I’m in a QPR with a friend, but I recently found out they like me romantically… I’m not sure if I want to date them tho, or what that really would mean. Do you have any advice? (It’s ok if you don’t, distinguishing romantic attraction is super hard 😅)

Okay so the line for me between friendship and romance is already pretty blurry but a rough guide I sometimes use is Do I Want To Make Out With Them. If the answer is yes, fine to do "romance" (whatever that means) and if the answer is no... well. We'll keep things where they're at for now. 🤷 But I've never been in a QPR

The ISSUE is that I want to make out with MOST of my sufficiently advanced frienships. Like, I'm looking for the same things in romances and friendships so...

I think you're justified in asking what the difference would be to them! Then you can see if those specific things that are important to your queer platonic partner are things you want to explore. If you're already queer platonic, it might not be that much different anyway?? (I know its a broad category so maybe it would be pretty different. idk)

Either way, best of luck. I'm sure they'll understand either way, because it seems like they're already giving you some time to think it through🥰

i totally get venting about facing microaggressions in public for using a mobility aid, and i've totally done it myself, but after talking with some disabled people who are afraid to start using canes or rollators or wheelchairs because they're worried about people being assholes to them in public, i want to reiterate that my rollator changed my life and that the amount of harassment i've faced is frankly negligible.

anyway today i was able to take the train to physical therapy by myself, and stopped for coffee on the way back, and nothing bad happened and it was a beautiful day.

other mobility aid users feel free to share your stories about why it's worth it.

My one friend group can't stop saying, "See you in hell!" in a cheerful voice instead of, "Talk to you later!" and my other friend group can't stop calling things "penis" instead of "cool" or "good", so I just unironically uttered the phrase, "Sounds penis, see you in hell," as I got off the phone.
