i hate it when i cant even write a poem about something because its too obvious. like in the airbnb i was at i guess it used to be a kids room cause you could see the imprint of one little glow in the dark star that had been missed and painted over in landlord white. like that's a poem already what's the point

Can you remind me of a time when blackwashing was ever an issue? Especially when most characters in the media are portrayed as white? Like im curious, because part 5 characters are highly likely to be white italians, (aside from Giorno who is canonically mixed as well as Jolyne). Like, film directors and animators have a long history of casting white actors in poc roles due to internalized racism. So when “blackwashing” which in itself is a problematic term, becomes an actual thing then you can tell me about blackwashing being wrong. Because newsflash, when the majority of art respects the canon skin tone a few artists drawing the characters with darker skin tones isnt blackwashing and it isnt gonna hurt anyone.
