seeing everyone else’s lukewarm feelings on the ending is mollifying me a little but i need people to hate it with me. You can’t have your main character in a UC Gundam show say “A newtype is a person strong enough to stand on their own” in the big emotional finale and not set my blood to boiling. How are the people who made this such a slave to all of the imagery and signifiers of Gundam while replacing all of its meaning with this ubermensch bullshit? Are you kidding me? We’re just going to let this slide?
