A New Beginning

Hello mon amie! It is moi! You thought you've seen the last of moi. But you are wrong and moi am right!  

Just wanted to drop by to give you a little update, more than a year after this blog's 200th post.

Moi thought that this day is of significance, for it is exaclty two years ago (6.29.12) that moi became part of TEAM BABYCAKES. It was all sweetness and candies and light and rainbows and puppy dog eyes. 

But alas!

A lot of you might be surprised to find out that team babycakes is no more. Nada. Kapot. 

In fact, it's been more than a year now since the babycakes' bond was severed, and these days, moi's living the life of a young, carefree, single person ready to fly and conquer the world!!

So what happened? 

Tonta me. Tonta moi. Tonta tonta moi. 

Moi loved ex-babycakes. Passionately and generously (very, very generously). And perhaps, as Marty would say, too, too much. Moi gave it moi all. But like most first relationships, there was more passion than love. What moi had was a case of crazy stupid love.

Love that was not true, real love after all. 

So amidst these lovely, inspring words of love written by moi in this very awesome blog, team babycakes has somehow fallen into the pit of LDR despair! The pit was so deep and dangerous and dark, it was so hard to get ourselves out, especially since only one (moi!) was truly making an effort to claw our way back up. Moi gorgeous body was bruised and battered all over. Huhu! 

Moi wanted to make it work, but moi couldn't carry ex-babycakes out from the pit anymore. Moi had to let ex-babycakes go. (Moi guesses ex-babycakes would tell you moi pushed him so he would die a sad, horrible death in the pit. But this is moi blog, so this is moi version of the story, ok?)

So now, ex-babycakes stays in the pit (a.k.a. life in Jordan).

While moi has just recently traveled to moi home continent of Europe! Free from the stifling, asphyxiating ties of the babycakes. It turned out so very well for moi, and with all the blessings moi received these past two years, moi can only wish ex-babycakes all the best. 

So that's moi story.

Moi doesn't think moi will post anything again anytime soon. But moi hopes that this blog will continue to inspire those in loving LD relationships to continue to work hand-in-hand to make their love even stronger and secure-r .

While those who are so unfortunate to have fallen into the same LDR pit, please know that there is a new, better life that awaits.

A life like moi's.

Moi's a bit surprised.

Moi made an unlikely unpopular choice which is a vote of my heart and not my conscience.

But surprisingly that choice made me realize the power of love and how it moves in mysterious ways.

After all, it's true that when you love someone, you let imperfections and all the shortcomings as small hurdles.

Moi is thinking... seriously thinking about finally shutting down this blog.

Mind you, moi loves this blog.Very much.

But it's getting quite harder and harder to think of stuff to write here anymore. Moi thinks that moi has given all that moi can to write about LDR-- its joys and many, many struggles. Hmmm. 

Or moi might keep it?

But probably just to write about moi-self.. moi day, moi thoughts, moi feelings, whenever moi feels like it.

Hmmmmmm.

What moi has learned about LDR:

Communication is key!

Moi supporting statements:

1. Facetime is effective... only when one has a stable internet connection.

2. Whatsapp and viber are good replacements for FT... but this also requires a stable internet connection.

3. On birthdays and other special occasions, you will miss your other half even more than most days. You want to talk to him/her desperately... but this also generally requires a working gadget and of course, a stable internet connection.

4. If 1,2,and 3, don't work (or are too far between), e-mail exchanges should be an option, too. That is, if you and your partner have the inclination/energy/time for writing/reading long e-mails. This also requires at least, a dial-up internet connection, if these things still exist in this modern world. (P.S. the Shmakes are not much fans of this method. Moi e-mailed Shmakes before, but moi's not sure if it was an effective form of communication.)

5. If all else fails, a phone call, though primitive, is your last resort. One must not underestimate the power of a true phone call! It is perhaps, the most romantic gesture your partner could do for you, mostly because it is very very very expensive. Requirements: a land line or a working cellphone, a sim card with lots of credits, which one can obtain by having the right amount of moolah.

Moi truly values this freedom for moi is able to go out of my way to share so much of moi-self to the world and to the people moi loves and cares for. 

So so so much sometimes, moi feels moi doesn't have any more to give.

To Moi Readers,

You may have noticed that moi posts are becoming less frequent. That is so very very very true.

