Every once in a while I remember the art on an old box I found in the hangar back in King Salmon (I believe was a treasure find in an old abandoned cannery) and I'm obsessed with the design. Drew this funky fish again a 2nd time. Alcohol & acrylic markers. Left a bit of pencil in there to mimic dirt/creases on the box :3

I'll make a sticker of it one day :]

Felt the heli who took me on a little adventure to the glacier a little while back deserved some art love, especially after we did a major surgery replacing her oil and hydraulic hoses (natural rubber hoses on aircraft have expiration dates) .

Done 99% in ballpoint pen & 1% gelpen, this was loads of fun to do! :3

Heard someone say to try warm acrylic underpainting gradients and then layer gouache on top, so trying that a 2nd time :]

I think I really like what it's doing poking thru the sky like this. Gonna continue it tomorrow (after I on a whim teach myself how to become an hvac technician to satisfy the evil voices in my head telling me no art until important projects get done ;_;)

Found another use for the Eurocopter/Airbus heli uniball after it's been deemed unfit for helicopter use: paint brush & paint water jar holder :]

Other broken and expired aircraft parts & junk also make great art supply organizers. Might add some empty aircraft oil & hydraulic cans to the collection. There's 1 the helis use that has some cool retro Concorde art on it that I really want :3

Yes- well sort of...

To put it shortly, he's stuck with Bee in the "my injuries are technically repairable we just don't have any of the resources or supplies do fix it" club.

I mean, he EVENTUALLY gets his arm back (Starscream kept it as a trophy, Arcee found out an may or may not have disobeyed direct orders to get it back), but any chance of a smooth recovery was screwed up when Megatron used him to test the dark energon.

When Cliffjumper's retrieved, Ratchet isn't able to flush it all out of his system due to the energon shortage, so his recovery time is at a trickle.

Hell, when they get him back it's almost a week before Cliffjumper can stay awake for a day, much less move around properly and return to patrols. He's stuck at the base all the time and everyone's treating him like he's made of glass and that does little to help his recent mood swings.

He gets well enough where he can go out into combat against doctor's orders, just not to how he was at the start of the series, and that drives him nuts, especially when he discovers he can't drive anymore.

This also reminds me of the time I was waiting in a transmission rebuild shop a couple years back and they were playing the same soundtrack in their shop. Like I know it's an actual song, but popularized in pop culture by SpongeBob.

Even the mechanics of multimillion dollar airliners and big ships (ESPECIALLY the ships, what better place for nautical nonsense than nautical!) Got the brainrot. It's prolly the chemicals & the facts our backs hurt & we are exhausted and pretend to ignore it by being silly. + we're also really enjoying the new free/fun atmospheres as the boomers finally retire. :'3

Thought I was trippin in the Harbor Freight from jetlag when I overheard the SpongeBob end credits music casually playing on their speakers. Normally all they play is the same overplayed 70s-80s dadrock.

At the time in my head I thought of this box as an anonymous art trade box, so... I started w/a couple plane puppies & took home a space needle in "trade". Then remembered I still had lots more stickers with and dropped off a bunch more later yesterday night :3

Powerglide went on a little Seattle exploring adventure last night. We even met another Cybertronian, perhaps a cousin of Astrotrain or Trainbots? :3

We're gonna go explore more today, even visit a few museums

The 🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁 noticed I'm leaving them again for another 3 weeks. They've been prowling the skies & looking for me all morning every time I went outside. They're gonna miss me :'3

Potentially hot take but one of the reasons we need art and music in schools is that, taught correctly, they are ideal avenues for teaching kids how to do something, kinda suck at it, keep going anyways and improve over time.

And THAT is one of the most valuable skill sets a human being can have. THAT is the skill set that unlocks soooooo many others.

A LOT of people I see with anxiety and depression do not have this skill set. To suck at something is a threat. Proof that they are doomed to suck at it forever. And then, often, that either THEY suck forever or the task must be stupid/useless/pointless (whence we get AI art fans who have decided actually making art is pointless and degrading the labor and skills of others is fine because these are useless skills).

Or you get the freeze- the inability to try things in case you fail. The sudden lancing shame and humiliation or hopelessness. The sense that anything you haven't learned by now you can't learn. Which is so heartbreaking and so untrue.

I just hate it.

"What if I write it and it's bad" "what if I draw it and it's bad" "what if I play it and it sounds bad" DOING IT BAD IS HOW YOU LEARN TO DO IT GOOD! You can't skip the process of leaning and the process is FUN if you let it be what it needs to be!

Saw the grandma Bella with this lovely reflection of the sky, airport, mountains, and the other helicopters last night during some maintenance. She's flown these skies more than 10,000 hours over the last 50 something years. She's repaired the city, kept communications alive, and flown countless geological scientists, tourists, weddings, adventure seekers in her time here. She's done a great job :]
