So things actually turned out for the better for her, and Soojung couldn't help but be relieved. She wasn't deemed a creep, she got to be somehow close to the dancer she found to admire overnight, and the photo shoot was finally over. Although, she wasn't sure if she was too happy about that last one.
She couldn't help but let out a scoff when he spoke of dancing. It didn't mean to come out rude, she just didn't believe what he was saying. Though she wanted to say that he was just being too humble, she decided to hold back her words. He was just being nice anyways. There wasn't a need to be so straightforward. However, her eyes flickered to his own, and a small smile managed to creep its way onto her lips. "Oh, really? I..thought I would have interrupted something. I mean, you were into it and as far as I know, most people like being alone when they dance. Besides, if I stayed any longer, I probably would have stared at you like a creep." She made a mental note to smack herself later for saying that. "Because, your dancing is really amazing and all-- yeah." Nice save.

So it turned out fate was on her side. Jongin didn't find her the slightest bit creepy, and he didn't seem to care much that she was actually there. If she had been alone, she would have pumped her fist in victory for not entirely ruining her reputation. But that would have to wait when she got home. She gives him a nod in acknowledgement, a bit unprepared for the words he says next. It actually causes her to cough and choke on air, something that would probably scar her with embarrassment for the rest of the week.
"Better than you? Oh, god no. I saw the way you danced and you're amazing. The way you move and how you just look so into the music." It takes her that split second to realize what she's said, and she clamps her hands over her mouth. "That sounded a lot less creepy in my head." A sheepish grin plays on her lips and she lets out a nervous laugh. "And besides, you seemed so focused on your dancing. I didn't want to interrupt.Â

jongin brings a hand up to rub the nape of his neck, as if itâd help drag out what heâd wanted to say. âYou know, itâs not like I needed the whole studio to myself.â he pulls his lower lip in between his teeth out of habit, but mostly because heâs talking to soojung and it makes him flustered. âYouâre, uh, probably better at it than I am anyway.â letting out a breathy chuckle, jongin rocks on his heels. it doesnât help reduce his quirkiness, he has to remind himself.Â

Panic and embarrassment was all that she felt the more he spoke. So maybe he did recognize her from last night. For her, it all came down to whether or not the truth was what he needed to her. But when did she care about what others thought of her? She had only been with him for about an hour or two and she was already concerned about her image. If she said yes, she could be done for. He could officially shove a stamp on her head that screamed "stalker" and her entire rep at Avenue would crumble. And if she said no, then, well, would that mean she'd be able to take a peek at his dance if he ever went back down there?
Making the decision felt like hours for her as possible scenarios scrambled through her mind, and she hadn't realized she left him waiting. The very fact that he seemed almost really shy and bashful brought the least damaging scenario to her mind, and she decided to finally speak up. "Yeah, I do actually. Not as often as I'd like to, though." The shoot had finally ended and she gave everyone a quick bow before turning her attention back to him, the heat rising to her cheeks as she began to admit the fact that she had been there last night. "And, you aren't mistaken. I was uh, actually there to dance but it seemed like you got there first. I hope I didn't seem like a creep or anything--"

to be painfully honest, jongin was quite intimidated by the girl. soojung was silent for the majority of the time and so was he, but her aura gave off different vibes. a pretty face could mean many things and soojung wasnât just functional, but very prepossessing in jonginâs eyes. maybe she wasnât too fond of him? though jongin could take strong photos with minimal effort, his personality was the complete opposite of that. and he canât help but wonder if the other had accepted him by then.Â

Relief. That was what she had felt. In fact, that was what she had been feeling all too lately. She gave a simple nod, awkwardly stuffing her hands into the pocket of her jeans. Unfortunately, she hadn't realized that the pockets weren't actually there, so her hand slipped down her thighs and she mentally cursed herself. "Uh, yeah. I am, actually. I sit in the third row from the front." Her mind had completely gone blank as soon as she spoke. What else was she supposed to say? Please be my friend so I don't look like a complete loser and loner at school. Yeah, something along those lines. But would she ever say anything like that word for word? Maybe if she was completely desperate.
She didn't realize the awkward silence that enveloped the two, so she cleared her throat and spoke up. "This is probably gonna come off as rude but uh, what's your name? I never actually picked it up, plus our class has about a hundred students so I don't really keep track." Krystal felt herself fidget just a little. Making friends was never her forte, and she wondered how it was possible she managed to have the ones she had now.

