Something about Jay being so willing to charge the battery of the underwater Bounty, even thought he would be submerged in water and using electricity. Just…so immediately willing to essentially sacrifice himself so that they could have power again and go after Nya. I think that’s one of the interesting things about their dynamic—both of them are always willing to sacrifice their life for the other, but Nya is usually the one to die, and Jay must go on alone. Nya, who started off the series working alone, as Samurai X, and Jay, who is always part of the team. Nya sacrifices herself for someone else, and Jay must go on alone. It’s very intriguing.

Also his eyes glowed, which is always peak character design.

Zane: Jay. what is that you're drinking?

Jay, sipping coffee: Hm? Oh-

Jay: It's a new drink they got at the coffee shop downtown.

Kai: Which downtown??

Cole: Uhm- Jay, does that have caffeine???

Jay: Huh? Oh yeah! I felt tired this morning so I nabbed this peppermint-honey-chai monstrosity.

Zane: Is that the name- Jay-

Zane: Are you not supposed to have caffeine!?

Jay: It's fiinnneee!!! It only has two- wait no- four shots of espresso!

Cole: Four!?

Jay has not been seen in several hours.

Lloyd drops by the kitchen and sees Kai peeling an apple.

The silverware drawer slams open and shuts before Lloyd can blink, and Jay jets it out of there with spoons glued to (not in) his arms.

Lloyd: Should we call P.I.X.A.L. and Nya?

Kai: Zane and her can't get near Jay without getting magnetized and Nya already got shocked to hell and back.

Lloyd:

Lloyd: We're going to die.
