Pros of having ADHD:
Can track prey for hours without losing focus
Special interest: basket weaving
Always fidgeting - banging rocks together and discovers flint-knabbing
Distracted by berries
Stimming by making noises, discovers the sksksk that lures out squirrels
Can't sleep at night, great at guarding the cave while family sleeps
Sensitive senses means discovering and refusing to eat rotten/poisonous food
Sees bird eat nut - impulsively tries it too and discovers that nuts taste good
Cons of having ADHD:
Can't do homework
Impulse buys
Can't use a calendar
Can't sit still in classroom

Yknow what’s great? Rocking back and forth. Or side to side. Maybe doing a little circular motion if you’re feeling funky. Yeah, rocking stimming is so good

More weapon reviewing! This time I’m gonna take a crack at the Hanwei Viking Bearded axe, currently going for about 90 dollars on Kult of Athena. I don’t know how to say this but... don’t buy this, please dear Gods DONT buy this. Hanwei is a company with mixed reviews, some people love them and some people can’t stand them. Most people think Hanwei is. Fine. But I have never in my life been more disappointed in a purchase before, and I have spent 500 dollars on a card game that died in a year.
Let’s get to the pros. It. It cut thin little pieces of wood really well, twice. And it’s probably fine steel. Not good, but fine.
Now for the cons. It’s UGLY. When my mother saw it, she said it looked like a Halloween costume accessory. And she wasn’t wrong. It’s without a doubt the ugliest weapon I’ve ever seen. They decided that, for some reason, they were going to texture and color the axe to look and feel like cast iron. I... I don’t remember the Vikings making weapons out of cast iron? Do y’all? They did this on the whole piece OTHER THAN the edge, which is a mirror polish, straight cut, clearly machined edge. The contrast of the two surfaces makes it feel fake as hell. The haft of the axe is Terrible. Made of a weak wood that was stained a dark wood color to hide the fact that it is, in fact, terrible, it is pathetic to look at. I could probably break the thing over my knee if I really put some hate into it. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, the weapon came apart upon use. 2 hits breaking thin lumber, and the axe head slid down the shaft onto my hand. It was held on by some sort of glue, which didn’t last a second. I rate this weapon a 2/10, only because I can MAYBE salvage a decent axe out of the head after a ton of work. Not worth 5 dollars, let alone 90.

Time for a weapon review. Today, I will be reviewing the Bec de Corbyn from Arms and Armor. Does the build stand up to the quality you expect from the reputation and price of Arms and Armor? Well... sort of
First, the pros. It’s very pretty. It’s a faithful reproduction of the original piece, and as a wall hanger, it is fantastic. Above and beyond what’s needed for decoration. Functionally, I can say that it has not come apart on me, even through relatively rough tests. I’ve hit it against a thick wooden log many a time, and it has survived pretty well. Mostly.
The weapon isn’t exactly what I expected of a weapon of this cost. The tips of the hammer spikes have curled over some. They are still sharp, but not the razor we started with. The wood of the haft feels... Very weak. I’m afraid if I really go all out in testing that it will snap on me, and unlike an axe, this will be hard to replace the shaft on. The BIGGEST issue, tho, is the spikes on the side of the head of the weapon. They came loose after only one impact on them, and now they spin around like the tea cups at a fair. This doesn’t detract from the overal functionality of the weapon, but I had hoped for something a bit more sturdy than this.
All in all, I would rate the weapon a 7/10. It’s good, it’s perfectly fine. And that’s all I can say. It’s fine. With a price tag like that for a polearm, I expected more than fine. I expected to be dazzled. And I’m just not.
