Since her reanimation, has she been to the Dragonblight?
always accepting meta asks! ♡
— @acherys
Tumblr media
no. dragonblight is a particularly sore point, as it was meant to be her final resting place, as habitual to her kin. it was where her bones were supposed to be laid to rest, undisturbed; the last possible mercy those she loved in life could have given her, after she met such a bitter end. but arthas never had to contend with dragons protecting dragonblight to raise her from the dead, for none of them ever cared to lay her to rest there.
it is extra bitter considering the literal last thing she tried to do was reach it, but she no longer had the strength, no one heard her call, and we all know how that turned out... Sindragosa’s final thoughts turned to bitterness and hatred - etc.
since her reanimation, she sought no contact with her former life. she did not seek those she knew, she did not seek the places she had loved. all those things that she cared for, that were precious and kept in her heart, were left buried in the ice. whenever forced to confront them, she is prone to rage and viciousness — a defense against the twist of the knife that anything once loved will always be. dragonblight would only make her relieve the misery of her last moments, the bitterness she was denied safe rest there. perhaps eventually that could turn into enough resentment to make her want to go there if only to destroy and disturb the rest of others, but the truth is her unhealed wounds hurt too much to allow her that.

interactions with sindra's simulacrum are so much fun bc she seems so real and she has so much self awareness but at the same time she isn't the real sindragosa and she knows it but she's obviously capable of some level of feeling and it's. fun.

ALSO the fact malygos was the only aspect who knew of the dracthyr and helped neltharion contain them when he lost control and the blue dragonflight helped keep them in stasis/make sure they stayed on the island...

there are very few scenarios I think sindragosa would be genuinely ok with allying with others for whatever reason but honestly to have the chance to maim and kill deathwing she'd endure working with literally anyone

do you think sindragosa would like the algeth'ar academy i feel like she would love it. how does she feel about teaching people in general
literally always accepting asks i love this thank you sm
— @lifebind
Tumblr media
she would love it! generally speaking she is just. the kind of person who's not just a knowledge-seeker, but a lover of knowledge. sindragosa loved learning, and valued research and similar activities so much she was the one responsible by the archives. but in that sense, she was never simply a hoarder; the preservation of all that knowledge was also for it to be shared, something she would always defend as the right thing to do (in life, at least).
her interactions with kalec indicate she'd be a great teacher, as well (and i feel it's the sort of thing she would have loved and would have acted on as frequently as she could). she'd love to share her knowledge, but more than that, she's patient and caring and ready to encourage curiosity, to offer guidance and support for students to be able to take matters in their own hands, helping them grow and improve.
the way her simulacrum acts towards him, i also think it's obvious she was very motherly towards the young ones in her own flight, but honestly i think she'd be that gentle and caring and supportive, that she'd easily assume that sort of mentor role, towards anyone who loved to learn or wished to dedicate themselves to research. so i think she'd enjoy being in a teacher sort of position, and i think she'd do really well in it also.

frost mentioned zoen being referred to as prince by the scourge and how he is and isn't a prince and arthas as king but also not and I was just thinking my muses have? very clear stances on it. sindragosa doesn't really hold him in high regard. she resents everything, including arthas and his cruelty. she serves, as she was made to serve, because he is her master. he is not her king, though. and she would not acknowledge zoen as a prince, specially because any respect she shows arthas is because he earned it through force, because he was powerful enough to subjugate her will, and zoen did no such thing. she doesn't care for the royalty act.
lana'thel, on the other hand, very much does. she is all about the court life, and that would be reflected in how she interacts with her king, and in turn, in his child being acknowledge as a prince. it doesn't matter if in this immutable kingdom no prince is made to inherit.

❝ Do you suffer? ❞
always accepting stuff !!
— @xaaxas
Tumblr media
"Don't we all, at times?" It is not a dismissive answer; rather, a sympathetic one. Sindragosa knows, perhaps better than many, that the life of an Aspect was not without great burden. To the extent she was able, ever had she shared in Malygos', tried to make it less heavy — but in smaller ways, the blue dragon offered the aid she could to all the others. Sometimes, that may come in the form of seeking information or helping with some task; in times like this one, however, it was the offer of friendship and willingness to hear that felt like the most significant offerings. "Despite all we have achieved, life is never free of pain."
The Isles present no great challenge to be traversed, for they who rule the skies. Yet the Obsidian Citadel is closer to many others he could have sought, in place of flying to the snowy scenery of the Azure Span. Their perch allows for a nice view of the world below, forests and land and sea. The weather may not be the most agreeable to him, icy instead of scorching; yet she finds opposites such as those can make for fine and needed balance. Sindragosa wonders what brings him here; why not seek council with his own, or with the other Aspects. Ultimately, she thinks, it matters little. He is here, and anguished for some reason. As a friend, how can she not desire to help?
"Something is troubling you," It is not a question. Her head turns towards the larger dragon, sympathy shining in her blue eyes. "But you need not tell me what it is unless you want to. I would be glad to help if I can, Neltharion. Suffering can come for any of us, it's true — but none of us needs to face it alone." A pause. "And you have my word no one will know anything unless you wish for them to know. I will not tell."

