MY RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE IN MY TWD DR

once again, I’m just yapping and trying to fill the void of twd dr content.

ROSITA ESPINOSA — my soon to be girlfriend. my wife. I love her so much. It’s sort of a black cat golden retriever relationship (me being the golden retriever). She never dated Abraham in my dr because she’s literally 20. I aged her down because I wanted to be 18 in my dr like here. She still has a bit of military training and was in my father’s group from Texas. we’re the cutest ever but I’m biased

ABRAHAM FORD — my father!! I get most of my looks from my mom but I did inherit his hair and a few others things. I’m from New England and like in my cr my parents are divorced, so I would spend summers and school breaks with him until like two years before the fall. he wasn’t originally my father in my dr but like a year ago I had a dream where my father in this reality was being an asshole per usual and he defended me and made me feel safe. I knew he was meant to be my dad. we were split up at the start of the apocalypse, since I was at a summer camp in GA and he was in texas, but we’ll reunite in my first shift.

ROCCO — not actually a person but my dog from here, the cutest ever (even though he’s actually a bit ugly). I scripted that walkers only hurt people, not animals, so he’s safe, and was with me at the start.

BETH GREENE — we’ve been best friends since we met at the Greene farm. we’ve been through similar stuff and bonded really closely over stuff. we’re also about the same age, which is difficult to find in the apocalypse. random but we used to collect, like, pretty rocks and trinkets and stuff when we were on the road for the first time, it kept us entertained and will on the way to alexandria. we never kept any of it for long though, since too much stuff could weigh us down.

CARL GRIMES — basically a brother to me, but also like a cousin? idk but we’re insanely close, I’ve known him since the quarry camp and he’s like a little brother. I tease him but I would also, like, go to lengths to protect him.

JUDITH GRIMES — like my niece. I would kill for Judith if she asked (probably not, partly because she wouldn’t, but I <3 exaggerating). she’s the cutest ever and I’m so excited to babysit her and watch her grow up.

DARYL DIXON — he’s my pookie <3!! carol and I tease him a lot but he loves us. I just know him and Connie are gonna be so cute. he’s like family, like all of the group. taught me how to hunt and survival stuff, I just kinda pretended the walls he had up didn’t exist until I got past them

CAROL PELETIER — she’s like my scary aunt. I’m a bit afraid of her but I love her all the same. ik it’s gonna be so funny watching her bake cookies and stuff in Alexandria. I have this one like half-memory from when I was trying to shift once of us baking in Alexandria, I think Eugene and Tara and I were like flinging frosting or smth at each other and it’s about to escalate and Carol goes “Do not waste that,” in this really stern tone. we all stop obviously and Noah’s sitting there whisking something with this look on his face like oop, like he’s glad he didn’t get involved. love carol so much honestly

For some reason the Justice League and all of their associates need to boost their public opinion, so they decided to open tiktok accounts for the respective hero teams, in hopes that showing the more 'regular' side of the heroes will change public opinion of them.

Never has a single idea worked so well and backfired in such a miraculous way.

Originally, the Justice League's page was the leaguers attempting to do whatever popular trend that was happening, but failing in the kind of way that parents or older people who don't fully get the trend do. Like, they get the concept of the trend, but they really don't understand why it's a trend of what the actual point of it is.

It's not until the account gets taken over by Hal, Oliver and surprisingly, Bruce that it actually starts to go viral with its content. Instead of adhering to trends, its a lot of behind the scenes content. Embarrassing moments of the league caught on camera without them knowing, a few bits of scripted comedy.

The most popular video on the page is Batman reading over the 'dumbest budgetary requests from each member of the league' with a monotone voice and expression. Lots of questions are raised as to where the hell the league get's all their money. None get answered.

The Titan's also start off with trends, but are doing a lot more dance trends than anything. They're all just a bit too good at dancing to not absolutely kill every trend. If there is a song going viral, you can bet your life on it that the Titans have already choreographed and filmed something for it.

