what is uuuuuup squad fam fam squad!! i’m link and this shit right here is cool kid™ hiro hamada!! since this is just a super lazy introduction, here’s what you primarily need to know about him:

1. he’s the younger brother of tadashi hamada, of whom i decided not to kill off lol, so he can be played if somebody is interested.

2. twenty one is literally just a number in his case. he’s still a boy genius in his head.

3. doesn’t go to school even though his brother and aunt/guardian really want him to, to not waste his potential, but when you graduate high school at thirteen, it doesn’t seem purposeful.

4. he grew up in san francisco, where both his parents had been born, though they surprisingly met in tokyo, where hiro’s grandparents (on his fathers side) had migrated from.

5. the hamada boys moved to avenir a year ago

6. hiro loves to build mini robots and other functioning electronic monstrosities, which he could be doing at college, but again, that’s not his style.

7. he’s been involved with bot fights and the illegal gambling scene for almost as long as he’s known. in san fran he was, and in avenir he still is.

8. every other day, he gets paid pocket change to do odd jobs for other people, though he doesn’t enjoy things that are too serious and heavy handed. he’s mostly known to dabble in dog walking, babysitting, gardening, ubereats-ing, various tech work, among other little things. he’s a hand for hire basically.

9. shares an apartment with tadashi at the moment, but he really really wants to move out for his own independence so he can act a fool without being smacked over the back of the head.

“i don’t like this conversation.” he mumbled, hoping she would change the subject to anything less morbid. all hiro had done, was water the potted plants for the woman, he didn’t need her looming over his shoulder whispering hopeless words. “i mean, you’re not wrong and all, but that’s not the kind of thing a guy wants to hear when he gets paid to drown your plants every other day.”

maybe it wasn’t the best thing to point out; it was pretty obvious that the sky looked extremely blue that day, but he’d not thought it over when he’d raised his hand and pointed to show it off to go go... and assuming she would be interested was just foolish. “it’s the little observations that count.”

perplexed, hiro found himself uncertain of the blonde’s sanity, her statement and plan for the rest of the day shocking him entirely. he often had bad ideas, and was all for doing stupid things --- but this? “wait, so you have to? i don’t understand at all, but i’m down to come with and film it.”

“i’m not quitting if you’re not.” he shrugged, downing the liquor in his own glass with a huff. his brother would disapprove of the nights goal, but tadashi wasn’t there to police the pair. “my day? oh you know, uneventful, boring, slept through most of it--- how was yours?”

“that won’t do anything for your computer. don’t you know anything about tech? you can’t just take something from a junkyard if you don’t know what it is and expect it to make shit faster. you can build a new computer with that if you find more pieces, but it’s not gonna do anything on it’s own.”

“a pig? oh yeah, i did actually... about seven minutes ago.” hiro was casual with his words, but his nerves were definitely evident in his movement, shifting from foot to foot, before spitting out exactly what he’d seen. “it ran off with megabot, and honestly, i have no idea where they’ve gone.” 

“ hey ! you haven’t happen to see a little PIG around have you ? “ moana asks the first person she sees. “ he’s cute, little, P I N K and answers to pumpkin. “

hiro nods his head, grin laughing across his features as he challenged her alcohol tolerance with crossed arms and eyes fixed on the glass, making sure he watched it carefully to make sure there was absolutely no cheating. he didn’t not believe her, but he did want to challenge the woman for the fun of it. “woah, bet you can’t handle drinking five like that.”

“are you doubting me?” she asks, her tone extremely annoyed at the other trying to make sense to what she is or not capable of. maybe she did have too many drinks for one night, but that doesn’t stop her from ordering a beer. “we will see about that, then,” go go remains passive aggressive as she picks up the glass, slowly turning it as she drinks all of it at once.
