Officially known as “Maison de Ayakashi”, this place is commonly known as “Ayakashi-kan”. Its a high-class mansion with the best security, providing each resident one Secret-Service-Agent. Only those who have passed a strict examination are allowed to enter here. The test involves: checking one’s ability to pay a high rent, family pedigree and personal history. These are the official requirements.
Curious as to what is going on behind these closed doors? Then feel free to move in, become part of the staff or the highly regarded Secret Service! If you pass the secret requirement, you will be part of a somewhat strange family, able to make lots of friends or even more! And, most importly, be part of a secret community most humans don’t know about!

Rules
1. Have fun! ;)
2. Please be respectful of the other muns and their headcanons and all, and don’t try to force them into doing things they may not want to do! 3. Please keep in mind that Atavists are a unusual thing, so they shouldn’t transform into their Yokai-form when around normal human beings.
4. The Secret-Service-Agents are allowed to take on a side-job, but it shouldn’t take too much of their time since they have to protect their clients!
5. We would like you to be active at least once a week, its okay if you miss it once, but please tell us on time if you have to stay away longer or need a hiatus. We understand that. :)
6. IC-Drama is totally okay, but please try to avoid OOC-drama. We all just want to have fun with this after all!
7. While there are some species where more than one Atavist can exist, Onis for example, they can’t be from the same family, and this isnt the case with every species. So I’d advise you to have at least two types of Yokai in mind when you apply :) 8. Also, if you think of their Demon-forms, if they have only a partial transformation, like Onis, they don’t HAVE to look exactly like on illustrations, but should have some of the charasteristic, like having horns or wings or smth :)
9. Please send in a reservation before you apply, and don’t make the blog a side but a main blog :) also, we allow three muses for each mun, but please wait a week before applying :)

The Ayakashi-Kan
The Ayakashi-Kan is a tall building with several floors. On the first floor is a big lounge which is shared by all the people living and working there. If you don’t feel like cooking for yourself, there are several chiefs who will cook all day and have several menus you can choose from. Most of the time the residents and their Secret Service Agents are in the Lounge. Then there are several floors where the apartments are in. One floor has two apartments, one for the resident and the other for their Secret Service Agent.
Directly under the roof is a big bath, seperated by gender, that can be used by anyone all the time, if they don’t feel like taking a bath in their own apartments and want to chatter with someone.
Apart from the big garden that surrounds the building, with a lot of different flowers, there is also a garden on the rooftop. Actually there are more than one Ayakashi-kan in the country, but the rp-ring will only focus on one.

The Secret Service
The Secret Service
Each household gets one secret-service-Agent, that is responsible of protecting them. Of course the household doesn’t HAVE to hire an Secret Service-Agent. They mainly act as bodyguards, but can also act like Butlers. Of course the residents can befriend them if they want to or have a relationship with them if they want. There is no limitation on who can become an Secret-Service-Agent, there are also no schools where you can learn to be one, but its recommended to be a more stronger yokai-decendant. One could also become an Secret-Service-Agent while still a High-school-student, but that isnt recommended.

About the Atavists
Atavists come from families that mixed up with Yokai a long time ago, and this yokai-blood shows in a very strong way, so they are able to transform and can use the abilitys their Ancestors had. (for example, a kitsune-Atavists would be able to transform and make doppelgangers of himself ). When they are about to transform into their yokai-forms, their eyes start to gleam.
Most of them belong to a community that is lead by an Atavist of an Satori, that can see through peoples hearts and read their minds. There are some cases who don’t belong in that community, but its very rare and those Atavists won’t live in the Ayakashi-kan. In every family there is only one Atavist, and even if they have siblings, they are raised seperately from them without much contact. Most of them don’t have a parent-child relationship with their parents either. Sometimes they see each other as siblings though. Also, if two Atavists start a relationship and have a baby, the baby won’t come up as an Atavist.
Transformations
There are three types of transformation. The first would be, that the Atavists doesnt have a transformation. This case is really rare though. An Example for an Atavists without transformation would be one of a Hundred-Eyes-Yokai. Those would have the eyes all over their body. The second type would be a partial transformation. The most common Atavists with a partial transformation would be Oni or any kind of fairy-type of Atavists. Animal-Shifter-kinds sometimes only have a partial transformation. In this type of transformation they only gain other, more traditional kind of clothing, like kimono for example, change of eye/haircolor or the gain of animal ears/tails and/or horns, or their lower parts change into their part of animal shifter they are, for example spider- and snake kind of shifters. Then there is the full transformation. Those are mostly Atavists that are object-kind of shifters or animal shifters, if those don’t do an partial transformation. Its not possible to for them to do have a partial and a full transformation. You can only choose one.

About this World
Welcome to the „Maison de Ayakashi“, or Ayakashi-kan! Its a safe space for all those who have yokai-blood running through their veins in a particular strong way, so that they are able to transform and use the powers of their Yokai-Ancestors. This Yokai-Blood runs in their familys for a long time already, and there is only ever one who gets born with these Yokai-Charasteristics. These Decendants are called “Atavists”, and they are caught in an endless circle of being reincarnated. Sometimes these reincarnations carry the memorys of there past lifes, but its not always the case, especially if they went into a big emotional shock before their death. It is forbidden to trigger the memorys of someone who can’t remember their past lifes. All the life-circles of an Atavist suffer from he burden of the same fate, even if it doesn’t happen in the same way all the time. All the families who mixed up with yokai are very wealthy, and most of them treat the Atavists as prized possessions, and get treated with a lot of respect, but in some cases they are seen as dangerous and get locked away entirely. And even if they are respected, most of the time they get raised away from their birth-parents, and being limited in the things they are allowed to do.
The Ayakashi-kan gives these Atavists the chance of an somewhat independent life, and since Atavists are often targeted by pure-blooded Yokai, it has its own safety networks, and gives every resident and Secret Service-Agent to their side, that will protect them from the pure-blooded Yokai. Atavists of all ages can live and work at the Ayakashi-kan. Non-Atavists are not allowed, only if they are married to one or are a child of an Atavist thats living there. One can renounce the Secret Service, but its recommended to have one, especially for the weaker yokai-decendants. Of course you don’t have to be a resident or one of the Secret Service-Agents, who are also Yokai-Decendants, but as long as you have Yokai-Ancestors you are very welcome to work as one of the staff people in the building, for example as cook or housemaid or something else (you need to be old enough ofc). The Ayakashi-kans security network also possesses a system to keep the pure-blooded yokai out, and gives a warning if one does manage to get in.
