Emilio Pucci Fall 2022

Emilio Pucci is a summer favourite even to Marylin Monroe who was just robbed by Kim Kardashian in the Met Gala :). My parasocial relationship with them has always been uneasy. As in, I love them, but I feel like they just constantly miss with their collection. You’ve seen the looks.

A modern print?? - Emilio Pucci like a lot of brands are modernizing and a few of the prints they use this season seems modern and not in a good way. Emilio Pucci is seen as a bright brand for the summer and using black gives it a night look - I guess it is fall. Depending on who you are you may absolutely love it and as always, it depends on how you style it. A great way would be to wear it with an all black look. 

Scarves inspired  - if you ever see me in the near future buying something from Emilio Pucci, it would be a scarf and most people do love their scarves. This collection seems heavy on the scarves to the point almost every look has some scarf element. We love the scarves, but we love a bit more. yk?

Tops and skirts - if there is something they did correctly in this collection. It would be the tops and skirts. The vibe they give off is very Pucci, and we love it. Is it new and original? No, but that doesn’t mean we can’t rock it for our vacations to the south of France.

Final note:

Emilio Pucci deserves better. Their prints are beautifully iconic but just not correctly executed in most of these looks. As a certified Pisces though, I appreciate the fishes whether it is supposed to represent us.  We can only hope summer gives more for them. It's a no from me, but here is the link to purchase.

Jacquemus Fall 2022

Was reminded of this collection from one of my fav industry icons Vittoria Ceretti. Ohh Jacquemus! One of the now most popular brands, and we love her, but now she seems common… like that one mini backless dress that everyone wears. I’ve seen a lady wearing it in 3 different colours and girls who just seem to stock up on everything and anything Jacquemus. If you ask me… JACQUEMUS DESERVES THIS LIFE BABYY!! We present ‘LE PAPIER’.

A beachy fall - just from the setting alone, the safest bet you can make is that rich girlies are gonna rock these fits in Côte d'Azur or maybe Bali for something a bit local (for me at least). Materials that Simon Porte Jacquemus chooses for their famous dresses are true to the brand - consisting of high quality but somewhat sheer and light fabrics. Giving most looks an airy and angelic feel even. When these fabrics aren’t used, linen is the chosen one.

Swept by dangles - Bali is a great place to show off your Jacquemus affection especially now with their flower dangling and dangly earrings. The collection showcases cream-coloured bags with long strands of what resembles flowers. Earrings were also made oversized and dangling giving a nice pop to a light look. 

Shearling moments - the loved material for fall! Keeping to the fall part, shearling was used in the collection a few times adding great texture to the soft fabrics. Oversized jackets and cropped jackets were both used, so there is one for everyone. But be warned! They are cream-coloured. 

Neutral girls unite! This whole time I’ve only been saying cream-coloured, but we do have a few colours. Cream, brown, black, greens, terracotta (why only one Jacquemus??), and even baby blue for all the blue girls.

Final note:

Honestly, the collection is a handful, and it has so many elements to it that I am unable to mention or else this post will be too long for comfort. I recommend watching the source since it is on YouTube anyway, it’s breathtaking. Jacquemus has always given out the most on trend pieces and I can guarantee almost all those pieces will be no different. This is what makes Jacquemus so desirable, and they are doing a great job.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2022

My first review! I was scrolling Instagram and when u have a clothing-filled explore page, you know a few Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid fan pages are gonna pop up. That’s when I first noticed their uhh… bangs. Honest to god love Marc Jacobs, so I had faith. A quick search of the pictures gave me enough to say. 

The beloved Marc Jacobs platforms lives on! Worn with white socks, but… you wouldn’t notice them first in this textured filled runway consisting but not limited to: vinyl, rubber, chunky knits, all American denim, glittery fabrics, and my favourite: tin foil hats. 

A childhood cool thing! If you were one to tie your GAP sweatshirt around your waist, Marc Jacob’s collection would’ve certainly made you cool. It was seen regularly not just on the waist but on the neck. 

Itty bitty encrusted bras - aka one of my favourite micro trends (thanks to our girl HB) - were shown, and they were well… certainly itty bitty.

The slouchy ness of the all the looks gave me a Maison Margiela / Rick Owens vibes mixed with colour filled Marc Jacobs realness. LOVE that green dress - it's giving me neon pop Tiana. We even see a slouchy bag reminiscent of the now cult favourite Jodie bag by Bottega Veneta. It’s called The Sack. ok.

Final note:

When you’ve seen other Marc Jacobs runways, it may seem simplistic and modern. BUT it’s a Marc Jacobs simplistic and modern so do that as you will. Not the most over the top thing but honestly I think they did a solid job.
