Growing up without internet or iPhones, I spent a lot of time playing outside and befriending little forest critters. Among my favorites were the stick bugs. I remember one summer day, while listening to the rain, a little stick bug came to keep me company in my tiny fort made out of old wooden pallets. I often wonder how he's doing these days.
