Final - Trace of Time
For this final project, I eventually ended up choosing the theme of time. We use cameras to capture one moment's scenery as we press down the shutter button. People freeze-frame meaningful moments that happen in a flash and appreciate the beauty of that instant. However, there are also many photographers who are passionate about showing the presence of time in their artwork. So in my final assignment, I wanted to use the different sceneries I chose to be able to successfully capture the trace left down by time and the presence of time.

Title: Rain & Reflection
Project Description: For this final project, I want to explore the theme of rain and reflection. Rainy day is always my favorite day out of other weather. Rain is calm, it washes the earth and washes out the negative feelings inside of people. The white noises of raindrops and the smell of freshness in the air conduct people into the process of introspection and self-healing. The mood created by rainy days is more likely to lead people to want to spend with themselves. Just like the water pound left behind after a rain, in the reflection of it, you can see the same scenery in a different way; you'll see yourself in a different way with every new discovery you gain about yourself. My goal in this project is to capture the reflections of water bodies after rain, with this, encouraging the theme of introspection.

Capturing scenes relating the theme of rain and reflection, exemplified by the reference art works.

Assignment4: Light & Shadow
When thinking about the theme of "Light and Shadow," the contrast between bright and dark comes into mind. Wherever there is light, the shadow must simultaneously exist. So in this series of images, I try to capture the boundaries of light and the coexisting darkness and at the same time, highlight the contrast between them with low and high exposures.

Assignment 1
The photographer I chose is William Eggleston. William Eggleston’s photography work is natural and colorful. He takes photos of everyday life with the use of vivid colors, which influenced me because my passion for photography began from taking records of every small thing in my everyday life. I chose these two photos because it really summarises his style and it is the type of photos that I would really like to take.
