A triangle scarf to show my support for Ukraine. It is very toasty.

Another co-worker is apparently having a baby sometime soon. I made this baby blanket for them. 40" x 40".
The recommended hook size was a lie.

A co-worker of my dad had a baby recently, so I decided to make a baby blanket for them using my current favorite crochet stitch. It's 36" x 57". Nothing fancy, but I do like how it turned out with the colors. I hope the family likes it.

I finally finished this massive blanket for a family member. Should be nice and warm and well used once autumn sets in. It's somewhere around 65" x 84".
I'll probably take a break before I start something new. I have a few ideas on what to start on next.

Not sure if I'm liking how this is turning out. I know I should wait until this test swatch is completed — and I will wait. There are just a couple problems, and I'm not sure what to do about them.
WIP Project #3

Part of a test swatch for a more complicated project I want to do. Trying to work out the kinks, and it's being a bit more difficult than I imagined . At least I figured out how to do increases with the Star Stitch. If nothing else, that discovery is a success.

WIP Project #2

I started another project that has so far been fun. Here is a small snippet of it since the first row of diamonds is too long to capture, but hopefully it will turn into a blanket given enough time and patience. I gave the blanket in the previous post to a family member as a gift, and this one will be for another family member.
I like to have multiple projects going on simultaneously so I can bounce between them if I ever get sick of one. I have an idea for another, but I'm in the testing phase of it to see how best to do it. I'm not sure if this other project will be tricky, but it's something I've wanted to do, and my friend definitely wanted to try. If it works out, it'll be in his honor.

I wish I could crochet faster. There are so many ideas I want to make, including some that my friend would have done. It would be nice to make something in memory of him. I know he wanted to do something with the Klingon Empire emblem, but I'm not sure if he had a particular idea in mind.
I also recently started watching The Owl House, and the glyphs are neat. He probably would have liked the show too. I saw someone made a pixel chart of the glyphs already, so that will save me some time if I ever decided to make something with them.
I'll have to dig through messages to refer back to any project ideas he said he wanted to do. I already finished one he started, but I'm not posting it since he did most of the work, so I don't consider it mine. I didn't like the idea of it being unfinished, especially since he put so much time and effort into it already. Luckily, he sent me the pattern of the design for it a while ago.
I miss him.

I finished crocheting this afghan in the (Catherine's) Wheel Stitch from the yarn I inherited. The purple and green were not ideal for making a foundation chain due to its texture as it kept getting stuck and tangled on itself. I ended up having to use an entirely different kind of yarn to start a chain, which led to a double crochet edge for both ends. I was happy to find a color that went well with the troublesome yarns, and I think it makes the blanket stand out more.
I promise it looks better in person. The colors of the edges didn't come out too well with my phone's camera unfortunately...
Doesn't it look like a field of flowers?

I inherited a lot of yarn from a friend who isn't here anymore. He had a lot of cool ideas for projects that he wanted to do, but things happened... and now I have it. I hope I can make him proud with whatever I make.
But I wish he was still here.
There's some yarn I'm not sure what to do with though. They're brand new skeins, but they were meant for specific gift projects. I don't feel like I have the right to use them — at least not at this moment. There is a lot of pain attached to them.
