Chapter 14.5: "Dinner for 4"

[Waiting for the food to arrive]

Soi: (*back in his normal clothes*) Just an off question, why didn't you ask Azz, Clara, Lied or Ameri to play as Irumi's partner, Professor Kalego?

Kalego: Alice and Ameri had family matters to attend today, Clara can't keep her mouth shut to do a proper meeting and Iruma mentioned beforehand about keeping Lied out of any dress situations because he already had to forcefully deal with it previously by Kuromu.

Soi: Right...

Iruma: (*back in his normal clothes*) Sorry...

Soi: You got to stop apologizing for everything. I agreed to help on my own volition so stop thinking you're forcing me to do anything.

Kalego: Agreed.

Iruma: Well it was my performance that caused this problem...

Soi: So? You were amazing, Iruma. Your bow is really powerful and you got to show off those other demons your skills.

Bachinko: (*helping the waiters bring the food in*) True, but you got me to thank for that after all.

Kalego: (*reading a book about blood adoptions while drinking tea*) Hm...

Bachinko: (*kicks down Kalego's door*) YO!

Kalego: Why?

Bachinko: Cause he's idiot that got my family involved!

Bachinko: No! I mean from before! With the whole Evildol Games as Irumi and the whole bow thing!

Kalego: Oh that. I thought you were okay with it. (*sips into his tea cup*)

Bachinko: Me yes! But the President wanting to have Irumi marry into my family is not part of that!

Kalego: (*spits his tea out*) EXCUSE ME?!

Bachinko: Yes! Now I need Iruma to get himself out of this mess!

Kalego: Hm... I got an idea. I'll go get Iruma and Soi.

Iruma, Soi & Bachinko: (Shit!)

Bachinko: (He can't say he's from Sullivan's or Kalego's families! And he certainly can't say he's alone!)

Kerori (Flashback): It's important for a Demdol to remain hidden of their information this includes family information and personal life. Security is always essential to this type of work as per contract.

Chapter 13.5: "Confessions"

(Note: Takes place literally a day after the last chapter.)

Soi: I have a confession to make.

Iruma: I'm sorry, I can't return your feelings, Soi.

Soi: Wha-? No! This isn't a love confession!

Iruma: W-Well I thought with the way you texted and wanting to be alone-.

Soi: I know your human, Iruma. I've known about this since you first told Balam, so around Finals.

Iruma: F-For that long... you knew... D-Did you...?

Soi: I haven't told anyone. Like Balam said, your a rare species. And if you were taken away, the class would get boring without you. And I certainly don't want Azz or Clara let alone the Principal on my head for even looking like the bad guy towards their Iruma.

Iruma: Then... why wait so long to tell me?

Soi: Well at first I wasn't exactly... close with you. Then the whole Music Festival happened, and I've been... I've been trying to find the right words to tell you the truth properly.

Iruma: Soi...

Soi: Which is why when I overheard Dali trying to figure you out about the incident with you and the Harvest Festival, I had to get him off those tracks since the class started to curiously worry about you... It was then I realized I had to tell you now so I can protect you better.

Iruma: So you... don't care that I'm human?

Soi: Of course I don't care that your human-. GAH!

Iruma: I'm... so glad!

Soi: Geez okay Iruma, you're kinda wrapping me too tightly.

Iruma: Sorry!

Soi: So... when are you gonna tell the rest of The Misfit Class?

Soi: You... You aren't going to tell them at all, are you?

Soi: But why, no doubt your soulmates wouldn't care if your human, and everyone else in the class would be just the same. They would keep a secret and protect you just as good as me if not better. Soi: Enough. Iruma... look at me. Azz and Clara would follow you through hell and back no matter what. Sabnock would praise you as a rival as normal. Lied and Jazz would feel a extra older brother vibe of protection towards you. Picero, wouldn't care and just fall asleep. Kerori, Elizabetta and Goemon would be sweet and supportive. Schneider would be studying you similar to how Balam does it. Even Kamui would be okay with you. I'm okay with you. So if you told them, I promise you it would be okay.

Iruma: R-Right... of course.

Soi: But... if you still feel like your not ready, then that's okay... just promise me you'll tell them at some point.

