thinking about dolls very obviously animated by plants. whether it's by a witch with a green thumb who employs them for all her magic, or a corrupted doll, its inner workings overtaken and repurposed for a collective of flora, I just love picturing dolls of various kinds with vines and flowers growing over and sprouting from their forms.

a porcelain servant, vines coiling from its joints and the cracks in its shell, held together by things more alive than it could ever dream of being, filling the space around it with a pleasant, relaxing aroma.

a combat doll, leaping through forests and swinging from its implanted tendrils, pinning down its target before subduing them with a custom-engineered flower pressed over their airways.

a doll of still-living, still-growing wood, sprouting new appendages as necessary to fulfill its purpose.

a soft little plush that smells so nice and feels so naturally sweet to hold as you nuzzle into the petals that make up its hair.

can an organism be symbiotic, be parasitic, even be necromantic, if the entity it links with is not considered alive? if a witch were to show off her servants, would guests refer to them as her dolls or simply her garden? does an abandoned manor overgrown with plantlife that sustains the maids still tidying its halls evoke the same emotions as a long-lost city reclaimed by the earth?

If that trans girl gets super weirdly apologetic, like is borderline apologizing for breathing or is apologizing for things that are basically nothing/happened forever ago, whatever you do, do not leave her alone. Chances are it's one of two things, and neither of them are good; she's either bordering on a breakdown and thinks basically everything she does is wrong, or is past that point and desperately wants to make sure no one's angry at her before she hurts herself/takes her own life. You might think it's weird, you might get tired of it and want to push her away, but for the love of god do not do that. Her apologizing every 0.5 seconds is because she's been taught not to value her own emotions, but they're overpowering her and she doesn't know what to do other than apologize like her life depends on it. Her life might not depend on it, but it very well could depend on how you respond to her heart's most desperate cries for help
