if anyone had asked aylin how she thought she would die, she would have replied when she was old and grey. with family around her when it was time. never did she think that would never happen. that her time on this damn planet would be cut short. walking out of the room to head for the bathroom, she never thought she would spot the two figures in front of her, she never thought she would witness a murder. doing her best to stay silent, aylin backed up slowly. though her staying quiet and hopefully invisible didn't last long. it wasn't until "the two figures sported her. turning around, she tried her best to run off. run off and tell someone that this was happening. that she caught two people killing two others.

but her luck ran out. it wasn't until she hit a table on accident that it all came tumbling down. falling down on the floor, she turned around to see the two people approaching her. this wasn't how she wanted to die.  not at a young age. tears forming in her eyes, she did her best to try to crawl towards the door. feeling one of the murderers grab her leg, she knew it was the end.  "please don't." she begged as they turned her back over on her back. "i won't tell anyone. just please." she begged.  every part of her was praying that they would let het go.  but yet a part of her had a feeling that they wouldn't. why would they let her go? especially after what she had just witnessed them do. and she knew what killers did to anyone who witnessed a crime.

fear ran through her body as she was held there on the floor. was this really the end for her?  did she not have another way out? it seemed as if she didn't.  this was really the end for her. she knew she should have told someone to come look for her if she didn't come back after a few minutes. but she had forgotten to do that.   before getting a chance to beg for her life again, she felt a knife stab her.  a gasp escaped her lips as she felt it. she knew this would happen. she just knew it.   would they stab her just once and leave? she was hoping they would. maybe she would be able to live if that. but the odds of that were slim.

in horror movies she watched, the witness was almost always killed if possible. they rarely did make it out alive. if they did, they were lucky. aylin was in that position. the one where the witness didn't make it out alive. this was the end for her. even if she didn't want to accept that, there was nothing she could do. feeling another stab in her stomach this time,  she looked at the two who were doing this.  laying there, her life flashed before her eyes, from everything that had happened, to some of the friends she had made over the years. would any of them miss her when she was gone? would any of them remember her?  

the stabbing continued, with aylin unable to move anymore. this was it for her.  she wouldn't be able to see her parents or siblings anymore. nor would she be able to do the one thing she loved the most anymore. working with animals.  that had been the one thing in her life that made her happy. working with animals like lions, tigers and even leopards aside from cats and dogs. she loved it. but no more would she be able to do that, no more would she be able to find joy and happiness in being around animals. or her loved ones.

laying there, she could feel herself growing weaker by the minute. the stabbing finally stopping. no one would come to help her. no one would be able to save her. she would be to far gone for anyone to even try.  her life slipping through her fingers already. at least she lived her life to the fullest.  she had been able to travel to a few different places at least.  her breathing starting to slow down, she was growing tired. her will to even fight to stay alive was fading away. at least before this, she had her living will all set to go. with who would get her pets and so on.  eyes starting to close, she could hear voices in her mind. ones of her grandparents calling to her. telling her to come home. she was ready for that. ready to go home. ready to see her grandparents again.

eyes finally clothing, it wasn't long until her breathing stopped. as some would call it, the end of the road for aylin.  who would  it would happen like this. and not when she was older.   she was ready though to go home. and home she went. home where her grandparents were.  a place where she didn't have to feel anymore pain or suffering. she was home now.

Event 005: mama’s charity gala

after what had happened at rhee's.  aylin had closed down the clinic for a few days. giving time off for her employees to deal with that had happened. aylin included. after losing a friend, she hadn't been in the mood to do anything aside from stay home or spend time with her family. with a knock on the front door, aylin stopped as she reached the bottom stairs. raising an eyebrow, who would even come over? aside from kennedy and julia, no one else really came over that much. taking a deep breath, she made her way over before opening the door. seeing enzo standing there, it surprised her to say the least. she wasn't expecting to see him there at all.  "you should have called me first to let me know you were coming over." she pointed out before moving out of the way to let him inside.