Iruma: ...Okay, I promise.

Chapter 13: "Dali Confronting The Incident"

Dali: (*walking*) (Seems to me Iruma is avoiding the question...)

[Flashback]

Iruma (Flashback): Oh, what happened during the time I was missing at The Harvest Festival? I-I just got injured for most of it is all.

[End of Flashback]

Dali: And the other students doesn't seem to know either...

[Flashbacks]

Lied (Flashback): Iruma only said he was injured, I was trying to get The Pot of Ending at the time Iruma disappeared.

Nafra (Flashback): Gya! Gayopo! Gyaku! [He fell and injured his leg and wings.]

Clara (Flashback): Iruma-chi was the one who saved me so I don't know.

Alice (Flashback): I only came to Iruma-sama's aid when I got disqualified so I'm not sure myself.

[End of Flashbacks]

Dali: (Who else could I ask-?) Gah!

Orobas: Oh sorry about that, Professor Dali.

Dali: (Orobas? That's right he was targeting the Misfits. Maybe...)

Orobas: Professor?

Dali: Orobas, who were the targets that you managed to hit trauma with back at the Harvest Festival?

Orobas: Huh? Why the sudden question? I already explained myself to Professor Kalego-.

Dali: Just this please. This is important, with a bit of curiosity. Kalego doesn't really talk the details to us much.

Orobas: Jazz, Iruma and Clara.

Dali: So you were there when Iruma vanished?

Orobas: Yes.

Dali: Do you know what happened?

Orobas: I sorta left him after hitting him with trauma, but I did hear bits of what he said. He was talking something about his parents.

Dali: Iruma's parents?

Orobas: The rest is pretty hazy, and I did leave halfway expecting Iruma to be trapped in that state and didn't need to observe further but hopefully that helps.

Dali: Thank you Orobas.

Orobas: Just a heads up... It's best if you don't dig to deep into this.

Dali: And why's that?

Orobas: Well if you think about it, if Iruma's Trauma involved his parents then you'll probably be diving into some serious sensitive stuff. Iruma never mentions his parents and prefers to not talk much of his past. It's not for us to poke around with something Iruma isn't ready to speak about.

Dali: ...I suppose you're right. Thank you Orobas. It's not my place to invade his privacy.

[Dali leaves]

Orobas: ...Did you get all that, Soi Purson?

Soi: (*who was hiding with his bloodline ability and a recording of the conversation*) All of it.

Orobas: You can show the Misfit Class now. That's why you're here right? Because Dali's pushy questions were worrying them.

Soi: You could say that.

Orobas: ...You knew about it already, didn't you?

[Flashback]

Soi (Flashback): (*Soi using his bloodline ability when stalking Iruma. The first time he found out was when he confessed to Balam about being human, the second being the Harvest Festival, and the last with Kalego looking through the videos and deleting the two about Iruma's origins but said nothing to anyone.*)

Soi: (*small smiles*) I was never seen there with him, so how would I know?

Orobas: (*smiles back*) ...Of course. Remember, you owe me a favor again.

Soi: Sure sure, just make sure it's not something stupid. (*disappears again*)

[Kalego passes out but is caught by Dali holding and carrying him in his arms]

Dali: ...Professor Balam, take over Kalego's afternoon classes, I'm going to take him to the infirmary.

Chapter 12: "The Assassin Who Could Be A Teacher"

Kalego: A tour of the Teacher's Dorms?

Iruma: Y-Yes! I saw a pamphlet about the dorms and I got sorta curious. Grandpa and Opera gave me the okay for it but...

Kalego: You wanted my okay too, right? Hmm... I suppose it wouldn't hurt. We'll both go see Professor Dali and then we'll plan a day to start the tour.

Iruma: Thank you Dad-.

Kalego: (*covers Iruma's mouth*) Not in public! Not until the blood adoption at least.

Iruma: (*nodding his head while mouth is still covered*)

Dali. How do you like the Teacher's Dorms Iruma?

Iruma: It's been great, thank you so much Professor Dali!

Dali: Say Iruma can I ask you something, if that's okay.

Iruma: Sure thing.

Dali: Do you plan to become a Teacher when you grow up?

Iruma: Huh?