The awkward atmosphere is almost unbearable for her, but at the very least, he's trying to help. And he isn't as touchy as the other male models would have been, despite the very short distance between them. But the silence overwhelms her because there really isn't anything to say. What could they say anyways? The sound of the cameras flashing and clicking enveloped them and she felt almost at peace.
Everything is going smoothly for her, and she's practically pumping her fist in victory when it's been almost an hour and he hasn't said anything to her about seeing her anywhere. Of course, that all changes when she hears his voice right above her ear. And as soon as the words dance studio comes out of his mouth, she knows she's in deep shit. Now, to lie or not to lie, that was the question. If she said she knew, would he realize who she was and make a fuss and call her a creep? But he seemed nice enough, so maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't mention anything if she just answered honestly. What was the worst he could do? Actually, she'd rather not know. She took the chance and hoped that her mumbled words were heard clearly by only him. "Um, yeah I-- There's one that's a story or two down, right? Why do you ask?" She knew why he was asking. She just didn't want to give herself away.

thereâs still a hint of familiarity whenever he looks at soojung, but he canât quite catch it. theyâve never shot together before this, so where has he seen her? the studio keeps recurring in his head for some unknown reason. when the photographer suggests that soojung place her head on his shoulder again, in the standing position, jongin takes that chance to ask. he hinders slightly so that his lips donât touch her ear, because god knows thatâd shatter any chance of ridding the awkwardness. âdo you happen to know about any of the studios around here? dance studios, i mean.â if he was wrong, heâd just have to accept that he might be imagining this.Â

A sigh of relief almost escapes her lips when she's no longer leaning onto him. It's not because she finds him repulsive or anything, but it felt strange. Â Just last night, she had been practically fawning over his dancing and how incredible he was. And now here she was, standing beside him for a photo shoot that consisted of physical contact. There was no word to describe what was going through her head at that moment, but she knew that she was drawing a blank and that she would probably make a fool out of herself if ever she had to speak.
But the photographer is speaking again, and she immediately freezes at the next words. Hold onto each other? She could barely manage to put her head against his shoulder. What  struck her was that she normally had no trouble with being held by other male models when the time came. But with Jongin, she felt almost, well, flustered. It was because she admired him, the way he danced was the way that she wanted to dance. She was practically chanting this in her head. Her admiration was the reason for her acting so silly. Her eyes scanned him cautiously, and she had almost forgotten how she ran into him in the first place. It was surprising that he hadn't recognized her as the girl who looked like she was peeking at him (although technically, she kinda was) the night before.
She almost protests about the idea of being held, but his look almost makes her laugh. Soojung softens up and she finds her a rush of heat flooding to her cheeks. She realizes she can't exactly keep her arms at her side, so her arms come up to loosely wrap around his shoulders and glances up at him almost shyly. At that moment, she scolds herself for not keeping the straight face she had trained herself to wear.Â

a few more shots of them sitting beside each other are taken before the photographer requests that they stand up and poseâ âperhaps, you two could hold onto each other?â jongin looks to soojung with a tentative smile. he takes small steps toward her, looking awfully afraid with his palms open by his sides. a quiet chuckle slips from his lips as his arms begin to raise slowly, and he whispers âiâm sorry.â before he places his hands on the curves of her waist, his eyes flicker up to meet hers for a moment of approval.Â

â⎠biggest fan â
Soojung had never liked reading articles. They were always filled with gossip and harsh scandals, ruining reputations and crushing people. If she had ever come across anything that spoke of her or her sister, she would immediately claw at it and stuff it in her bag, mentally making a note to burn it as soon as she would get home. However, there was one person who she loved to read from. Son Gain. The woman was amazing. She didn't write to ruin people. She wrote to speak the truth, to give the audience something that wasn't coated with bullshit or lies. And the way she wrote was intriguing, every word luring her into the article. If she could, she would read everything she wrote all day. Soojung was practically in love with Gain's writing all thanks to the school's newspapers. They had displayed some of the top articles written by only the best,  and oh how she had become such a huge fan by the time she finished reading through some of the articles. If only she could meet her, she'd tell Gain how amazing she was, over and over again.
It was too early in the morning for her to be at the studio, but she was called for an emergency shoot. Apparently, her schedule had to be changed due to some mishap with one of the other models. She didn't bother prying for more details and just willingly left. She was half-asleep, dragging her feet along the floor and into the break room to grab a cup of coffee in hopes of having the aroma keep her conscious for the time being. However, more than that kept the girl wide awake. As soon as she had turned around, her heart nearly dropped at the sight in front of her. Her eyes landed on a woman with a black bobbed cut, clad in a fashionable suit that didn't look too uptight but not too casual. Her eyes were focused on the notebook set in front of her as her hands skillfully and furiously wrote against the paper. And it took Soojung all her might not to squeal because it was her. It was Son Gain, just sitting a few feet from her.  And Gain must have taken note  of the young girl's presence, because she soon lifted her head up and sent a raised brow her way, lips tugging into a sly grin. She wasn't sure how to react, so Soojung stood frozen in her place, mouth hanging slightly as the grip on her cup tightened just a bit.

Although Kyungri's questions were often expected, this one threw her a little off-guard. Soojung let out a choke and began coughing almost violently, casting the older female a look. "Ask me out? I-- No, not that I can even recall. What makes you ask that question? Do you know something?" Her eyes narrowed as she began to prod the older's cheeks, lips curved into a tiny scowl. She could feel Kyungri's eyes boring into hers with question and judgement, but when did Soojung never say something questionable around her?
"It's hard not to judge when you're listing all these things and--" This time, it was Soojung whose stare was judging. It was almost too hilarious to see her friend blabber on about the material of the bed sheets, but it was also almost terrifying since she had completely no knowledge of anything she was saying. She perked up and gave Kyungri a quick pat on the cheek and laughed. "Oh, good! Because that kiss would probably take quite a long time. I'd say around...my thirties?" She plucked one of the sheets from Kyungri's hand, almost tempted to press it against her cheek. The material felt so soft, so nice. If this was something she'd sleep on every day, she wouldn't mind staying in bed for the rest of her life.

