LIKE LIKE, HE IS SO SILLY I LOVE HIM SM, I feel that I'll never love another character like I do with him specially since it all started in 2023 ! ! (3 years omg-..)

No one can love him like I do💔 (I literally own him my art skills that I develop so far😭😭😭 I'm not kidding)

He is literally the reason why my artstyle glow up so quickly from one month to another and I learned to appreciate it... 2023, 2024 and now 2025 omggg

And I love the impact I made in my moots😋

He is one of those characters that clearly not a lot of people in the fandom wanted back in 2023 but I saw in him (idk what I even saw in him) but it was love at first sight ! Like I'm so sorry I never cared too much about Bill, Pete, Jerry nor Josh I just wanted Ironjaw💔😭😭Made me feel special to have him as my special silly guy even if he looks like this pic:

It seems that eltingville artists can never catch a break

Well if it was just this I wouldn't have made a post (or at least not in English), so what I will talk about in this post is about traits of this user that this fandom often doesn't consider to be a real possibility.

This starts by looking at the confession they admitted to do

At first glance it doesn't seem to be anything wrong, but when you consider how this user views both Evan Dorkin and the message The Eltingville Club represents, it starts to change, because this user not only gets mad at the mere sight of someone calling Bill or Josh a bad person and states that the people that follows with the comic's message are "sheeps", but they also openly despises Evan Dorkin, insinuating, among various things, that he should be considered a lolcow (which means a person with online presence whose existence is pathetic and laughable) and a creative dead weight.

The origin of said hate is pretty much summarized in this comment which is part of a serious analysis they made about the Eltingville Club.

As you can see the reasons are very petty, being either completely false statements (Evan said multiple times that he actually likes to answer questions and fanart, I don't know what the "doing it for attention" even means lol), over exaggerations or just assumptions. The third paragraph becomes borderline hilarious when you take into account what they say just after:

As they not only state that Evan's failure was "deserved" but just for the sake of hating on him they are also celebrating the decision that killed the possibility of the franchise being the way they wanted it to be, as Evan stated that he had a good bunch of stories planned for them that would also flesh out the secondary characters that he liked (such as Jane and Willoughby).

And yes, Evan Dorkin says that you can freely criticize him, obviously, but that doesn't justify making your entire online presence about it and allow said hate to shape the way you interact with the media and fandom.

The irony of this situation, related to the very first image I showed you in this post, is that when a similar situation happened about a year ago in which someone was also blatantly criticizing how people drew josh, Evan stood up to support the artists and called out their wrong attitude, with this actual situation showcasing that the extreme of going against the message and the author just makes an example of why the message exists in the first place:

The point is that you shouldn't be naive about these kinds of people existing in the fandom just based on the nature of the franchise. It is not uncommon in the fandom to see people disgusted at how artists make ocs, people throwing tantrums at the slightest sight of someone stating that some attribute or action of the characters resembles those of a bad person, people shitting at how others perceive the characters (when they are not doing anything bad about them), people justifying the characters or justifying being like them, people hating on Evan Dorkin and the comic's message, with all of these getting decent support, but if someone dares to points out these, people treat them like a schizo and say that those things never happen, without even considering that those things can snowball and lead into hatred for either the franchise, the author or the fandom.

PD: You artists don't let messages like the first one I showcased affect you, you are still learning and adapting, be proud of your efforts and how far you have gone.

Jane is going to have a role of a tarot reader in the game, there's going to be different places/spots around the town in where you can interact with her

(if the MC's manage to get along with her ofc) and ask her to read your cards, the main point of the carts I will keep it to myself, it may be useless at first glance but it would help a lot to keep your tracks of your playtrough and route

Everything has a cost and there it comes with making small missions that you have to do for her, or give her money or objects of value even if those objects may be important for other character interactions 👀 👀 👀

As the same as Joe's store that haves Joe as the character to well, use as a shop: Jane, Ironjaw and other characters can become characters in-game with their own shops to help the MC's after getting along with them

Última peli: Chasing Amy que la vi con Reiko, la verdad me gustó bastante, la primera mitad estaba bien relax y gracioso hasta que llega la segunda porción en dónde pasa a ser dramático y agridulce (mi favorito), de las pelis que llevamos viendo del Kevin Smith es fácilmente mi segunda favorita.

