modern day figure skating elsa? (not sure if this has been done before . . .)
The reason why Elsa’s fans called her The Ice Queen really wasn’t just for style.
She had the most gorgeous costumes, that rumor said were sewn, hand-stitched by herself, that always shone in the most beautiful way shen whe was doing figures, and had those forever blue reflections that married perfectly with the ice she was dancing on. She truly was the one everyone was staring at and waiting for in championships.
She practically always hit the top score in competitions which made her literally reign on the others, men AND women. Figure skating clubs and schools often referred her as the ultimate example to follow, the Queen to worship and take example of in terms of technics.
And, last but not least, she had the most sarcastic, amusingly cold, way to answer questions in press conferences. She always wore that little smirk on the corner of the mouth when a journalist asked a dumb question, and if one had the really bad idea to make a misogynistic remark, she would send them a cold blue-eyed stare. A cameraman once swore that his camera went off for a couple of seconds when the temperature suddenly dropped in the press room (which often was the effect that she made when she was angry at a question).
So it was no surprise that her fans, in the audience, always wore shades of blue, fake crowns, and stared at the kiss cam when it pointed to them with fake annoyance before all giggling together.
But the only person that The Ice Queen seemed to melted to, was her younger sister Anna, who was always seen on the side of the ice rink. After each and every performance, Elsa tackled her into a hug, and Anna always bounced along when they revealed the score. Journalists have tried their best to question the young sister, to know more about her, but they never could. The Ice Queen was very protective about her identity and private life.

Fluffy prompt: Elsa playing with her snowgies ;) and Anna is like awwwww so cute
“Fine, fine, I’m coming”, giggled Elsa as she followed the insistent snowgies.
“You can understand what they say?” Said Anna, intrigued, as she saw her walking away following the little group of 5 snowgies that were boucing their way up the ice stairs.
“No, I just understand that they want me to follow them. They don’t even talk anyway.” Smiled Elsa as she walked up, her voice echoing in the hall of the ice palace with its magical walls.
Anna sighed in a tender way as she put their travel bags on the bright blue floor. They had barely arrived on the top of the North Mountain, barely finished talking with Marshmallow, and now the snowgies wanted Elsa to come play with her? The sisters haven’t even got time to catch their breath from the hike.
Though Anna noticed, as they came to visit the snowgies from time to time, that Elsa sort of recharged her energy when she entered the ice palace. Anna figured that it acted like a cocoon to her, because even if she was feeling down or exhausted by her royal duties (which often was the reason why they took a break from their Arendelle life and came up there to enjoy some days off), she quickly was feeling better as soon as she passed the gates.
Anna walked up the ice stairs, and she heard Elsa laugh on the upper floor, which made her smile too. She nearly slipped on the last step and mumble to herself on how clumsy she was.
Finally arriving to the snowgies level, she looked around for Elsa but didn’t find her among the thousand of tiny snowmen.
“Hey guys, have you seen Elsa?”
They all turned to her in a swift move, which was really creepy if Anna didn’t know that they actually were harmless and adorable, and jumped in joy when they recognized her. Some jumped on her, some cuddled, one tried to get into her hat, and an other was sliding on her winter cape.
“Yeah, I’m happy to see you too”, giggled Anna, for they were tickling her as they climbed on her.
One somehow managed to climb to her shoulder, and she patted him softly with her hand.
“Do you know where Elsa is? She just went up there.” She asked to the latter snowgie.
Suddenly they all turned around, looking at the balcony, and ran in groups to form a giant arrow pointing at it.
“Oh, that’s… Very practical and informative, thank you” noted Anna, surprised.
Making her best not to slip on the ice, she made her way to the balcony, where she found Elsa with her forearms on the railing, talking to several snowgies at her level.
“No, I’m NOT making you a slide.”
The snowgies’ usual wide smiles turned to pouts of deception.
Elsa’s face saddened with them, touched by their reaction, but she coughed.
“No, I insist. It’s too dangerous.”
The snowgies bounced in a begging way.
“Oh, don’t try to make me change my mind.” Elsa smiled.
They bounced with even more insistence, squeaking, and Anna laughed. They started climbing up her arm, going in her hair and ruffling it. Elsa couldn’t help but giggle when they started tickling her.
“H-hey! N-no, I’m not going to–”
She laughed when she saw that most of the snowmen of the room had rushed outside since she said ‘slide’.