âI canât help it. Donât judge, baby girl.â Kyungri grumbled, pouting softly as she began to scan through the selections of sheets, grazing her fingers against them. She groaned quietly, enjoying the feeling of imported fabrics; her inner designer was definitely out. âHm?â She mumbled, snapping back to reality; âCotton, yeah definitely. Maybe some Egyptian cotton, around 1500 thread count sounds nice. Yes. Rayon sheets are nice, as well. We should get some of those, okay?â The female went on and on about different fabrics, picking up several types of bed sheets before snorting at the other. âOkay, okay, I guess we can wait until that happens.â She nickered, pinching the otherâs cheek before heading towards the counter.

[ 'she laughs and crouches down so her sister can reach easily, eyes crinkled up ] I think I left pretty early, but considering how fast people can be when it comes to Hongdae-- [ 'she winces and flails her arms ] Ah ah, unnie please. This is sister abuse! Oh? We're gonna splurge? Are you sure we can do that? You don't have an important runway or photo shoot coming up any time soon, right? ['furrows her brows before gently pulling her sister along to walk the streets ] Not like I'm against this. I just don't need to hear a call from your manager complaining that you need to keep your weight as it is.Â

â time for two. jung sisters â
( `Â ; she looks up at the younger girl before reaching to ruffle her hair. ) You should have left earlier then. ( `Â ; a scowl came upon her face before she pinched the otherâs cheek lightly. ) Hey, at least you finally got here. What did we say we were going to do? ( `Â ; she thought for a moment before realizing what they were out here for. ) Ice cream. Yes, ice cream. And maybe some burgers. Ooh, Soojung-ah, we should pig out all we want to tonight because our managers arenât here, yes.

His apology almost made her regret saying that she went by Krystal, because she really did. She just wasn't accustomed to being called Soojung by people she wasn't close with. "It's okay, really! It's just, I prefer my close friends to call me Soojung because I can differentiate between who I actually trust and who I don't-- Not that I don't trust you, although I shouldn't because I don't really know you." Really, she had no filter in her brain. Realizing that she sounded a little rude, she quickly clamped her hands over her mouth and gave him a sheepish smile.
The question had kind of caught her off guard. If she thought about this more thoroughly, she would have actually known to buy a camera. "I don't suppose my phone counts, does it?" Of course it didn't. But she had to ask anyways to break the awkward tension that only she felt. "But as for the month..I don't think I'm busy much. I'm usually freer on Wednesdays to Fridays and Sunday. And occasionally Tuesday."

he paused for a moment, his mind running through the thoughts of just where he should start when heâd teach her. well, the parts of a camera could be a good start from then, he could probably teach her a couple of the basic techniques before heâd allow her to experiment, with his guidance âcourse. she didnât come to him just to get the basics, at least thatâs what came out for him. âquick question though, do you already have a camera? andâŚi do need to know when youâre free. i wouldnât want to intrude with your other schedules.â

Soojung finds herself blanking out as he speaks, not really sure of what she wanted to say. But what exactly could she say when flashes of him dancing that night were constantly playing in her head, and the fact that she was standing in front of the person who amazed her so much was pretty unbelievable. However, she was brought back from her thoughts when she heard his name being called by the stylist. And for some reason, she finds herself awkwardly smiling and waving back as he leaves, calling out to him as he's walking away. "I would hope not, or I might just run away." Â
And as soon as he's brought away, she gets pulled by her own stylist. She comes out in an antique-looking shirt. Long sleeved, white, and ruffles running down the middle. Truthfully, she never liked ruffles that ran down the middle of anything. She didn't like ruffles in general, and she felt like she was filming for a pirate movie. Her nose scrunched as she listened to the photographer, the concept slowly sinking into her brain. Whoa. In love? It'd been a while since she could recall actually being in love. What was that even like?
Still, she couldn't protest as they began to sit the two down on the set. How close was close, exactly? And she found out as soon as they practically pressed her against Jongin's arm. "Krystal, don't look so stiff. You need to look like you're in love. Rest your head on his shoulders or something." All she could do was give them was her straight face, but on the inside she was practically looking at them with confusion. But she didn't want to hear them yell at her, so Soojung slouched down just a little as she began to slowly rest her head on his shoulder.

he comes back in with a red plaid armani shirt and plain, black leather skinnies. the makeup is thankfully light today, with a thin layers of concealer and no eyeliner. jongin stands beside soojung as one of the staff members describes the shoot to them. âitâll have a vintage mood, with two teenagers in love. all you two have to do is look good and stay close together.âÂ