fingers lightly stroked through the dog’s hair as he came running up to her, but the greeting was far from the usual one— the light lany seemed to once hold no longer there. a shell of herself. even as she glanced up towards aylin, mustering up all the energy she could to force a small smile onto her face at the other’s offer.  “ as much as i would love to say yes, my cats would probably lose it. ”  the two already running off to hide somewhere the second beau stepped into her apartment. i’m here for you, those words causing her eyes glance up towards alyin once again, tears she’d been holding back already glistening the rims of her eyelids—trying her hardest to keep them from spilling over.  “ i know, ” it was the only thing she could say when the only thing she wanted was to wake up from this nightmare. open her eyes and her family be whole again. “ how are you doing? ” she questioned, but knowing the answer wouldn’t be too far off from what lany would’ve gave.

she could tell how hard lany was trying to hold back the tears.  losing a loved one, especially one who you were close too was hard.  she had heard once when she was little that everything would be okay but truth be told, nothing would ever be okay.  even if a person was able to get over losing said person,  things would never be okay for a while.  walking over to her, she instantly pulled her into a hug.  sometimes, all a person needed during times like this was a hug. though everyone was different. some people would push others away while there were those who wanted other people around.  "don't hold the tears back if you can't." she spoke. she didn't want lany to feel as if she had to hold herself together. if aylin had been in her position, she would already have been crying. "don't worry about how i'm doing, okay?"

after hearing about her brothers death, all aylin really could do was to be there for her. bringing beau along with her, she made her way inside before closing the door behind her. seeing beau run up to lany, she watched for a moment. "if you want, he can stay here for the night with you." she offered. dogs were great at comforting people in their time of need.  she knew that much.  she wanted to ask if she was okay but truth was, she knew lany wouldn't be okay for a while. not after losing her brother.  "i'm here for you too. if there's anything you need, i'm a call away." no matter what time of day it was. she would be there.

“I’m not too far behind,” Julia only knew little details about basketball, never really being one to actively follow and watch it, but was curious enough to do some research before showing up though it still limited her understanding of the game, but the buzz around them was enough to rub off on her. “All things aside, it’s fun. Half the town showing up to support one of their own, the pride and excitement on their faces. You can’t really see that in Boston, sure there are crazed fans, but nothing like watching one of your own.”

"the only sports i really only understand are figure skating, snowboarding and hockey." the rest? she either didn't pay attention to or didn't understand it at all.   at least though she wasn't alone with not understanding the sport. "it is fun though. a night to just relax and not worry about anything." it was nice. pretty much the whole town being there to watch the game. even if she didn't understand basketball, it was nice to see everyone there regardless of the fact that she only knew a few people there.

"i understand absolutely nothing about basketball." she admitted as she looked at the screen. she wasn't a huge sports fan. well she loved ice skating and snowboarding but that was it.  those were the only two sports she even watched when they were on. "i mean, i can understand why some people may like it. but me? nope. not a big fan." why did she come though again? maybe to get out to have some fun. staying home wouldn't have been all that fun to begin with either.

“fifty bucks says you will get attached to it,” enzo challenged her, an eyebrow raised. “any particular reason why you decided to take in all of those animals? i have a cat that i feed after dinner outside my place and wouldn’t particularly call my own, since he comes over every night for food and then leaves after, and even that already feels like too much. but also, what the hell is a sugar glider? sounds like a food processing machine.” 

as much as she didn't want to admit it, she knew he was right. "i hate that you're right on that. i probably will get attached to it."  especially since it would be staying with her for almost two months, that was more than enough time for her to get attached to it. it was something she didn't want to happen though. she would try her hardest to not let that happen. "well beau and kira were a package deal when i adopted them. the previous owner said they were too attached to each other. the ferrets, fennec fox and sugar glider, well i became attached to them.  you've never heard of a sugar glider before?" pulling out her phone, she pulled up a picture of her sugar glider before showing him.