It's just lately, moi's been thinking about a lot of things.. life, family, love, love life, career, fortunes, misfortunes, the past, the present, the future, what the future holds.

They're all mixin' up in moi brain, conjuring lots of feelings, good, bad, ugly, happy, sad, naughty, nice and everything in between. Moi is really finding it hard to be inspired to write about moi life.

Not that moi is going crazy!

It's just.. not everything is so steady right now, ok?

Moi has lots of friends who support and love moi (for moi is such a lovable person!)...

But, really really, moi knows everything will just be a little bit better if moi Shmakes was here to support moi and hold moi and reassure moi that everything will be alright, that moi will be alright, that we will be alright.

Isn't it a wonder how some things could make you so very very very happy and so very very very sad at the same time?

Belated happy effin birthday to moi!

So two nights ago, moi celebrated moi birthday party with moi closest, bestest friends at Milky and Sunny, the sunniest place in the metro!

It was effin great! Great guests! Great conversations! Great food! Great everything!

The only sad part of that day was that Shmakes wasn't there to celebrate moi birthday with moi. We couldn't even be virtually together because somehow, his phone broke down. This shattered moi!

Moi is really beginning to think that there's bad-technology-juju in Amman. HMPF! (Though of course, moi has nothing against Amman. In fact, it's one of moi dream places to visit.)

But moi survived the loneliness!

Overall, it was an effin great day, full of love, laughter and cheers! An extraordinarily special day for MOI! :)

OMEFFINGEE!! It's moi effin birthday!!! Moi feels so lucky to be here...sharing moi gorgeous self to the world! Today will be a great day! In fact, it is already great because it started with moi Shmakes professing his undying love and devotion to moi! Oh how I wish that moi Shmakes is here with moi. But not to get sad! What an awesome trip to the City of Pines!!! Highlights: -The weather was cold but not soooo cold, just effin right. 
-Our hotel was so effin near everywhere, so moi got to do moi nightly walkabout. 
-The food the food the food. 
-Horseback riding. What an effin good way to exercise. Thanks Liberty (moi horse) for being such a nice horsey! -Spending time with M&P!! Moi shall return!!

1. Moi Shmakes is house hunting! So Shmakes and Mom can be nearer to the Embassy.

2. Jordan is such an abyss of non-internetness. Ohh wi-fi/internet/technology gods and goddesses, would you be so kind to let moi Shmakes use his gadgets to both FT with me and watch his movies, etc etc?!

Beautiful highlands of Cordillera.

Moi will once again ascend!!

This weekend moi gorgeous body shall travel to the city of Baguio for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Moi sure hopes it's going to be relaxing, because Moi will be with Marty and Pesky. Those two combined are both a blessing and a curse.

But moi will be ready. For cold weather. And for the bombardment of peskiness and martiness.

Ola ola mon amie!!! How are you all?

Moi has been so busy lately, moi barely has time to update this blog.

But as always, the BBK-Jordan-Manila love affair lives on and as strong as evaaaaaaaa. No fear, my dear!

Exciting news!!

Moi little Shmakeroo-baby-puppy is now a mommy! That's right! Khloe is now expecting her own litter of puppies! How great! Moi is officially a grandparent! It seems like it was only yesterday when I first held you in moi arms, so tiny and precious, Khloe!

O-EM-EFFIN-GEE!!!

Moi thought moi lost moi wallet today.

Moi was soooooo very very very close to effin panicking.

But then again, moi remembered moi lesson on composure. So what moi did was to calmly inspect all moi belongings, and voila….

There it was in moi shoe bag!

Lesson learned: Composure is next to godliness.

Also… just finished moi gym session. Moi feels shmeksy again! Like you’ve never seen before!

Moi hasn't forgotten you, mon amie! It's just that moi life has been very very very uneventful these days. But rest assured that everything's well in the Babycakes front!! To get you up to speed with moi life, here are a few highlights lately: -moi sister met with Shmakes in Jordan and spent some good ol' bonding time. -met with moi college friends. How fun! -met with M&P and one of the C2. Ate at Cyma and Swensen's. It's the effin best ice cream!! -met with moi sister (the same one Shmakes met). -did not vote! Oh if you are curious, moi dear Sister is a jetsetting flight attendant, that's why she's able to hop around countries like voilaa! New work week! Gotta bring my best beacon A-game!
