Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Y2 selfie-smartphone in India. The phone has a 3GB RAM +32GB variant, and a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The handset runs on Xiaomi MIUI 10 software i.e, is the latest version of the company’s proprietary operating system based on Google’s Android Oreo 8.0 OS.  

The smartphone is available for sale in India on Amazon India and Mi.com. The phone has a 5.99-inches display with HD+ resolution and 1440 x 720 pixels resolution at 269 ppi. It has an 18:9 aspect ratio and a rear fingerprint scanner for added security. The device has a metallic finish on the back.  

The phone has vertical dual-rear camera 12MP+5MP combination and a front 16MP selfie camera which is powered by ‘Artificial Intelligence’. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor for fast processing. The phone comes with features like Face Unlock, AI Beautify 4.0, etc. It has a 3080 mAh battery with the standard 5V/2A charger.

Xiaomi Redmi Y2 32GB is announced to be launched in June 2018 & will run on Android 8.1 OS. The Smartphone will have a built in fingerprint sensor as the primary security feature, along with the host of connectivity options in terms of 3G, 4G, GPS, Wifi, NFC Bluetooth capabilities. The phone will be launched at a price of Rs. 8544 & will come with 32GB of internal storage.

The Smartphone will be powered by Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Processor. A 3GB of RAM will ensure phone runs smoothly even the most memory intensive applications & show no signs of lag. 32GB of internal storage will be open for expansion via a microSD card.