Kennedy took the toy from the dog’s mouth, moving it right then left before tossing it across the room. She watched the fluffy form dart off, causing her smile to spread. “Well, I’m excited to escape that for awhile so thank you.” She peered up at her friend with those blue eyes of hers. “Just… promise me you’re not going anywhere, okay?” Emotion swam in her gaze, thoughts drifting from Vivi to the absence of Amoni to the remaining friend she had standing across the room, thankfully, whose heart was still beating. She didn’t want to come over and bring the energy down but the words needed to be said, her heart needed to put it out there. “You’re not allowed. Beau and I say so.”

"you are more than welcome to come over whenever it gets that quiet in town." she noted. she didn't mind if anyone wanted to come over to get away from all that. with all of the animals she had, they were more than enough to distract someone.  watching beau run off to get the toy, a smile formed on her lips. she was glad that she had her animals. they did distract her from most of the stuff going on.  hearing her words, she looked over at her. "I promise i'm not going anywhere.  you won't be losing me at all." she would do her best to keep that promise. the last thing she even wanted was for anything bad to happen to her, or to any of her loved ones.

“I’ve been wondering if coming back was a good thing myself I’m afraid. I don’t know….” Veronica looks at her drink. “Sometimes I think Dorothy wasn’t 100% right. When she said there’s no place like home, maybe home isn’t a choice place or maybe I just haven’t found that place. I could also just be sleep deprived and rambling on.” Veronica said with a smile. “But now it’s not unless you want to leave for the wrong reasons.”

"something is telling me it wasn't the best time to come back." but that was what she thought. why anyone would want to come back now of all times, she didn't get. but nightrest was the home of some people here. which was something she understood. "i'd only be leaving to go tend to a lion i took care of a few years ago." that was her reason for getting away. and it was an understandable one too.

“I think I’ll settle for curling up on my lap. Baby steps,” Kennedy countered as she stepped through the threshold and into the other’s place. “Beau will just have to learn to share. I believe in him, such a good boy after all.” She felt the dog brush up against her, her fingertips passing through his fur. She’d been over a handful of times but there was an extra comfort in how long she knew Aylin, so settling into the space was a bit easier. Her shoes were kicked off near the door, her purse deposited on the counter, and her path veering towards one of the sofas. “Thanks for having me over. Just been one of those days again where the house is just… god, just too quiet, you know?” On cue, Beau squeaked a toy, his feet tapping on the floor with excitement, causing Kennedy to amend her previous statement. “Okay, maybe you don’t.”

at the mention of it being quiet on her end, she couldn't help but to laugh softly. "it's never quiet here. pretty sure that word in general doesn't exist here in my house." not when she had beau wanting to play most of the time with his toys that had a noise in it.  and then there was her cat who loved bells. the sound of them in general. it was something she had become used to ever since she got beau and kira. gone were the days of peace and quiet at her place. and she was surprisingly okay with it. if she did get any peace and quiet, it was when the animals were all asleep in the house. " it has. the town has been beyond quiet." so quiet that it was creepy in a way. she was used to seeing people out and about. but recently, it was hard to see anyone doing that. or being loud too.

enzo raised his eyebrows at aylin before letting out a laugh. “no offense, aylin, but i think we both know you’re going to get attached, and that’s no good because then you’re gonna cry when the inevitable happens when they’re gonna need to take that cat away from you,” he said, trying his best to make his voice gentler with her. “how do you manage it anyway? all those cats, and it’s just you taking care of all of them?”

"you never know, i might not end up growing attached to it." she pointed out. but he made a point. a good one. she most likely would end up growing attached to it. and in the end, that wouldn't be a good thing for her. having to give it back would be hard. but she could deal with it when that day came. "patience. lots of patience when it comes to all of the animals i have. also, a good sense of time management."  she noted. with the amount of animals she had,  giving them most of her time was a must. "i don't have all cats. i have a cat, a fennec fox, two ferrets, a sugar glider and a dog."