A few trends also spawn off the Titan's tiktok, but they are mostly people trying to recreate some of the dumbest tricks they have seen them do in their videos, and fail spectacularly because 'there's no way a human can actually move like that'. The Trend "The Reason I'm not a Titan" (similar to the not make the olympics trend) goes mega viral, and even has some of the younger heroes doing it, including videos of them all fumbling during hero work and patrols.

It's Young Justice's account that makes the league regret this entire idea, because unlike the older heroes, they actually understand the trends, and they are fully aware as to what they're doing. Trauma Candy Salads. We Listen and We Don't Judge. Hear Me Out Cake, all of them are done by Young Justice much to the amusement of the public and absolute horror of the rest of the hero community.

The infamous clip of Slobo putting Lex Luthor on their hear me out cake, only to have Superboy screaming "MY DAD?!" and have the video sharply cut off with Red Robin and Wondergirl loosing their absolute shit in the background goes insanely viral because 1) people didn't know Lex Luthor was Superboys Dad and 2) Is that infamous bounty hunter and known adversary of superman Lobo?

Young Justice proceeds to loose access to this account for a week, while the Justice League and Lex both try to do PR Damage control. From that point forward Young Justice needs to have their tiktoks approved by either Red Tornado or a member of the league before they post it. (That also only lasts a week. But the public love it)

OLLIE’S WALKING DEAD DR BACKSTORY

wanna preface this by saying I honestly have no idea how to use tumblr, I mostly just lurk here but I decided to make this anyways !!

anyways I haven’t shifted here (or like, anywhere) yet but I figured I’d share some stuff about it

basic backstory:

my name’s Ollie Ford, and my father is Abraham Ford. I grew up splitting my time between New England USA with my mom (where I grew up in this reality,) and Houston, Texas with my dad. When I was a baby, I was kidnapped by an ex-military friend of my father’s and experimented on for a few months before being rescued. it ultimately did nothing— or so we thought at the time

I was just finishing up my first summer as a counselor at a summer camp in Georgia when the apocalypse hit, and headed to Atlanta to try to stay safe and figure out a plan— an ill-timed phone call there led to my father believing me to be dead as the chaos erupted around the phone booth I was standing near

Glenn and T-Dog rescued me and got me out of a bad part of Atlanta, but I decided not to join them in the safe zone, since I had a bad feeling about it, instead waiting in King County GA, which was where he was supposed to pick me up from and our agreed-upon meeting spot from that chaotic phone call. there was only one (actually a multitude, but that doesn’t matter,) problem:

he thought I was dead.

so, I ended up waiting for weeks with no sign of him. along the way, I rescued a bitten man and adopted his german shepherd, Maisie, gathered supplies, and learned about the world I now lived in. after having a few close calls, I decided to try to raid the empty hospital…

and that’s when I met Rick.

we soon ran into Morgan and Duane, and it became clear to me that I couldn’t stay in this town much longer— who knew if my father could even make it? so I left a note and one of the police radios behind for my father at the camp’s sign, took the other one, and headed off to Atlanta.

the plot was relatively similar from there— we escaped Atlanta and I reunited with Glenn and T-Dog, I stayed at the quarry camp, went to the CDC, stayed at the farm while Carl recovered and Daryl looked for Sophia, was then on the road for nearly nine months, helped clear the prison, helped face the governor, and checked my radio every so often while beginning to enjoy my life at the prison.

then the governor fucked that up (and got what he deserved from Michonne a few minutes later…)

some things went slightly differently: hershel never got bitten and had his leg amputated when we cleared the prison, and the governor’s attack with michonne sword was sloppy enough that he was able to dodge while tied up (ridiculous, I know)

that’s when things got weird— well, weirder.

he got bit making his way back up to the prison to maggie and beth, and I got bit several times in the chaos— both of us knew we were going to die, and that it was pointless trying to leave the prison, so we just made a break for an empty cell block.

it was obviously depressing and shit, but we didn’t die, so it’s fine. I fell asleep staring at a clock, but I didn’t turn, and instead woke up to find my bites healed, which is insane, obviously

hershel and I are both like wtf, and after a bit, we not only realize that I could heal his bite wound to an extent, but that I also have superpowers (op and kinda dumb, ik)

