My Realistic 10 Minute Mommy Makeup Routine
Today, I’ll be sharing my 10-minute makeup routine and the products I use. I never have as much time as I’d like to get myself ready in the morning as a mom.
I see all these moms on Pinterest with their “5-minute makeup routines”, but to me, that’s unrealistic. Who can honestly get ready in 5 minutes? Not me. Please tell me I’m not alone!
The products I use are all drugstore products, so they’re easy to find and affordable. Because let’s be honest. All of our money goes to our kids!
Here is my 10 minute makeup routine and the products I use listed in the order in which I apply them to my face.
1. Primer
Using a primer is super important to make sure your makeup lasts all day. I use Maybelline FaceStudio Master Prime Blur + Pore Minimize Primer ($9.99). Using a primer will smooth out your skin and minimize the appearance of pores, making it much easier to apply foundation.
2. Concealer
Next, I use concealer. I usually only use it under my eyes, because as a mom, I hardly get any sleep. The Milani Conceal + Perfect Longwear Concealer ($8.99) is perfect for covering those dark circles. Definitely a dupe for the Tarte shape tape!
3. Foundation
For foundation, I use Wet N Wild PhotoFocus Liquid Foundation ($6.49). The coverage is medium for me, which is great because I don’t need a lot. I like the matte formula better. It has a spatula built in to the lid, which is super helpful! Just use a wet beauty blender to blend and ta-da!
4. Powder
I use Makeup Revolution Loose Baking Powder ($8) in translucent. Using powder helps set my makeup and give me more of a matte finish. You can also use talcum free baby powder to set your makeup. It’s a lot cheaper in the long run!
5. Brows
For brows I use Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil ($7.99). My eyebrows aren’t thin as in overplucked, but thin as in sparse hairs so they always end up disappearing when I apply foundation and powder. The eyebrow pencil is easy to use and it helps me look like I have eyebrows!
6. Mascara
And last but not least, I use Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara ($10.49). This mascara is literally the best. I’ve never had any issues with it. It’s a dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, only better. I never had any luck with the Too Faced Brand, as it always clumped and flaked off so I would get flakes of mascara in my eyes (ouch!). But with the Maybelline mascara, I don’t have any issues. Definitely worth buying!
This post makes me look like I’m endorsing Maybelline but I swear I’m not! Haha. I just really love their products. They’re good quality for the price you pay.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my 10 minute mommy makeup routine and I hope this encourages you to try some new beauty products.
