I love when breeders do that! For me its dogs lol but my Huskies' breeder, she'll post on social media then she'll send you extra photos of your puppy, especially unexpectedly, and its the best notification!

aggghhhhhhh, the first breeder had a specific policy of “don’t ask for private updates on your kitten, I post photos on social media every day, be content with those” whereas this current breeder very rarely posts on social media, but flooded me with photos and videos of the grublings the first time we spoke. next weekend, when my grub is old enough to reserve, I will presumably receive another barrage of photos to help my choice, but in the meantime I am…… vibrating.

I just got him over the weekend. He's 8 weeks. I got him from JD and Keevah's breeder. Someone abandoned his pregnant mom on her farm so his father is unknown but his mom looks like a Staffie mix, maybe with a Lab.

Now, I don't know for sure, but since having him and taking in his personality so far as well as how he looks, I'm guessing he's something like a Bullmastiff/Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix. I did speculate Black Mouth Cur for a small while but I don't think so anymore and Boxer has been a guess since I first saw him after he was born. He came from the south, so, he could honestly be mixed with just about anything. I might end up doing a DNA test in the future ☺️

I'm referring to the alpha theory training method that a lot of dog owners are convinced they need to live by to have a well-trained dog. That method is trash and abusive, these owners are told to pin their dogs to the floor, hit them, take away their food when they misbehave, etc.

But I should not have used the term "alpha", that was my bad. I have another post coming (I've been researching) explaining what I meant and providing some information about wolf packs and groups of dogs to hopefully clear up the confusion and controversy.

Yes, "alpha theory" is true for wolves. Yes, its true for domesticated dogs to a point. But the whole "be the alpha" training method is trash and, in most cases, abusive.

Haha I just plucked Keevah for less than a minute this morning and it looks like a chicken exploded outside. She's not happy with me and still looks like a ruffled chicken. I have to brush her later which is always a mission and a half because she refuses to stand still 🙄😂

Shedding season is coming soon so now i have to preface everything I say to Kida with “I’m not gonna brushie you” or she will sit and stare sadly at me from the other side of the room

Yeah probably, or did in the past. But yes, I do too.

I love all horror movies but yeah there's just something about the ones that could actually happen in real life or that were based on real events that just hit different.
