Sometimes, you just need someone else to pick you up. It’s not because you’re lazy or you’re being needy. You just need to be reminded that someone cares to help you when you’re down and even if that person was to never help you up again, you can continue, knowing that there is still goodness in this world. There’s a difference between wanting and loving. Wanting is owning, like an object. Loving is giving, like you give your life force to death. When you own what you want, you are happy and content, but desires fade over time and objects erode over time. When you give to what you love, you feel useful, you feel drained, you do nothing but give and give until there’s nothing left to give yet somehow you keep giving and giving…. Lucky, love can be a two way street. Someone who loves you back will also give back to you, and the cycle goes on forever. But when you have what you want, you give just enough -until it’s hard to give, until time fades the light in your eyes, and all that’s left is the object’s unheard screams for attention and care.

ppl who think that saying “I love you” to someone a lot makes it lose it’s meaning are so boring literally what could make you think that? if someone tells you they love you like 3 times in an hour it means that 3 separate times they were sitting there and thinking about you and how wonderful you are like. smh. say I love you to everyone that you love as often as possible bc sometimes it’s easy to forget that there are people who love you

My Mom just accidentally prematurely sent an email to an accounting firm… It was supposed to say ‘I am afraid that we will have to postpone our meeting”

but she hit send when all it said was

it always really bothered me when wait staff ignored me + my friends just because we were young bc we are all really respectful people but the assumption was that we wouldn’t tip

anyway so fast fowards to when i became a waitress and one day this group of scrubbyass kids came in and i had 8 other tables with other people to look to but i overheard that one kid wanted a milkshake but he couldn’t afford it and the other kids offered to pay but he was like “nonono it’s fine” and i looked over and he just looked real run down and sad and stuff —- later it just so happened that our kitchen had a mixup so we had an extra shake and since it would just be dumped otherwise, i snuck it out to their table and gave it to him for free

and his friends were so fucking impressed by this they pooled every fucking cent they had i got a $50 tip and later his friend’s mom came in and said “i heard what you did for that boy” and gave me another 20 and offered me a better job working with her

and meanwhile at my other table a rich white guy i was serving complained bc he didn’t want to pay the 15% tip on a $8.90 bill and when his wife said “she’s been a good waitress, though,” he said, “but just plain good isn’t worth 15%”