“Oh gosh, you’re such little brats.” Gave up Elsa.
“They inherited that from their mother”, smiled Anna, standing against the door frame of the balcony. “Also, don’t even pretend you were not going to give them what they want.”
Elsa huffed. “Don’t call me that. But it is dangerous, Anna. Really. They want a slide starting from here to the bridge down there. So they can play in loops.”
She sounded like it was a bad idea, but had taken some steps back to create the slide already.
Anna shook her head. She was a really caring mother.
In no time, Elsa had created a giant and well crafted ice slide, leading to, as the snowgies wished, the entrance bridge.
“There. Are you happy n-?”
She hadn’t finished talking that literally every single snowgie rushed in front of her and lauched themselves down the slide. The snowgie that was on Anna’s shoulder and the one hidden in her hat had jumped with the mob, suprising her.
“HEY!!!” Screamed Elsa, panicked.
But the snowgies were safe, and as she noticed when she ran to the railing to look down, all of them had arrived with big smiles.
Elsa gasped with relief, and Anna giggled at her reaction.
“Why can’t I call you their "mom” when it’s truly what you are?“ Smirked Anna, coming next to her.
Elsa closed her eyes and sighed.
"Have you seen them begging for it? If I start to tell myself that I’m their mom, I’ll give up to all of their whims.”

One of the reasons I love Elsa? She gives me hope.
Usually, when we think of hope, we think of Anna. And this is nothing against Anna. She is the sun. Her hope is bold, and bright, and it brings people together to fight the dark.
Elsa? Elsa is the moon. Her hope’s different. It’s more hesitant, subtle, more personal. For those of us that think that we, too, are monsters, those of us who live in the dark, she’s our moon. She’s a promise that not all the light is gone, that if we endure, our sun will come. We can rise like the break of dawn.
She does not fit the traditional Disney Princess profile. She is depressed, she is anxious, she’s basically suicidal. She’s different in a way that most people refuse to accept.
That’s what drew me to her. I’ve never been into the princesses, but I looked at Elsa and I saw myself. Someone who feels alone and afraid, cut off from everyone else. Someone who sees herself as a monster. Someone who hurt her family, and though it was an accident and not her fault, she blames herself. Like I do.
But Elsa gives me hope. If Elsa, who has been through so much and could have very easily become a villain, who people thought was so cold, who seemed like she was too far gone...if she can pull through, maybe I can, too. If Elsa, despite what fate intended, isn’t a monster, maybe I’m not, either.
Thank you, Elsa, for giving us, the “monsters”, the outcasts, the broken, the lost, the ones that can’t find the sun, consumed by the dark...thank you for being our moon.

I started this pic on the computer but I stopped halfway to try coloring it with markers. It was a nice exercise, and now that it’s out of my system I can resume the digital coloring ;) The picture itself is based on a painting ; I can’t remember the name as I write this so I’ll write it down in the description when I post the digital version. Snow sisters prompt: Anna remembers Elsa is ticklish like when they were kids and they both have a tickle fight?
Elsa was frowning at whatever she was looking at. Anna had no idea what the paperwork was about today, because she didn’t really care - and Elsa insisted on handling the adminisrative duties alone - but it did look intensely annoying.
From where she was sit and drinking coffee, laid as usual on the couch at the other side of Elsa’s office room, the redhead could see her sister sighing, her shoulders dropped, as she signed one more page and turned the paper. She immersed her nib in the inkwell on her left, and with another sigh, that sounded self-motivational this time, she wrote lines on the new page.
Anna smiled with a sad heart. Was she really enjoying this duty every day? The younger didn’t visit her daily, so she couldn’t really know, and she did not want to talk about it when she had breaks or on evenings so that Elsa could relax and think of anything else. But one could tell that on that day, she really was not having a good time reading those papers. Apparently, the nearby kingdom suggested really bad trades, because Elsa kept rubbing her right temple as she wrote.
Gently glistening in the morning light, a few snowflakes started to form in the air above Elsa’s head. Nothing alarming, but it was the final sign that something was wrong.
“Are you upset?” asked Anna.
Elsa didn’t hear her, her gaze focused on what she was reading.
“Hey, Elsa.”
The blonde brusquely lifted her head, looking at her sister. “Is there something wrong?” the Queen asked.
A snowflake floated in front of her face, and her eyes crossed a bit as she noticed it. “Oh, sorry.”
