It's because the idea of valuing human life is somehow valuing our "autonomy" and not our security. We can choose to wear masks. We can choose what healthcare provider we want. We can choose to dedicate our lives to capitalism to make money.

Americans are brainwashed into believing that limiting choices is a removal of valuing individuals. Even when you may be limiting choices to ones that make society better for everyone involved. Americans believe that having the freedom to shoot your own balls off is a virtue, and a country that would stop you is literally Satan.

People online (white) will create so many conspiracy theories that just boil down to "Asians aren't complete human beings with their own thoughts and autonomy" like maybe Chinese people are just going about their day to day life. Maybe a video of a North Korean person like chilling is just a person chilling, who isn't going to power down like a robot once the video is over. Stop being a fucking creep.
