blog and dealing with ableism language
Well what to say about myself? I’m 20 years old and was tested positive for Autism last year. I also wanted to be tested earlyer which was declined for me by a psychatrist who was rather out of touch and argumented that I try to help others when they feel bad and that is something an Autist never would do... So since you know that I will give you some specific information on this blog. First, what has Autism to do with SWTOR. Pretty much nothing but SWTOR is one of my special interests and so I wanted to write about both. There also are some charakters in SWTOR which I thing could be Autistic and maybe I will write about it but I have to read some books first in order to test if I’m right. Also the idea behind this blog is to inform people about Autism and to show Autistic people that they aren’t alone.
Now lets get to the point with ableism language. For those who dosn’t know what that means: Ableism language are words we use in every day language not regarding anymore that they refer to certain disabilties: - retard(ed) - crazy - blind - psycho/psychopath - shizo/shizophrenic - high-/low functioning/Aspie/Asperger - narcisstic (I hope I’ve spelled it right :D) I hope I didn’t forget anything. Some Autists have multiple disabilities (I will explain why in some other text) and feel hurted when they read such words. However, for myself I don’t care, meaning I will use some of those words in texts (especially when I write about SWTOR) but I will put some TWs in front of the sentence I use this words. Meaning like [TW caps, TW ablesim language] ect. Also I’m perfectly fine with ableism language used in the comments but when I see it I will edit the written text with [TW: ableism language in comments]. Due to a lack of time I can’t be online here every day so when you see ableism language in the comments you always can write me and I’ll edit the text as fast as possibile. One more thing to mention: When I use pictures or emojis I will use image descriptions since some people have disabilities in seeing things. When you are fine in that just ignore those descriptions.