the fact she didn't die immediately and was left agonizing in northrend and unable to reach dragonblight and amidst her pain hatred just overcame anything else and the fact she hated even malygos for not being there and abandoning her in the bitter end, unaware of the blow he took (the psychological, specially, not knowing he didn't know some of their flight didn't die right away) just. hurts.
the fact she was never, in life or undeath, aware of what befell him, of the fact he went mad with grief, and that she resents him so deeply for that abandonment (and, after being brought back, also the fact no one truly bothered to get her and the others to what should be their resting place). all she knows is she loved him with everything she had and in the end the one person she trusted and loved most wasn't there.

In the midst of her delirium, Sindragosa’s final thoughts turned to bitterness and hatred - hatred against the Legion, hatred against Neltharion, hatred even against Malygos. But most of all, hatred against the world of mortals. And in her dying moments… Sindragosa vowed revenge.

‘  do  you  think  i  am  so  foolish  or  so  cruel  ?  ’
I don't remember if this is a prompt but
— @acherys
Tumblr media
"I think you are foolish if you yet have qualms about your cruelty," Eyes, blazing with lichfire meet the Death Knight with sharpness befitting the cold the wyrm shrouds herself in. Sindragosa has no warmth left to give, and what semblance of kindness she may possess is to be found solely in the protectiveness with which the Frost Queen protects her brood. Zoen is not one of them, one of her children. Yet she belongs, in the way all of the Lich King's empire somehow belongs together, and perhaps that is what lessens her animosity.
Her damaged wings stretch, tail swishing before the skeletal dragon settles (habit, perhaps, more than need; a being such as she needed not to squirm for comfort as her living self may have). "If it is my advice you seek, the advice I have for you is that you shouldn't. None else will measure their cruelty towards you. Not those who show their teeth, much less those who conceal the knife behind their backs. Don't take pity on anyone for no one will ever take pity on you. Learn the lesson now, and be spared the disappointment in your hour of need."
"And if that was not what you sought," A turn of the head, gaze no longer upon him. She will not feign interest where there is none. "Then leave. Your presence annoys me."

"There is naught to forgive," Comes her reply, simple and serene; no offense is taken by the Lifebinder's test. The heavier burden is with Alexstrasza, she knows; while she can recognize a friend, Sindragosa's image will be no less a ghost to her than it seemed to be for Kalecgos. Yet he had not known her in life - the queen of dragons did.
The odd fixture in which she exists allows her sorrow for what was (knowing she met her own end, knowing her most beloved is similarly gone, despite specifics not revealed), even being a construct. Testament to her maker's skill, to imbue so much of herself in the simulacrum, as much as a testament to how little grief Sindragosa may have expected ere they left home.
The silence stretches, but only because her friend seems to need it. Was it recent, she wonders, or is it simply the reminder of the departed that causes her heart to ache, as it undoubtedly would in one ever so caring? Sindragosa does not ask; there is little point in causing the other more pain if it can be avoided. Instead, she waits and replies when the question is posed.
"He was… distraught, in our first meeting. It is a heavy burden to carry, that of an Aspect, and Kalecgos, though he did not tell me details, clearly also struggles with the circumstances he came to inherit it." If there is a hint of concern, it is not empty mimicry; he was a child of her flight, taken under her wing with the ease she would have done it in life. In this form, her role is limited. All the more reason to confide in Alexstrasza, who was yet a part of the young one's life. "I was surprised not to find more of my kin here, upon his arrival. He suffers for it, as well. For us being dispersed."
"Kalecgos is young but eager to learn, and it is obvious he cares for our flight greatly. His heart seems to be in the right place," A fitting leader for their flight, albeit not fully confident in his own ability to unite them as family. "He would benefit from having the guidance of someone like you, Alexstrasza."
alexstrasza feels a smile pulling at her lips at the familiarity, relief washing over her like waves on the sand. though sindragosa's loss was something the life-binder had poured over not once, but twice, she still feels some semblance of peace at even the memory of her friend. alexstrasza hums something pleased, as a sad expression takes over her facade for only the briefest of moments before it is replaced by a forlorn smile.
her head shakes. "no, no. i've no need of him; i was merely curious. forgive me" the dragonqueen inhales, and exhales slowly, mulling on her next words, "i was merely curious if you had sentience. again, i apologise, i fear if i may have caused any offense. i did not wholly expect to see the image of my departed friend, you see."
that she has encountered kalecgos already causes a unique ache in alexstrasza's chest that she feels has become all too familiar upon returning home so she knows of malygos and her own fates, it would seem. the dragonqueens eyes shut for a moment of silence, but then she opens them and attempts her best to carry forth.
"how is he? i fear he does not speak to me as easily as he might to you."
