Take a few hits.
I have been excited to use puns due to the AWESOME name of my company but I presume that some puns will get a little too cumbersome as I make more efforts. So maybe I will switch my puns to boxing puns? any suggestions?

Skipping rocks
I was asked recently how to skip a rock. You need a flat surface on the rock. you need to throw the rock with a spin. and you need it to land as an airplane lands nose up. I seem to have done just about that this week. I started with a flat goal. nothing fancy, work as I have worked. pulled back and skipped a day. Gave it a spin to keep my throw in check. and finished the day with nose up. then It skipped unbeknownst to me I skipped off the drive of that day and missed a day on the AVion Journey Blogbook. However as I once again hit the waves of the internet I have accomplished 2wice as much work As I set out to accomplish to begin with. I now have 2 blouses with an amazing look I did not previously plan for. And So I learned a thing or 2 about the path of a rock as opposed to the flight of a plane. I skipped a day and gained 2 designs. Once day, one more lesson learned in the entrepreneurial journey blogbook of AVion clothing.

The Wright Way to make AVion
Le Avión was invented in 1903 by the wright brothers. A pair of misfits from the bicycle shop that decided to conquer the air instead of taming the road. Instead of a world with wheels they envisioned one with wings. How many attempts they made, how many scraps of paper were thrown out, how many drawings and how many days no-one knows. All anyone hears to this day is that flight was born on 12/17/03. Today was one of those papers. Sometimes however what you write in those papers is not all to be thrown away. I sit back in my office having wasted my day and I think what would be the Wright thing to do? We may not be in the same industry but I am trying to fly, Break concepts, and showcase a new style into an already built runway. AVion clothing isn't just a line of clothes nor is it tacky LED wear. Stylish, sleek, minimalistic, suitable for the office, desired in the clubs destined for fly men and runway models. AVion is not just a clothing brand it is a brand of personality, a brand that says I AM, a brand that shouts I SHINE, I DEFY, I STAND OUT. But where does it start? In a little shop tucked away in the heart of the city, the rumbling of 3 little industrial sewing machines that could. That's my bicycle shop. And as a vet in the bike industry, there is one way I can relate to the plight of those brothers working away their day. Sometimes the day is meant as a cleanup day, organizing my designs, re-arranging my tools, sorting out the metric from the imperial, a bicycle shop needs to be clean and tidy weather it Is building airplanes or replacing tires. So too must my organization exceed my very own expectations screen printed t-shirts or assortment of fabrics and patterns all must be kept in their proper place. So to my fellow entrepreneurs all I'd like to say is if today is a rip the paper type of day, make it into a ball and aim for the bucket on the way out. Hope to see you tomorrow as I continue to write on the AVion clothing journey blogbook.

Day off
Today is my day off, and unfortunately I do not have much to report about AVion clothing. My “slave to the man” lifestyle has taught me the value of time off from work. So today I did just that. But like any good work addict I can’t help but write on the importance of some time doing things that are relaxing. today was family day. With 3 little nephews I call my minions relaxing at the park I can’t hep but reminisce on the days off I used to have. doing laundry rushing to buy groceries and make lunch for the next week. rolling in money and never having the time to see my family. so today I napped like a baby. I learned a little bit of piano and cheered as Lego batman broke block after block of forgotten time and misplaced dedication. Food prepared and my babysitting watch having ended I can’t help but jump back to blogging my life away, what I now consider work is telling you how this entrepreneur chooses to live his life. Lego blocks are calling me as the structure currently being built could use some master engineering from uncle bob the builder. I no longer have to jump out of bed to rush to go to work nor do I have to rush to go to sleep before I am too tired to go home. however I have never been so excited to see a Monday come. with the solar eclipse looming and the battle cry of decades of #Grrmonday ‘s pent up I would only be cheating myself if I do not approach every day as I have my every job I have ever worked at. here’s to my boss, my co-worker, and my employee. for the benefit of the company I keep. Much love, your ex-roofie supreme.

The pilot
First let me introduce myself, I come from a very hard working background. Having worked as a roofer alongside my daddyo I learned the ethics of hard work, early arrival, and work efficiency. A decade later and I found myself confident enough to build a house from the ground up. My resume, my employment achievements and my ability to learn things quickly taught me the value of an edumacation. As such I sought a higher education. Maybe I was high! Maybe I was at a low in my life, either way aviation maintenance was calling my name. I didn’t feel like working hard and wasting my brain away. Bosses loved me, supers hated me, and co-workers loved working with the guy that did all the work, all the thinking and never complained. (psst. my pay was higher) Either way after being accepted to school I pushed harder than ever, summer meant roofing with a cool crew, and school time meant loading trucks at night also with cool bosses and co-workers. By then I had learned the pay to stress ratio, and always preferred less stress. While chasing the college party life I landed in hot water with the law, closing my doors to the career of my dreams. I know I only had to wait a couple of years to get a pardon, simple, so I worked roofing in the meantime. Created for the roofing subcontractor crew a website, contracts, flyers, business cards, ect. I made a business out of a sloppy buncha roofies. A one-two independent contracts later I fell on a ladder at work and was bedridden for months. Due to the incident and the subsequent fallout between compensation and such issues better left out of the internet, I no longer worked with them. I was fed up feeding the mouths of ungrateful bastards - err I mean employers - who made twice as much as the roofing crew I worked with, ten times as much as our highest paid employee and I don't do the math for my pay-rate. Out of my prideful need to no longer be looked down on by weaker minded and bodied people, was born a drive, a thought, a journey back into my life. My mom, my grandma and great-grandmother, were seamstresses. my grandfather and uncles were both tailors, now professors, my grandfather still tailors the best suits in quatro caminos, my family makes clothes for our national soccer team, the pride of our nation. So something Lit up inside my head while scrolling through my facebook feed unable to move in my bed, a clothing line! I had screen printed for a successful line that was sold? I think? Whatever. I had glow in the dark paint, cuz it was cool, and all the time in the world; Time not money. Research and vision planning was due. So was born AVion Clothing. Initialy AVion clubwear, AVion lightwear, AVion LEDwear AVion whatEDwear! :) Now my line is about to launch on kickstarter and I have never enjoyed, loved, pushed, pulled, been frustrated, been upset, been blocked, more broke, more happy, more fulfilled, at a job while simultaneously hating/loving my boss as much. ( psst. I hate that asshole, he is a slave driver, and doesn't like to pay) Either way I hope you enjoy the Journey Blogbook of this young entrepreneur tracing a new flight path from back breaking work, to mind bending aviation, and now to &#%$^*@(*#& fashion design. As the seatbelt lights go on to this wild ride called entrepreneurship starts its engines I pray for the safety of my future and for a safe takeoff into the world of fashion. Follow my blog AVion Clothing where I have my Flight Blog depicting AVion’s Flight into becoming the most Fly LED clothing brand, and my Journey Blog book where I will discuss the turbulence of entrepreneurship.
And may I add the same way i felt the first time on an airplane at the tender age of 5 when I was crying, kicking, screaming, yet somehow I am smiling when the pilots show me the awesome cockpit controls that I will one day learn to operate and maintain.
This I Walter Israel, Your captain speaking, trying to break off from mainstream fashion, and break through the clouds that cover the stagnant fashion industry while shedding some light into the darkness. For when the night is darkest and the city lights hide the beauty of the stars, and only the airplanes are there to guide you and show you the way if we only dare to fly. Thank you for flying AVion clothing. Have a safe day.
