i may be wrong to feel this way but i don’t completely buy into this whole “the mun and the muse are 100% different” concept because when it comes to your muse being racist, xenophobic, homophobic, a pedophile, etc — your mind still has to go there in order to write it. yes, you are not your muse, but your muse is also a product of your mind. it comes from you so i don’t know how anybody thinks they’re completely separate from what they write??? the muse isn’t the mun applies when ur muse is like an asshole who yells at people for no reason when u personally wouldn’t do that, not when your muse is unapologetically racist or attracted to children… ur accountable for that lol

Ah, hey! I’m finally diving into the 1x1 tag in the hope of finding some long lasting plots, that we can shout about at all hours of the night, send memes back and forth - and just love immensely. If this sounds like your cup of tea, then take a little peek under the cut!

So, I’m looking for a couple plots in particular but SERIOUSLY - I’m down for lots of different things, and will likely take a scroll through your plot tag if nothing really catches your eye but you’d still be down to RP. 

PLOT ONE - In a world where soulmates exist, life is about reaching the point where you finally find them - a worldwide search for your fated match causing havoc in young adult’s lives. Muse A is part of a famous band. He’s arrogant, thinking good looks and talent can charm the pants off of everybody he meets - and for the most part, he’s right. That is until Muse B comes hurtling into his life without warning, and flips it upside down. Muse B is who the universe has destined Muse A to be with, but with their differing personality’s - all Muse A can seem to ask himself is WHY. 

So, yes. I definitely want to play Muse A. I think something like this could be super interesting, whether it’s the struggles of Muse B being in the spotlight, or the fears that Muse A will continue sleeping around no matter what the universe has to say about it - there’s just ALOT we can do with this, and I’m really in love with the concept.  As for pairings, I DON’T normally say this but I’m really feeling M/F for this?? However, I’m willing to do M/M or M/NB, as well.

PLOT TWO - Muse A and Muse B are in a band TOGETHER, the two of them know each other like the back of their hands, and the fandom continues to faithfully ship them together. Despite shutting down rumor after rumor, eventually management puts a plan into motion. Make it real - at least to the public eye. As the relationship beings to rear it’s head, real feelings begin to disrupt the peace of their fabricated romance.

Anyways, this seems like it could be a lot of fun. I know it’s sort of cliche - best friends to lovers, the whole publicity stunt, fake dating to real feelings. But hey, I’m going to be honest - I’m a SUCKER for cliche. 

As for pairings, I’d love to do M/M or F/F for this, I think it’d make the plot that much more interesting if the management decided to push for a gay couple, y’know? Not completely realistic but this isn’t the real world, not really.

OTHER MINI PLOTS 

Something Supernatural - Muse A is a complete nerd who’s absolutely in love with Supernatural lore, and Muse B? They’re the supernatural creature that’s going to change Muse A’s mind - and ultimately bury everything they thought they knew about it. * Basically, the lore’s entirely different than what they’ve been lead to believe, and not everything’s as it seems. I’d be up for playing either role!! Though, I’m definitely thinking F/F for this one. 

Road Trip To Glory - Muse A is a hopeful star, the type that’s made couch surfing an art and odd jobs a profession. But after an entire summer of saving up for the road trip of a lifetime, they’re hitting the pedal to the metal - windows down as they listen to classic rock. On their travels, they find a down and out college kid running away from their troubles and offer to bring them along. * Road trips are so fun, and I think this has the potential to go a lot of different ways. Really any pairing is open for this, and FC’S are up for discussion.

wow okay rant time. i’ve run my fair share of appless rps, but it’s honestly made people in the rpc so lazy. god forbid someone be asked to spend more than 2.7 seconds on an application. ‘semi appless rps’ are not out to get you or trying to be elitist, they wanna see who is willing to spend a few minutes and take the time to fill out an application because those are generally the people who will stick around and actually have muse for their characters. appless rps allow you to join all willy nilly even if you don’t have muse and you know what ?? half of the people who applied will be gone the first activity check. there is nothing wrong with an application, there is nothing wrong with trying to create a literate and active environment for roleplayers that are actually interested in roleplaying, not just reblogging muse posts and plotting with people until they go inactive. if you’re not even willing to spend a few minutes to fill out an application then you really don’t care about developing a character, you just want something temporary and easy and simple that takes no time or effort at all. i’m honestly so fed up with seeing so many semi appless rps not get the attention they deserve because people are just flat out lazy. i get people have lives and jobs and school but… if you’re too busy to fill out an application then you are probably too busy to roleplay in the first place.