I’m a lot stronger, and have unbreakable skin like Luke Cage (I did end up infodumping about marvel to Hershel, but the whole powers thing gave me an excuse)— there’s other stuff, but I’m not going to go into it here (though if anyone sees this lmk if you want me to make a post abt it)

(also, about the powers thing— there’s NO WAY I would shift here without shit like this, my oblivious ass would not be paying attention and end up getting torn apart two seconds in)

anyway, the two of us escape the prison only like an hour after Glenn and Tara (unknowingly, ofc) and start heading off in a random direction

I eventually make the connection between what my father told me about what happened when I was a baby— and the fact that one of the workers managed to avoid jail, and left the states to go to France, where we learned the virus started from the CDC

we unknowingly head in the direction of Terminus but our path skirts around it just enough that we don’t run into the herd or any of the destruction.

basically, picture my with one earbud in, humming, skipping along a railroad track right by a sign that says TERMINUS, THOSE WHO ARRIVE, SURVIVE in huge letters and not even noticing it through the entire journey

Hershel has a better excuse because he’s older and has slightly worse eyesight, plus he was enduring me infodumping about stuff (he loves me anyway) and therefore wasn’t paying attention. we both just got insanely lucky that we were headed in the same direction as the group AND managed to avoid Terminus

anyway, my first shift, I wake up in the early morning in a run-down house (I say house, but it’s more of a glorified shack) that Hershel and I camped out in for the night. we gather our things, pick a direction, and start walking for about 30 minutes before we stumble across the clearing where gabriel’s church lies

my father abraham, my future wife rosita, eugene, tara, glenn, and maggie were literally about to get onto that bus and leave when we show up

(side note, rosita and abraham were never together, she’s about 20 in my dr while I’m 18)

obviously, they don’t leave because I refuse to leave without Daryl, Carol, and Beth if they find her, and my father’s not just gonna leave his long-lost child, so…

Damian gets into trouble at school a lot and every time the principal calls up one of Damian’s family members to come in and deal with the latest issue Bruce has to scramble around whatever crime-problem they’re swamped with at the time to get either him or Dick or Alfred down to the school, but sometimes they just can’t and have to let the principal know that nobody can come, except the principal makes a big stink about SOMEBODY having to show up for this kid, and so to avoid looking neglectful Bruce reluctantly agrees and says somebody will be down there soon.

Damian’s principal watches as this 200+ pound brick shit-house of a guy casually wanders into the school with the most menacing glare on his face as he sips from a starbucks cup, slings his other hand into the pocket of his leather jacket, ignores her completely to turn to Damian and go ‘fuck’d you do now?’

‘fighting.’ Damian responds, looking slightly proud, sitting straight up in his seat. brick shit-house man sticks his bottom lip out and nods consideringly.

‘opponent get a hit on you?’

‘of course not. i used that move you showed me when i was four. executed it perfectly.’

brick shit-house man nods again in approval, sticking out his cup. ‘nice. you get the rest of my oreo frappe as a reward.’

Damian takes the drink and sips it delicately, preening under the guys praise. the kid Damian had been called in for fighting, of whom had been whining about how Damian should be suspended for his actions, had grown nervously silent at the sight of the frankly massively intimidating man, as had his equally vocal mother. brick shit-house man doesn’t grant them a glance, instead looking at the principal.

‘so can we go now? i was in the middle of an interrogation when Bruce called.’

hesitating slightly, the principal asks who this man is, in relation to her student.

‘none of your fucking business.’

ok then. after double checking that Damian was ok with leaving with the man, there wasn’t much she could do but say yes and hope her acquiescing would save her from the weight of his glare. as they leave, she hears Damian innocently ask if he could aid with the interrogation, being as he was now free for the afternoon.