She waved her hand, and the few snowflakes disappeared. “Was it too cold? Are you okay?”
Anna chuckled and shook her head. “I’m fine. But you’re not.”
Elsa lifted an eyebrow. “What?”
The younger stood up, putting her coffee cup on Elsa’s desk.
“I barely have room to put my cup down, see?” Anna pointed out. “You’re super messy.”
“I just have a lot of paperwork”, shrugged Elsa.
“And you’re not enjoying any part of it”, said Anna.
Elsa just hummed in return, looking back to the paper she was holding.
“I say that because you’re usually very organized. If your desk is messy, it means you’re upset.”
The blonde lifted her head, surprised by her analysis, and looked at Anna, who send her a ‘yep’ sign of the eyes.
“So…”
She turned around the desk.
“As I know you won’t take a break anytime soon…”
She approached Elsa’s chair, and the elder looked at her movements with confusion.
“I figured out that the only way to make you relax…”
Anna suddenly jumped to Elsa, her hands grasping her ribs.
“IS A TICKLE FIGHT!!” she yelled, beaming.
Elsa immediatly burst out of laughing, dropping her nib. “AH!! Anna!!”
She kept laughing, gasping for air, and Anna was soon attacked back. With a surprised laughter, the redhead noticed how Elsa remembered just as much as her where she was the most sensible. The Queen even cheated a bit by tickling her with gently cold fingers, and Anna laughed even more.
Finally, catching their breaths, they panted and stopped their fight.
“You should come in my office more often”, smiled Elsa, her face way more brighter than before. “I needed this.”
“You’re welcome”, shimed Anna.

Prompt: Anna finding a stray puppy/kitten and begging Elsa to keep it
Anna kept bouncing around Elsa as they were walking down the corridor.
“Pleeeeaaaase? Please please please please please??!!!”
Elsa chuckled at her excitment and dedication. “The amount of ‘please’s doesn’t change anything, Anna. We are not going to keep a kitten.”
Anna dramatically tugged on Elsa’s dress, and the latter was relieved to know that it wouldn’t rip under her grip because otherwise, she would pretty much have been naked in the middle of the castle in front of the guards.
Those passing by guards smiled discreetly at Anna’s begging, and how Elsa was trying really hard to refuse.
“PLEASE!” asked Anna. “I’ll give you a ton of chocolates in return. Please, it’s just a tiny little kitten! Lost and alone! It just wants a home!!”
She exaggerated her voice on that last word. Damn, thought Elsa, she knew where to hit her. Finding a feeling of home? That touched her to the core.
Elsa blushed and turned her head away, pushing Anna to continue walking down the corridor.
“Gerda is allergic to cats. It can’t be.”
Anna rolled her eyes. “That’s a blatant lie.”
She put herself in front of Elsa, and the blonde jumped in surprise to the point of almost dropping the books she was holding. “Anna!”
“You have no excuses! Zero arguments! We. Must. Adopt. This. Kitten.”
“NO.” stated Elsa.
Anna pouted.
“Now step aside, or I freeze your butt.”
Anna did as she asked, for she knew Elsa really was apt to do like she threatened. The Queen shook her head and went down the stairs, when suddenly something blocked her way.
But it wasn’t Anna.
An indeed tiny, little kitten was standing in front of her, black as coal, staring at the Queen with eyes filled with attention and love.
A servant ran to them. “Your Majesty!!” he apologized. “I couldn’t stop that animal. It entered when I looked away, I’m sorry!!”
“It’s fine”, replied Elsa, and Anna was surprised of how her voice had changed. She stepped forward and noticed that Elsa’s face had, pretty much literally, melted, at the sight of the kitten.
The blonde crouched, sitting on the stairs, and she put her books down. “Hey there”, she called the kitten with a soft voice, that Anns had never heard from her.
With amazement, the redhead saw the kitten hesitate, sniffing Elsa’s stretched fingers.
“Don’t be afraid. It’s alright.”
The kitten kept sniffing Elsa’s entire hand, then rubbed the corner of its lips and its cheek in Elsa’s palm. She beamed at how it accepted the stroke.
“Well? I thought you said you’d never love it.” mocked Anna.
“You haven’t… Uhm, you haven’t told me that the kitten was black” improvised Elsa.
Anna lifted an eyebrow and a smirked stretched her lips. With sarcasm, she looked at Elsa. “Are you serious right now?”