Dali: You asked to tour the Teacher's Dorms so that means you have some interest in teaching.

Dali: And?

Iruma: It was Professor Kalego... I wanted to learn a little more of what his job is like is all. I mean, I know he doesn't live in the Teacher's Dorms, but everyone here is still a teacher and all teachers have their own way of teaching so-.

[Iruma remembers Koro-Sensei]

Iruma: (*smiles*) So I still have a wonderful learning experience here. With you, Professor Kalego and all the teachers.

Dali: (*surprised then pats Iruma's head*) That's one way to look at it.

Kalego: ...

Kalego: (*sees Iruma asleep*) Idiot, sleeping in the cafeteria like this.

[Kalego covers Iruma in his jacket and picks him up to see Dali]

Kalego: Professor Dali, is there a spare room we could use for the night, we'll just sleep in the dorms for tonight. It's far too late in the night already to try and carry him home.

Dali: You aren't going to wake Iruma up?

Kalego: No, he needs rest. So I'll call the Chairdemon and inform him about it the situation.

Dali: You know, Iruma would make a good teacher here at Babylus. I thought for sure he'd just stick with being the next Chairdemon but here he is.

Kalego: He would, I won't deny that. But he still needs to keep his self-sacrificing in check.

Dali: True. But he has you to guide him.

Kalego: (*smiles*) Of course.

Dali: (*surprised*) You know, you've changed a lot. I never seen you express this much kindness before, and when you did it before it barely shows. In fact, you've been expressing yourself more like this since... since ... Huh.

Kalego: What?

Dali: Kalego, I don't mean to pry but what did you see in those cameras from the Harvest Festival.

Kalego: Excuse me?

Dali: Sorry I know it's not my place to question, but the personal cameras for sure should have captured every students actions. There was no videos shown for Iruma when he vanished and you did the report on him so-.

Kalego: No. I don't know what happened with Iruma. Those videos never showed it.

Dali: ...I see. Well anyway, I'll go find a free room and come back.

[Dali leaves]

Kalego: (Perspective as always, Professor Dali.)

Chapter 11: "The Assassin Who Got Proposed On Live Television"

(Note: This idea was originally scrapped from being Chapter 10 since originally the Demdol Games was supposed to be skipped here due to most of the plot would have been the same as the original. But I'm bringing back in late, as Chapter 11, so this would probably complicate the timeline, just be aware this chapter was suppose to go before Chapter 10's timeline, so I apologize for the confusion. This is Iruma's family reactions to the Demdol Games.)

[Kalego and Balam see Iruma appear on live television]

Balam: Isn't that... Iruma?

Kalego: Yes.

Balam: But why is he-?

Kalego: A Demdol? Because my other student asked him to be her permanent partner.

Balam: How do you know this?

Kalego: You know how I gave Iruma piano lessons long before the Music Festival?

Balam: Oh my god... you taught him piano because of this reason?

Kalego: That and the Chairdemon recommended me to him.

Balam: Are you still interested in watching?

Kalego: I was gonna skip it... but I wanna make sure he's gonna be okay until the games end.

Balam: What do you think is happening with the Chairdemon?

Kalego: Probably recording everything as we speak.

[During the Break The Targets Event, Kalego gets a call from Bachinko]

Kalego: Hello-?

Bachinko: CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHY IRUMA IS DRESSED AS A GIRL AND TRYING TO COPY ME ON LIVE TELEVISION?!

Kalego: If you're free to come over to Babylus, then come join me and Shichiro in watching and we'll talk about why there.

[A minute later]

Kalego: That was fast.

Bachinko: Now explain!

Balam: Iruma as the girl Irumi was a permanent Demdol partner for Kuromu. I just found out today.

Kalego: And I am his piano tutor for that reason.

Bachinko: And you two are okay with our kid in a dress on live television?

Kalego: As long as he doesn't do anything stupid, then he is free to do what he wants.

Balam: I think it looks cute on him. Stay until the games are over, Bachinko. We have snacks and wine.

Bachinko: ...Okay fine.

[Literally a minute later.]

Kuromu (TV): Because I'm going to marry her!

