The Re-Emerging

After the Montexuma Virus nearly drove the entire race to extinction, a place where the Aztlantians grew and accumulated knowledge and wisdom was prepared to overcome and see to the continuation of the human race. This place was New Atlantice. 2500′s and is located as currently day Hawaii. 

Unfortunately the only way they could do this was to master the art and science of cloning. Cloning human beings was only the beginning. With the aid of artificial intelligence the project leaders began to give themselves altered DNA so they could exhibit enhanced abilities. Things like living longer within a youthful body. But after some time tinkering with the Human genome, they decided to add traits so they could take on the traits of animals and resemble “gods”. Crane heads, and actual centaurs became common place for the “ruling”. To be “human” is to be a slave. Until X-Zuma..... or 10-zuma, born a clone and slave, leads a revolt against these new self proclaimed “gods”.

Main Characters

This series will be simultaneously written from the same timeline, but at different times of this historic what-if land of New Aztlan and Aztlantice. 

The main character in the 1500′s timeline, is a man named Mountain Zuma. He is the eldest son of the former Aztec ruler Montezuma-II and the youngest daughter to the Portuguese King John II. Djanira is Portuguese and means, stirs up great passions. The two met when the Aztecs initial invasion fleet encountered the Portuguese fleet before reaching Spain. But the two were quick to fall in love  and soon after they were married, Mountain Zuma was born. In the European tradition Montezuma declared that the royal family line of the new union would take on the Sir name Zuma. 

The main character in the 2000′s timeline, is Montexuma (x = J* in Taj* Mahal ). Montexuma is a scientist and political dissident and heretic. In New Aztlan it is considered incredibly arrogant to pursue more than a single discipline of study or carreer or worship. As the Aztlantians are Pantheonic Wisdomologist, it is considered rude and selfish to devote your life to multiple gods. His name is a self chosen one. He inadvertently discovers a virus which will be responsible for the destruction of the human race.

The Merging

After the Aztecs sailed to Europe and married with the Portuguese a new practice was introduced to provide more legitimacy to their conquest. The merging was a policy in the earlier days of New Aztlan. The policy was such that all women of European conquest must provide at least one child to an Aztec father. Whether through love or law was completely up to the people. This was a humiliation only to last a single generation however. 

The merging exists now only as part of conquest and not an ongoing social practice.

Social Structure in New Aztlan

Citizens, civilians and residents of New Aztlan and Aztlantice. Citizens are people of age, who were born into the country, and then demonstrate a commitment to the continued growth of the Aztlantian people. A person can do this by serving in the military, join the priesthood of any god in the Pantheon (including the one true God), or contributing to society in a meaningful and ongoing way. Citizens are allowed to vote and hold elected office. 

Aztlantian civilians are people who were born into the nation, but have not yet demonstrated worthiness of citizenship. This is usually a state for young people and the un-creative. Being a civilian does come with the right to vote but not hold public office.

Residents are people who are born in another country to parents who are not originally Aztlantians. Even if a person marries an Aztlantian citizen, they can never become a citizen themselves. Their progeny will however, forever be Aztlantians. You can of course live in and conduct business freely as a resident.

Pantheonic Wizdomology

After the successful European invasion and continued expansion, a new religion became necessary. The Aztecs made a habit of conquering and incorporating the gods of their enemies. In this case, the “one god”. The Congress of Spiritual Affairs is devoted to the free expression and expansion of the Pantheon. A person who demonstrates the worthiness of immortality is admitted to the Pantheon of gods, but is still ruled and controlled by the one true God of Abraham. 

The breakdown is now as follows.

-God

-Angels (lesser gods) Mercy, War, the elements etc.

-Saints (holy people of historic note and worthy of immortality.) People like Jesus and Buddha are considered saints in this fictional historic re-imagining. 

-Immortals (people who have done something that will reverberate through history, thus becoming immortalized.) Unfortunately this includes people like Adolf Hitler, Bill Gates, Mozart and Michael Jordan.

 To the people citizens and civilians of New Aztlan and Aztlantice, all religions are studying the same thing and must therefore be examined from all possible angles.

Aztlantice

After the Spanish were captured by the Aztec people, they used the newly founded information to not only sail across the Atlantic and begin their conquest of Europe, they also used the new technology and spiritual practices, etc, to conquer all of current day Mexico, every coastal region touching the gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean sea. It now expands to the 38th parallel of the current day USA in the west and up to Atlanta in the east. New Aztlan is the empire of the European conquest and is independent of the Central governance of Aztlantice.

Much like modern day history, the Portuguese still control Brazil and the Amazon rain forest. After having allied the two countries through marriage, they are now at war with the indigenous of extreme north and south America. People like the Navajo and Sioux to the north and Chileans to the south.

Former Aztlan

Aztlan was the legendary birth place of the Aztec empire. Rumored to be in the area I grew up in, southern Colorado. We all heard stories of Atlantice when we were young. Then I heard the story of Aztlan and it was a place of incredible technology. Built in a far away place to the Europeans. The CITY of Aztlan was rumored to be in the shape of many concentric circles, with a massive pyramid at its center.

My mind formed the connection that Aztlantian and Atlantians were surprisingly similar. So in my mind they are actually one and the same. The more research I do into the connection, the stronger it gets. 

But after the migration to Tenochtitlan and the subsequent arrival of Spanish conquistadors.

Think   un-Assimilatable American

Americans believe they are in fact immune to the hypnotic effects of social programming. Which is why TELEVISION WAS DEVELOPED AS A WEAPON TO HYPNOTIZE YOUR  own POPULATION. The point was to further the nazi war machine.