Slowly Julia was coming to terms with the loss of her friend, it wasn’t an easy process to navigate through. It doesn’t matter how many people you lose in a lifetime, it never got easier. Julia’s lips curved with a smile as she reached down to scratch behind his ears. “Oh no, I don’t want to keep him away from you. Besides I’m okay, don’t worry about me.” For the first time in the last couple of days those words felt like they were true, she still needed some time before she was back to a hundred percent, at least she was on her way there. “I’m serious. It’s hard and I really miss her, but I’m okay.”

"are you sure? i really don't mind leaving him here." she replied as she looked over at her. she would feel better if she had left beau here for the night with julia. but if she said she was fine, she wasn't one to argue on that.   losing someone was hard. especially if you were close with them. whether it was family, or a close friend, it was hard. aylin herself had went through that kind of loss when her grandmother passed away. the one thing she did know was that it would take time to move on. "just promise me that if you need anything, you'll call me. you know i'll be here as soon as possible too."

as she stood by aylin, her hand moved up to her hair, her fingers lightly playing with the ends. the brown curly haired puppy meant everything to her. royalty was shadae’s child, so when she started acting strange, she immediately started stressing over it. after the vet’s examination, she rushed to be by her child’s side, immediately cupping her face. “ are you sure? this why she had been sleeping more than usual and not eating? ” she rambled off as she picked up the pup. “ my poor baby, ” she pouted her lips before turning her attention to aylin. “ thank you, ” shadae was grateful to aylin for finding out what was wrong with her pup. she showered royalty’s face with kisses. “ would you like something to eat or some wine? ” she asked. it was the least she could do for the woman who had saved her pup’s life.

"my dog was like this a few times. usually due to an upset stomach. plain chicken and rice can help with that." she had gone through that a few times with her own dog. it was something she was used to by now. she knew though how worried some dog owners could be when their dog got like this.  "she should be fine in a few days." she was sure of it. if not,  she wouldn't mind running a few tests on her to wig out the problem. but she was more than sure it was a stomach related problem. one that was an easy solve. "it's no big deal.  "I would do just about anything for my dog beau if he wasn't feeling good too." and she would. she loved her dog more than anything. "a glass of wine would be nice."

“not at all.” he sighed. “yes, it’s where i’m from, actually.” the nightrest job was only supposed to be temporary—no more than a few months, tops. but it was quickly turning out to be a much longer stay than that. “well, i have family here, for one,” he smiled, “but mostly…i don’t know. i like it here. more than boston, really. if this keeps up, though, maybe it would be better to get out while we still can,” he confessed with an awkward grin.

"ah. i've been to boston a few times." short visits they were. sometimes for a few hours at best. when she was younger, her siblings and mom would meet up with her father there for dinner. a quick visit on his end at the time when ever he could.  "honestly., i feel like any city or town could be better than here. at least it would be normal in boston or even new york. wouldn't have to fear for your life every day."

   Time - how many hours a day do they use their phone?    5 Most Used Apps - amazon, spotify, instagram and etsy    Web Tabs - none at all. she's not the type of person to leave tabs open.    Google - 'flight tickets'    Last Text Message - see above    Voicemail - most of the time it's pretty clean. at the moment, she doesn't have any new voicemails in her inbox.    Photos - what is the last thing on their camera reel? what image did they last save?

SOCIAL MEDIA:

   @ - aylinyilmazxx    Instagram - see above    Snapchat - never had one    Tinder/Bumble/Hinge/Grindr/Etc. - aylin used to have one but got rid of it after the match she got was horrible.    Spotify - shutdown by blackpink, shadow by seventeen and permission to dance by BTS. the song she is currently listening to is come and get it by selena gomez    Tiktok - aylin does have a tiktok but she doesn't post anything on it. she just watched videos on it instead.    Facebook - surprisingly, aylin never had a facebook. she didn't find the site appealing to her.    Others - She does have a youtube account that isn't really active. she used to post videos daily while she was in africa. she would post about the lions she was spending time with.
