I also compulsively hoard video game screenshots, especially for emergent-narrative games like Kenshi and ESPECIALLY Morrowind. I have hundreds of gigabytes of Morrowind screenshots, it's KIND of a problem.

the move to webp as the dominant format honestly was one of the main reasons I stopped, as well as it just becoming much harder to save images from the internet these days. opening my current Pictures folder takes literally 5+ minutes to load because of the file format i'm assuming because all the other pictures folders open and load instantly despite being just as filled
