• She did professional swimming when she was younger, only stopped to join SM. Every now and then she still swims.

Jurina: As one of the older members and a leader figure in the group, Karina takes on a mom role towards Julia, guiding her through the new era of her career. She is very protective of her and often share their experiences. They share their passion for frozen and fizzy drinks.

Giju: Giselle, being multilingual herself, bonded closely with Julia over their shared language abilities. Aside from that, they are besties, they share their love for sharing their passion for music and rap, they also share a love for anime, sweet food and overall talking about their favorite spots in Tokyo. They also share a passion for working out, but differently from Giselle, Julia enjoys doing more cardio sports than lifting weights. They also got a very similar sense of humor.

Winlia: Julia and Winter, both being the introverted members of the group, they do share a playful and energetic dynamic between themselves. They are each other's support systems, navigating the challenges of this new world. They share their love for lasagna and watching movies.

Facts about Aespa Julia:

Julia speaks 4 languages: English; Mandarin; Japanese and Korean.

Julia was born in Singapore, so her first languages wore English and mandarin, since her mom is of Chinese descent. When she moved to Tokyo she studied in an international school; where she learned Japanese and English, therefore she speaks fluent Japanese as well. She learned mandarin fluently since she constantly speaks with her mom’s side of the family. She never really learned Greek, just a few words, because her dad always spoke in English with her and eventually Japanese too. She learned Korean as soon as she joined SM, and became fluent towards the years. As she was a member of Iz*one, talking with the Japanese members helped her perfect her Japanese.

Her mom’s name is Xiāng (香) Lim (林), she is 50 years old and she is a forensic scientist, and currently works in the Singapore Police Department.

Her dad’s name is Alexander (Ἀλέξανδρος) Dracos (Δράκων), he is 48 and is a forensic psychologist; working at the Singapore police department with his wife.

Julia got diagnosed with anxiety disorder and depression in 2019, she continued being medicated and she advocates for mental health. She also deals with social anxiety and is afraid to open up to people, so when she was new to the industry people taught she was mean because of the fact she rarely smiled. Nowadays people see that’s just her personality.

Lyra Dracos Lim, professionally known as Julia, was born on August 10, 2003, in Singapore, Singapore. However by the age of 6 her parents moved to Tokyo, Japan due to a work opportunity. During this years, Julia displayed exceptional talent and passion for music and performance. Growing up in a supportive family environment, she received early encouragement to pursue her artistic interests.

By the age 11 she moved back to Singapore.

At the age of 13, Julia auditioned for SM, in an online audition, impressing judges with her powerful dance, rap and stage presence. She was signed as a trainee and began rigorous training in singing, dancing, and languages, preparing for a career in the entertainment industry.

Ryujin:

Roux and Ryujin were talking via SNS, about their tour plans and countries they will be in the future. The two have been to unofficial dates before, but never a formal one at that. Ryujin sent a a flirt message:

“Why don’t you come have dinner with me and then we talk more? 👀”

“Sure babe😉”

With that settled, at a Friday they met up in front of a famous trendy restaurant in Seoul. As the night went by, they got talking about their time together at JYP, their dreams and goals, and their personal life.

"You know, Jinnie, there's something I've been wanting to share with you. Ive been seeing your performances and I really admire your confidence on stage and how effortlessly you command attention. It's truly captivating, as if you cast a spell on them.”

"Wow, thanks babe. That means a lot coming from you, you’re gonna make me blush. Honestly, I've always been in hypnotized by your stage presence! You really evolved, it’s like a whole different girl from the one I met back then.”

They don’t really know each other, but one day Roux sent a message complimenting Yves a story she posted. Yves replied complimenting her back and they started talking. A few weeks later Yves decided to invite her to a night out.

They first meet up at a trendy bar known for its lively atmosphere and creative cocktails. As they chat over drinks, they discover shared interests in music, fashion, and travel, sparking a sense of excitement for the night ahead.

After a few drinks, they move to a nearby club where they start dancing, they feel free. As they lose themselves in the music, dancing together with uninhibited joy and passion, their laughter blending seamlessly with the rhythm of the crowd.

Roux leans very close to Yves, before whispering; "Then let's make the most of every moment we have together. Whatever the future may bring." before pulling her back to the dance floor.

As the early hours of the morning approach, they decide to call it a night, their hearts racing with adrenaline and their faces flushed with excitement. With promises to do it all again soon, Roux and Yves part ways, their spirits lifted by the unforgettable memories they've created together on this exhilarating date.

Giselle:

Giselle and Roux met back in 2020, when their schedules overlapped. Since then they kept talking and going out. Roux just called Giselle and asked her to come over.

They start by watching random tv shows, before watching the movie “Carol”. The movie is pretty intense, and made them cry at the end. As it ended they started discussing their favorite scenes, moments and critics of the movie. That lead to an intimate conversation.

“You know Roux, I really connect with you! We share similar struggles, issues, and moments. I feel you and I match.”

“I feel that way too! I guess we both dealt with bad comments from the media..”