‘are you kidding? Bruce would hate me if i let you near that shit.’ a beat. ‘so yeah but like don’t fuckin tell him.’

the next time Bruce Dick or Alfred can’t make it down to the school on short notice, the principal assures them they can reschedule.

i'm not sure if you already answered this buuuut i saw that you have a twd dr so i was wondering if you had ANY ideas (scenarios, advices, stuff to script) of how to make an apocalyptic dr (twd or not, it doesn't matter!) safe YET still interesting?

like i'm thinking about making a original one but idk if i'm keeping zombies/infected in (and maybe script that they're pretty much chill?? like they're there just for the vibe or something idk LMAOOO) or if i'm going with a "last persons on earth" kind of plot without any real danger (kinda boring maybe idk but at least it's pretty much 100% safe) and i'm/we're just exploring the now abandoned world, doing whatever we want kinda? aaaaa idk sorry i'm rambling!!! and maybe i'm not even making any sense omg

hi !! happy to have another apocalypse shifter on my blog, i love a good apocalypse DR i think about them constantly

zombies there for the vibe & being chill made me laugh not them being background props LMAOOO but i get what u mean !! u could always script little things like they always walk, they’re not particularly fast or strong, or get rid of the concept of herds completely and script that they always travel alone or in small clusters.. maybe that their bite force isn’t all that strong and they have a hard time biting through jeans or other tough materials, so people wouldn’t be getting bitten through clothes as often. those are pretty basic ways to make them a lot less dangerous i think?

i vibe with the end-of-the-world exploring everything concept soooo much, i literally ramble about it in this post where i talk about the things i’m looking forward to in my walking dead DR, its a concept i love and one that i think could be so much fun with the right group of people, or intensely therapeutic and interesting if you did it alone !! don’t apologize babe i was born to understand your visions 🧘‍♀️

cause that’s what makes things happen at the end of the day, right? you can be the most prepared, stocked up, and ready to handle the world, and still die at the hands of a creaky floorboard or an unlucky maneuver. that’s kind of what the apocalypse is all about—it treats everyone equally

being an uncannily lucky person influences things in a variety of seemingly tiny ways, ranging from small conveniences to life-saving occurrences :

⋆˙♱ a walker bites you, but it’s teeth don’t manage to get through your pants—so you’re fine

⋆˙♱ bullets miss you by a fraction of an inch, so close you can feel them pass you by—but they don’t hit you

⋆˙♱ you go through every pump at some abandoned ripped-through gas station, and the last pump somehow has a little bit left—just enough for you to get where you’re going

⋆˙♱ trekking through the woods and a rainstorm that kind of irritates you manages to wash away your tracks in the mud—no one can follow you now, and you didn’t even know they were

⋆˙♱ a vending machine you stumble across has one bag of chips still teetering at the edge, tucked towards the corner where no one saw it

⋆˙♱ you drop your knife fighting a walker, but it tumbles into the stream and you find it in the water a mile up the river—you’d already given up on getting it back

⋆˙♱ someone sneaking up on you happens to step on a loose floorboard, which groans loudly—it alerts you with just enough time to run or fight

⋆˙♱ your backpack rips, and you stumble across a mostly-used roll of duct tape not an hour later—there's just enough left to seal the rip

⋆˙♱ as a herd surrounds your hideout, a horrific storm rolls through and you think things could not get any worse—the pelting rain and roaring noise confuses and scatters the herd away from you

⋆˙♱ sometimes when walkers are chasing you, they trip over roots or rocks and they faceplant into the ground. ( maybe this one isn't even luck, walkers are fucking stupid )

this is a scripting tool i use in tons of my dangerous DRs, to circumvent getting busted up all the time

the important thing here is that the LUCK aspect doesn’t take away from the plot or anything interesting happening. you still get attacked or fight, get into sticky situations, have crazy things happen or follow the events of any show/movie you may be scripting for, but you’re lucky enough to walk out unscathed without it being some magical or unrealistic thing !! it makes it more interesting to find yourself consistently pretty successful, in my opinion. you stumble across cool things, escape bad situations and live to tell the tale.

sisyphus suffers for a reason, and it’d be the same thing in the apocalypse if you were constantly pushing forward and surviving, only for something awful to happen, and you to suffer a grievous injury or loss, over and over and over again. trying to make the best of things but taking hit after hit would be miserable, you know? that’s the biggest change i made to my DR that differentiates it from the source media (the walking dead for me) is that things do get better, and we do have good days, and we are working towards a peaceful future that we will eventually reach. a lot of that is luck, in my opinion !!
