Finished Fic: Whiskey Tango Foxcat

What started as more or less of a joke fic for @avatar-hauntober about Asami being transformed into a fox cat adopted by General Iroh became a multi-month project with a plot and everything. Go figure. This is a fun one - a bit spicy, a lot embarrassing, and hopefully containing a little nugget of truth about the way that pets can heal your wounds and open your heart.

Finished Fic! And Everything After

Whew! Nothing like writing a gap-filler that winds up being twice as long as the original fic.

I owe this story to @mikasaessucasaa, who commented on my vampire!Asami fic where she turns General Iroh, "What an interesting concept! I would love to see a continuation diving deeper on the guilt and resentment they likely had to get over between them, whether insignificant or not." The idea never left me, and eventually I realized that I, too, wanted to know how that went. I couldn't imagine that Iroh, with his lifetime of service, took well to the notion that he now had to eat people. What's a firebender without sunlight? How did he treat Asami? And Asami herself in canon has one of the strongest moral compasses of LoK. How did she handle vampirism to begin with? How much control does she have?

When @avatar-hauntober rolled around with the fantastic prompt "Eatamies to Lovers" I decided to find out. Just goes to show, fic authors absolutely read comments. Who knows, you might just have the next great idea.

This is a fun one. Written for @avatar-hauntober October 9th prompt: A Beast in the Sack. In which a bitter and overworked Asami Sato gets turned into a fox cat, only to be grudgingly adopted by a lonely heartbroken General Iroh more in need of a friend than he realizes. As Asami tries to communicate her situation and Iroh learns how to care for a pet, maybe they'll both see that there's space for love in their lives after all. And perhaps even space in Iroh's bed.

Or, the one in which I turn Asami into Iroh's pet just for fun.
