I wasn't, and I'm still not, angry.
I'm just curious.
I wasn't planning on doing anything, I'm just trying to figure out what the universe thinks is right and wrong, and at the moment it seems like everyone is wrong. At least you're honest about that now.
So I talked to Adaine. I'm more confused than ever. I don't think I was being radicalised, but she is more intelligent than me so I don't know? She still scares me.
But you can still bring the car to the garage if it ever gets beyond glitter again if you need to.
@backgroundwizard
Adaine is a smart kid, we all know it. One of the best. Her hubris will be her downfall, if it ever comes—though I doubt we’ll be losing her any time soon. I think perhaps that coming to the (ex) teacher for rage when you were already angry was confirmation bias. (Though I don’t disagree on some of those points you made.)
Here’s my advice: don’t use me as a blueprint, unless it’s “what not to do”. Does that help?

You know, Professor Runestaff may have meant it as an insult, but I genuinely think working in the garage might be my best option. I bet Mumple kids don't have to question whether the universe is fair or not just because they took sympathy on the janitor one time.
This is where I'd post some angsty poetry if Aguefort had decent Common classes.

Thank you. You've left me with a lot to think about.
Am I being radicalized?
-@backgroundwizard
Yes. Unfortunately in my experience, there is only a couple teachers at Aguefort that can actually be trusted to have your best interest in mind, and even fewer that will actually be able to help you.
I’ve been here for three years and been involved with preventing every evil plot a teacher has tried to execute since. I’m telling you now that Porter is definitely not your friend, even if it seems like he agrees with you and listens to you.
That is how Porter manipulates students. He tells you he understand you, that you are right, he validates you so you feel a sense of loyalty to him. Then he uses you, throws away your life for his cause, and let’s you take the fall for the things he forces you to do. He’s done it to many student before, to multiple people I am close to. If you need to hear it from someone who experienced it first hand, I can easily arrange that.
Adventuring Academy is not easy and you need to stay sharp, think critically, and have confidence in yourself as a wizard (or whatever you may pursue).
Tiberia Runestaff is outdated and traditionalist, but there is no right or wrong way to be a wizard and to study magic. There are very few resources for progressive and unconventional wizardry in Elmville, so you’re going to have to make your own path. It won’t be easy, but I promise it’s rewarding. Let me know if you want to talk to some less stuck up wizards may who understand your situation. Both myself and my boyfriend Oisin have experience with what you’re going through.
Best of luck, I hope you are able to find a way to connect with your magic in the way you are seeking.

New fear unlocked: auditing a class you're not in, only for nobody who is actually in that class to show up so you're stuck there with a really enthusiastic teacher who starts asking you weird questions about your magic.
Someone come to sorcery class with me, please?

I think my adventuring party went on a quest without me? Or we went on a quest and I completely forgot about it?

I think my problem is that my morals say Professor Aguefort does stuff just as bad as Mr Cliffbreaker did but my brain says that's not true?
But a wizardry club sounds, um, interesting?

How do you know who's a good teacher and who's not when the good teachers also get kids to do messed up stuff?
But uh yeah, if it would be ok, it would be cool to talk about paths sometime? I'm planning on auditing sorcery classes too if I can do it without my dad finding out. I'm kind of scrambling.

I've gotten so far into my head that I'm beginning to wonder if the principal is evil.
Am I being paranoid or is this something?

What you should do is create a school and then just trick children into doing your dirty work instead
Don’t act like a martyr, you tried to conquer the entire town.
Neither are right, but there’s still a difference between negligent destructive chaos and malicious plots to possess and use children to take over a realm.
Alright, the possession was a mistake. I’ll keep it in mind for next time.

Thank you Mr Cliffbreaker!
Professor, I think you're not, um, beating the allegation because you kept saying that you just talked about innate magic and people believed it?
I never got what you meant by that though. Isn't all magic innate? You can either do it or you can't? Maybe I'm being stupid and this is the principles thing Professor Runestaff talks about?
But, um, yeah, I'll sit in on a class if that's ok? And we can make sure Professor Runestaff and my dad don't find out?
@backgroundwizard If Professor Runestaff is being too hard on you, I have a ton of open spots left if you’d like to try your hand at sorcery!
But my door is always open if you’d like to discuss magic. I’ll try my best to make the connection to wizardry!
- Professor Stardiamond 💫💎
Hey, what did I say? Knew Jace Professor Stardiamond would come through. Never know unless you try, right?

Have you guys gone on an adventure yet then?
Um, hi, Olive
My name's Daniel. I think you're in my year at school but I kind of missed out on the part where everyone made friends last year. Would it be weird to talk to you here?
@backgroundwizard
Oh! Hello!!
Of course not! We can talk here. It's nice to meet you!

Some people have all the luck.
But I guess as long as you're like still learning stuff then it doesn't really matter? I guess you can learn just as much by doing adventure stuff than you can from sitting in class?

How do you manage to get away with that? I think my dad would kill me if I never went to lessons.