Última serie: La segunda temporada de sweet tooth junto a Reiko también, bastante emocionante y entretenido.

Dulce, salado o picante: decido dulce y salado a la vez así es como deben ser las cosas, en cuanto al picante baneenlo.

Última cosa en el buscador: La búsqueda de una imagen del Michael de south park como peluche para mandarle a Reiko ya que es su personaje fav de estos últimos días JAKSJAKSKAJSA

Obsesión actual: Por encontrarme ahora trabajando no he estado así tan fijado en algo, pero si tuviera que decir algo que me ha llamado la atención recientemente son los videojuegos de lego (especialmente los de PS2) que jugué de peque y que ando volviendo a jugar xD.

Lo que esperas en el futuro (supongo que es la frase a lo que mejor se traduciría): aparte de la rica comida de mi cumpleaños que será en pocos días jajsjajs este año será mi primer semestre en mi nueva carrera a la que espero echarle ganas y que todo salga bien, seguir junto a mi familia que la amo, así como seguir trabajando para tener platita (el objetivo de momento es comprarse una secadora de ropa), mientras me entretengo con todos los videojuegos que compré a finales del año pasado (saga Arkham ahí te voy, ah y terminar de una vez el FF XV xD), así como pelis y series que toca ver con mi buen amigo Reiko, gran amigo al cual agradezco su apoyo constante en situaciones complicadas así como la inspiración que me da para seguir dibujando porque su talento y creatividad son simplemente únicos y súper geniales, por lo que espero que este año podamos seguir siendo buenos amigos. Para finalizar, estoy emocionado por las sorpresas que este año pueda traer, ya sea nuevas oportunidades, amigos y metas por las cuales seguir esforzándome y dar lo mejor de mi.

I wanted to also ask, how old is Fatima? I thought Malik would be 18-25 while Fatima was around Idrees’ age ,or a few years younger, like 15-17

Ngl l really love the idea of Fatima and Idrees getting decently aquatinted with each other before the Taliban’s reign. I really wanna know about their dynamic as kids. We know that Idrees was a good student, but he might have felt that educational prowess didn’t give him the respect and power he wanted, prompting him to join the taliban. I’ve seen ppl headcanon that Idrees was recruited around 12-13 so it’d probably be a vulnerable time in his life where he felt relatively powerless ,and that would give Fatima a unique window into understanding Idrees as a person

ALRIGHTTTTT (I already answer the Malik question, once again he is def in fact in his 20s🙏 and Fatima is probably around 2 years younger than Idrees or so)

They didn't really get THAT along as kids tbh😭 I maybe could do a second part of their youth because I will address the time lapse when they were kids :PPP

Fatima probably didn't mind Idrees that much as kids but is not like she didn't had a strong personality at a young age (Ali's baby just wanted to play)

They probably had tons of awkward interactions as kids, I always had a small idea on my head that it was Idrees's mom who pushed him the most to interact to Fatima and her family (mostly due to Ali's business being a matter of interest involve in all this after all)

Taking Idrees's to tea afternoons with Jamila (Fatima's mom) and Fatima, probably after school or from time to time (even if Idrees hated it) -> Malik didn't liked to play that much with Idrees, he had already a group of friends back in the day

I also hc Idrees to be born in summer and Fatima in winter, Idrees's mom probably tried to use that as a "they would be a good match" while talking about their personalities but them as tiny kids DIDN'T had the expected personalities😭😭😭

Fatima was probably too blunt as a kid and Idrees wasn't that social, maybe even shy. Fatima would be the first one to call him out for being a weird kid back in the day and he would probably feel offended that a little girl called him weird, they both have their own strong personalities tbh (Idrees in specific because he sure didn't 't regulated his emotions as a kid and never knew how to do so) that's why I see them when getting to see each other again in the future not having a good relationship or any good interactions

Idrees's mom is indeed one of the friends that Fatima's mom, Jamila, had before the Taliban's reign. She probably tried to get Jamila on her side to see if Fatima could be promised to Idrees in the future (mostly to secure that Idrees could be in the future the new owner of Ali's store) but Ali probably didn't agree

But I feel that it was a topic that ended without an answer when the Taliban was set and Fatima's mother and Idrees's couldn't keep being that much in contact and had to stay more in their own homes the same way Fatima and Idrees did cut contact