Kalego, Balam & Bachinko: IRUMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

[Going back to the timeline of Chapter 10]

Sullivan: (*chuckles*) I knew asking you was the right call. Alright then, by the end of his first year, I give you my support and permission to make a blood adoption with him.

Kalego: Well now that that's out of the way. I have one thing to ask about Iruma, since we're all here and I'll be Iruma's father soon.

[Kalego looks to Iruma, kneels down but holds on to Iruma's shoulders so tightly.]

Kalego: (*evil aura*) Could you kindly explain why Kuromu proposed to you on live television, son?

Iruma: U-Ummm...

Balam: Y-Yeah! Me, Kalego and Bachinko watched everything and that whole situation itself was extreme! Kalego nearly left on a murder spree to the Demdol Games from that announcement!

Iruma: K-Kuromu was lying about the marriage thing... I-It was to rile up Gyari to give everything she had... I'm not actually going to marry her guys...

Sullivan: Oh boo, and here I thought I was going to prepare everything for your marriage.

Iruma: Grandpa no...

Sullivan: Grandpa yes!

Opera: I mean, if Master Iruma would to marry by my opinion, it should be Ameri. The Master has always spent alone time with her.

Kalego: That is true, she even made him part of the student council at some point.

Iruma: (Wait...)

Sullivan: Oh what about your little green friend! She's a possibility too.

Balam: I second that idea.

Kalego: No. Never. I'll sink that possibility with my bare hands.

Iruma: (Are they really-?)

Bachinko: What about that pink haired boy?

Kalego: You mean Asmodeus?

Bachinko: Yeah! He saved Iruma in the Harvest Festival knowing full well he would be disqualified. So he cares a lot about Iruma, so why not him.

Kalego: Despite the annoyance in that one, that is a good pick.

Iruma: (Are they really shipping me with my friends?!)

Everyone [Except Iruma]: Iruma, who do you see yourself with?

Iruma: (Are they all serious about this?! Even Professor Kalego? This doesn't seem like the type of thing he'd be into. B-But I don't think about this kind of love stuff! I-I wouldn't know if it's like or love?!)

Kalego: (I don't care for this marriage nonsense but I need to be prepared mentally for anything. Even if if it's a relationship with that green energetic gremlin!)

Kalego: So?

Iruma: W-Well... ummm... I-I never thought about this type of thing before... But if I would choose at the top of my head... I-.

[Hears knocking on the front door]

Iruma: Oh! Look at that! Saved by the door! I'll get it!

[Iruma rushes away]

Extra #2: "Opera's Pictures Of Kalego"

(Note: This would have been Chapter 10.5 instead but I chose cacti over pictures so-. Opera's pictures are based of Kalego's Side Story Canon Plot and I might plan to show one more extra in the future about the photos but we'll see how that canon shows in another time. For now, this is the one about how Opera met Kalego and Balam.)

Opera: How me and Kalego first met?

Iruma: Yeah! I was curious how you knew each other at school.

Opera: Hmmm... come to my room and I'll show you something when I'm finished cleaning here.

Iruma: Oh, okay!

[In Opera's Room as Opera goes under his bed to get a box that says Babylus Time]

Iruma: What's that?

Opera: This is all the memories of when I was a student at Babylus. Old uniforms, a few momentos and a photo album. Of course I don't have much for my first year, and if I was the same person as I was in first year, I wouldn't have done this at all. But meeting Kalego and Shichiro took a surprise by me and I mellowed quite a bit from it.

Iruma: (*sees the a picture of a Young Balam and a Young Kalego with Opera holding them in the middle*) Is that...?

Opera: Yup, that's them.

Iruma: Professor Kalego looks kinda like me in my Wicked Phase a bit.

Opera: Now that I think about it, he kinda does. But he is more into the whole mature but quick tempered guy.

Iruma: And Professor Balam looks so small and cute.

Opera: He was a well behaved kid, still is actually. And very strong despite his size.

Iruma: But how did you meet?

Opera: Oh me and Kalego got into a fight due to a misunderstanding, I beat him up and then I made them my minions.

Iruma: ...Somehow everything makes sense.

Opera: (*gives Iruma a solo pic of Young Kalego*) Here Master Iruma, you can have this one.

Iruma: A-Are you sure?

