I can't sleep.

Did knives ever try to communicate with his plant sisters on what they wanted? Did he ever ask them what made them happy?? What was his plan past freeing plants from humans because it doesn't look like he was improving the quality of their lives past not sending into a Last Run but what would an improvement on their lives look like??

Do the Plants even know what they want? They must, from the sparse glimpses we get from their perspectives.

i love when random tumblr users find my blog and go through it liking and reblogging everything in a frenzy, it feels like i’ve been cultivating a nice backyard with a lovely birdbath and feeder and i’ve glanced out the window to see a bird going absolutely wild with it

thinking about how knives’ last interaction (not only with a human but literally ANYONE) is with this cute little kid in awe of his apple tree who just treats knives like a totally normal guy, not like a freak or a god to worship

you’d assume for someone who hates humans so much that knives would eventually die in a blaze of glory like shot down by the military or something. but the real beauty of his death is how in willingly creating the tree with the last of his powers, he ensures not only the survival of vash, not only the survival of these two humans, but the survival of ALL humans. and at this point, knives has finally accepted the fact that humans are inherently good and he’s confident in leaving vash with them. he TRUSTS them to save him.

i especially love that the kid asks if knives told vash he was leaving. just like a very basic indication that you care about someone. and knives kinda takes that as his cue to finally let go and leave vash on his own

And so, this event comes to a close (kinda!). THANK YOU EVERYONE who participated and everyone who was lurking and (hopefully) enjoying the activity and everyone's thoughts and art. This event wouldn't have happened without all of you, and I wouldn't have had the joy of the experience without you.

Critically important WW discussion

You know what i love about the trigon fandom? Like, I wasn’t into it when it was first a thing but from what I have seen it wasn’t that different.

Like no matter if you ship vashmeryl or vashwood (and honestly many people seem to like both) there is no bashing of the other in fanfic or fanart.

I mean, in all the vashwood stuff I have seen, meryl is never portrayed as mean, as jealous, as a bitch or anything, as it happens so much to female characters in that situation. Sometimes she just isn’t around which in context of trigon makes perfect sense and needs no explaining. If she is around?

She is really either supportive and helpful or supportive and exasperated. Always happy for them (and maybe annoyed with their nonsense).

I mean, Wolfwood never takes a (honestly) mean role if he is part of a vashmeryl story. You know, just his regular teasing… it just sticks out with meryl more because so many female characters get shafted for a mlm ship when there is really no deed and also they aren’t like that at all!
