It’s hard to work towards deadlines but you’ll get it through, you always do. What are some ideas you had?

I’m good, you know I’ve never really enoyed having too much down time but your father has done a good job at keeping me busy. We’re going to New Zealand next month just cause. I think Clark and him are out right now.

You know my current project is the typical superhero comic that I definitely enjoy. But with the next few projects I want to take a more historical, realistic direction and maybe chronicle the 1992 riots. I read a book detailing all of these vastly different accounts and perspectives of the riot that would translate well in the right comic style and spread knowledge.

If I had worked as hard as you for how long you did I’d be living it up in my down time. I’m glad dad is there to help you have more fun. How long are you going to New Zealand?

Hi! I’m amazing, a bit overwhelmed but it isn’t a bad thing. Trying to finish the next issue of my comic by the deadline while working on new ideas I want to pitch.

That’s awesome! So you’re mom and dad done threatening to throw you back into school then? Yeah, so it better be the best month ever Barclay. 6 months, most of it is like local at least though. Nothing overseas.

They are done for now. Mom hasn’t been on my back in awhile. I think she realized how much I love it. I don’t even want to consider doing anything else. It will be, I hope this one doesn’t go by as fast as the last time. Good. I worry when you’re that far.

I have to make sure that I don’t silence myself about the things that I believe in, because sometimes the fear creeps in of ‘what if fewer people watch the show, or fewer people hire me because I express my politics?’ For me, the commitment is to never be quiet just because I’m in the public eye.

Aw, shucks. I’m flattered. Things are looking up. I managed to finish a series and now I’m trying to find a buyer to help with distribution and production. I am also working on a couple of stand alone pieces to make a quick buck. So I only have a month with you until you hit the road, how long will you be on tour this time?

Everyone thinks I’m nice but I have inherited some of my parents viciousness and general badass attitude. Hopefully.

Well not my only weakness. Tell that to your aunt, I’m going on tour in a month and she wants to make sure I’m fit.

Is there any chance of finding out the other weaknesses? No can do. My aunt scares me.

I swear everyone in your family is a perfectionist. Bri- take a deep breath, I’m sure it’s perfect.

Those sort of traits run deep in our family tree on mom’s side so you are probably right. I can’t trust a friend’s opinion. I need a critic, a worst enemy.

Okay- so I’m a little off the diet, but in my defense the pizza was literally calling my name. Begging me to eat it.

Pizza is like your only weakness. You don’t need a diet anyways, the most important thing is being active. Then it hardly matters what you eat.