“Yes! Talking about that, how are you dealing with that scandal? I mean, it’s bad enough to have people eyeing your personal life, but something so intimate as sexuality must be shit.”

This year 2024 Coachella happens to have both Le Sserafim and Ateez performing. What a better excuse to have more time together? First they meet backstage and go out to see other head liners. But at their day off they decided to go to an amusement park.

They arrive early, eager to beat the crowds and make the most of their time. Hand in hand, they start with the roller coasters, laughing and screaming as they race through loops and twists, adrenaline pumping through their veins.

Afterward, they explore the various attractions, from the dizzying heights of the Ferris wheel to the exhilarating drops of the Tower of Terror. With each ride, they bond over shared excitement and occasional nervousness, reassuring each other with comforting words and playful nudges.

As they stroll through the park, they indulge in classic carnival treats like cotton candy and funnel cakes, savoring the sweetness of the moment as they exchange stories and inside jokes.

Feeling adventurous, they challenge each other to games of skill and chance, determined to win each other stuffed animals as souvenirs of their unforgettable day.

How would the guys react to Roux coming out

Roux was not scared of how they would react, no, she knew that despite anything they would support her. But after the controversy blew up, she was more scared it could taint the group’s image, or ruin their reputation. So because of that, she decided to tell each of the members the truth. If the world couldn’t know the truth yet, at least her closest friends, her family could.

Hongjoong: At one of the nights the two of you were on the studio, you thought it was finally the time to tell him. As the leader, he feels responsible to all of his members, so he would first offer wise words of wisdom and reassurance, emphasizing the importance of being true to oneself and expressing support for Roux. He would reaffirm that there’s nothing wrong with her and that it’s fine being who she is, that she shouldn’t worry about the public’s reception, that she should focus on being herself and continue as she is. But sadly he would have to have a down to earth conversation that she should be cautious, like a worried dad would be, not because of how might affect the group, but how it could put her in danger.

Mingi: After a dance practice for a speacial stage, as they both were catching some breath, she told him. He instantly said that everything would be fine, similar to Hongjoong, and said he thought she was very brave for being herself despite everything. To not make the topic heavy, he carried on normally, but making sure to make her feel comfortable with herself.

Yunho: They were walking by a lake, late at night, and when they stopped to look at the stars, she said to him. His first answer was give Roux a big hug, showing his affection and support. He expressed how proud he is of her for being brave enough to share her identity with him, and was more than happy to share this new chapter of her story with Roux.

Yeosang: As they were making dinner, Roux just simply threw a “Oh, have you seen the rumours?” And he was like “Yes, I did.”, she simply said “they are true.” Yeosang would be quiet for a while before offering her quiet support and understanding to Roux. He sat down and expressed that although he might not be as loud, he still is happy for her and wishes her the best.

San: One of these days, Roux was accompanying San on his workout at the gym. He would actually be the one who started the conversation by asking how she was doing after this scandal. Roux would say she was fine and that she wished people would be more chill about having queer kpop idols like herself. It would take a hot minute for San to understand but then he would give her a big smile and become really enthusiastic in his support for Roux, expressing his excitement at getting to know her more deeply. He would also start asking her question, always making sure she isn’t uncomfortable with them, because he is genuinely curious.

Seonghwa: It was a bad day for Roux actually. She was deep in her room thinking about her ex and how now she would end up alone because being an idol and lesbian would be hard. Seonghwa heard her crying and knocked on her door and asked to come in. As he sat down beside her, he offered to listen, as always, to whatever was bothering her. As she told him everything, he would make sure she knows that he's there for her to talk to and that her identity doesn't change how much he cares about her. As I mentioned on my previous post, Seinghwa is like a mother to her, so he would go to hell and back to defend her. At the end he offered some of the cookies he was baking.

Wooyoung: Woo and Roux are very close. Between all the members, they are the closest to each other, said that, he knows every little thing about her. They were watching tv, when a lesbian couple appeared. As Roux began to talk, Wooyoung simply said: “What? Are you about to tell me you are a lesbian? Girl as if I didn’t know….your gay ass would CONSTANTLY talk about how hot you think Renee Rapp is, or how insanely hot Ryujin is on stage, or daydreaming about living in a farm with a woman even though you hate bugs. I don’t know who you think you are fooling, but it ain’t me.” and would give that classic smile. He would start making a lot of jokes but Roux know that Wooyoung means good, and that’s his way of saying that everything is fine and that he loves her in any way.

Jongho: They were talking about something work related, when the topic died she thought it would be best to come clean with all of the members, so she just said to him that’s she’s a lesbian. Jongho just looked at her and said “Okay”. Now, Roux didn’t know what she was expecting, but that answer was not what she thought. So she would simply mind her business and continue with her day. Later that day, Jongho sent her a message:

“I’m sorry if my answer felt odd is just that it’s literally okay? 😀 Like if you were a dinosaur, you would still be the talented, amazing, funny and caring friend that you are. I hope you know that I support you and that you are always welcome to talk to me. Now I’m at that noodle shop you love, would you want some?”