Opera: Well you were interested about Kalego a lot of the time. I figure I give something about your favorite. And besides I have plenty extra in the album.

Iruma: H-He's not my favorite! I-I just think of him as a father is all...

Opera: A father?

Iruma: Y-Yeah. And Professor Kalego was okay with it too. B-But please keep that fact lowkey...

Opera: I promise.

[Literally a few minutes after Iruma went to bed, Opera came to Sullivan's room.]

Opera: Kalego accepted his role as a Dad.

Sullivan: Really?

Opera: Master Iruma told me himself.

Chapter 10.5: "That Time The Assassin Sneaked In A Cacti Gift On Christmas For Kalego"

(Note: To the people who don't understand the timeline start of this chapter and are confused, this was after Iruma's Birthday but before Kerori asks Iruma and Lied to be a part of the Devimuse Team for the Demdol Games at New Year's Eve.)

Sullivan: You want to know what gift to give to Kalego? What's the occasion?

Iruma: N-None actually. It's just to thank him is all for the piano lessons. I know he's not a affectionate person, and prefers professionalism, but I still wanna give him something.

Iruma: (It's thanks to that I was able to play well in the Music Festival and he even was okay with being at my Birthday...)

Sullivan: Well, if you want to thank him, you should try giving him cacti.

Iruma: Cacti?

Sullivan: Yes. I actually visited his place on many different occasions, and while he is a very elegant type of person I always see his with different types of cacti.

Iruma: Oh well... do you know places where I can find cacti?

Sullivan: Hmmm well actually I have a better idea. Let's go out together, Iruma!

Iruma: W-Wait hold on!

Iruma: This is-!

Sullivan: This is the seed that can be used to be made with magic, similar to the one that made your flower.

Iruma: S-So you want me to make my cacti?

Sullivan: You see, I don't know what type of cacti he doesn't have, so I figured any cacti you know of would be something he doesn't have. I'm sure he would be happy to have such a rare find.

Iruma: H-How should I give it to him?

Sullivan: You can always give it to him directly?

Iruma: Yeah but then he'd argue about me being at school in the middle of the winter break. I know teachers still work to prep the students for when they return.

Sullivan: Winter break? But Iruma, it's still school.

Iruma: I-I... I was planning to give it on Christmas Eve.

Sullivan: (Ahhh, one of the human customs.)

Sullivan: Well Kalego would be very confused about getting a gift on a holiday that doesn't exist here in the Netherworld, but he would still appreciate it. Though, if you really are concerned about what Kalego thinks, I'll give you his address and you can just leave the gift there.

Iruma: Wouldn't that be breaking and entering?

Sullivan: Doesn't a round jolly man give gifts in people's homes by breaking into them, it should be fine.

Iruma: (It really won't.)

[Timeskip to December 24th at Kalego's mansion in the evening]

Kalego: (*sighs as he opens the front door*) Well that's done.

[Kalego turns to the left to see a gift on the table]

Kalego: ...The maids aren't suppose to be back until next year.

[He looks at the tag that says "To Professor Kalego From Iruma" and opens it to see a Christmas Cacti and smiles]

Kalego: That fool of a boy, giving me a cacti from his old world. He probably got it the same way he made that pink tree.

[He sees a letter from Iruma and reads]

Iruma (Note): This cacti is often called The Christmas Cactus, which is normally used to decorate or give as a gift to celebrate the Christmas holiday which by the time you read this is today. I was told that demons don't celebrate Christmas so I hope you have a great day. -Iruma (PS: I'm sorry for breaking into your home, it was harder than I thought so I had to go down a chimney to give the gift then climb back up.)

Kalego: (*sighs*) This kid is impossible... but he's technically my kid...

[Kalego's realization suddenly gets him sweating]

Kalego: Wait, did he say he fell and climb out of my chimney?! But how-?! When did he-?! That's like over 10 feet!!! Is he saying he climbed there by himself?! He could have fell!!!

[Meanwhile]

Iruma: (*sneezes*)

Opera: I told you not to climb the chimney, and just let me break the door.

Iruma: No I'm fine... maybe someone was just thinking about me. And I can handle it, I haven't had assassination training for a year for nothing.