Elsa blushed and continued to pet the stray kitten. It was purring so loudly she could hear it from there, and Elsa loved it.
Then Anna’s eyes widened when it hit her. It had been a while since Elsa allowed herself to touch an animal, and it had been even longer since an animal actually showed her pleasure to being petted. Anna’s smile became sadder, but also wider.
“Elsa, I think it would even be better to you than it would be to me.”
The blonde lifted her head, confused. But Anna chuckled, not wanting to explain, and crouched next to her to sit in the stairs as well and pet the purring kitten which was currently having the time of its life.

Snow sister prompt: Elsa is SUPER scared of thunderstorms, Anna finds her a nervous wreck and tries to soothe her fears?~
Anna turned in her bed when she heard a soft knock on her door. Who was it at this hour? She had just found sleep, with all that noise outside. The thunderstorm was really close to the Arendelle village and probably the loudest she had ever heard. What was troubling the Princess’ sleep now?
She sat up and rubbed her eyes to look at her open door. The open bedroom door policy was a thing that Elsa and her had promise to keep forever, and that way, they never shut each other out and found their complicity again. Anna was therefore not surprised to find Elsa on the threshold. After all, she had recognized her 3-knocks rhythm on the wood.
“Anna… Can I come in?” The elder asked in the shadow, her eyes glistening so clearly that Anna saw them from her bed.
“Of course”, assured Anna, her voice drowsy.
Elsa entered with soft steps.
“You’re not sleeping?” asked Anna as she lit up the candle on her bedside table.
With the light, they perceived each other clearly. When Elsa saw Anna’s hair that was such a mess it looked like a mane, Elsa almost dropped every ounce of fear and was about to laugh, but suddenly another thunder crack resonated and the whole castle trembled.
The blonde gasped, jumping away, and Anna’s eyes widened.
“Oh, it’s the thunderstorm, right?” She understood, and her sleepy face switched to worry.
Elsa nodded, anxious and mute.
“Hey, come here”, Anna invited her with a hand motion.
They were used to sleep in each other’s bed, so Anna sit aside and Elsa knew she could go under the sheets next to her. Nevertheless, she stood still where she was.
Elsa was breathing sharply with an apologetic stare.
“What’s wrong?” asked Anna with a soft voice.
Elsa gulped, and only then Anna noticed that she had been folding her hands together on her chest the whole time. “I’m… I’m very cold, because I’m scared, so…” Elsa turned her hands, fidgeting with her fingers, a sign of stress. “It won’t be comfortable.”
Anna smiled. “Nonsense. It’s always comfortable when you sleep with me. And… The cold never bothered me anyway.”
Elsa chuckled at her humor, and Anna was happy to see that it made her posture shifted a bit. Her eyes melted and she stepped to the bed.
Another thunder crack, even louder, briskly ripped the sky and Elsa screamed. She instinctively jumped to Anna’s arms, and buried her face in the bed.
“I’m sorry” murmured Elsa once it was calm again, her voice covered by Anna’s sheets. “It’s just that it reminds me of–”
“I know what it reminds you of”, cut Anna.
Elsa lifted her head. The younger’s voice wad neither cold or annoyed, but comprehensive. She also stopped Elsa’s words to avoid them an emotional breakdown. The blonde climbed on the bed and Anna lifted the linens so that she could go underneath.
“Are you sure about this?” asked Elsa, still anxious. “I’m really cold”
Anna gently slapped her hands on Elsa’s cheeks, squeezing them a bit. “Mmmmmh nope, don’t seem that cold to me.”
They giggled and laid down together.
“Here. Better?”
“Way better”, assured Elsa.
Anna was about to blew on the candle, but realized it was better with it. “Do we keep the light on?”
“Yes, please”, almost begged Elsa, her eyes into hers.
Anna cuddled closer with a smile, and started to pass a calm hand on Elsa’s fresh arm. She hummed a little song, and minutes passed. Some times, the thunder rumbled again, and each time Elsa jumped, but with less and less panic, to the point where at the last thunder cracked she didn’t even react, too focused on Anna’s gestures and voice.
“Are you still scared?” gently asked Anna.
“No, I’m alright now. It seems like you healed me forever.” Smiled Elsa, confident, and she cuddled closer to Anna.
Anna turned to her. “How do you feel now?”
Elsa had a challenging stare towards the window. “I feel like I can run a marathon under the thunder.”
