you and rue were in her room taking drugs like you often did, when you started feeling bad and not good like you usually felt.

your breathing started to fasten and rue noticed that something was wrong.

"y/n are you okay?"

before you could answer your eyes rolled into the back of your head and you fainted.

rue tried shaking you awaking and calling your name but you wouldn't wake up. 

rue knew you’d get in trouble if she called an ambulance, but she didn’t want you to die.

after calling the ambulance, rue called your girlfriend, maddy.

the following day you awoke with a groan and noticed you were in a hospital bed. you felt confused, disoriented and extremly uncomfortable.

as your eyes got used to the bright lights you looked to the left and saw your girlfriend sleeping in one of those uncomfortable plastic chairs with tear streaks down her beautiful face and your hand in hers.

you immediately felt bad for making her upset.

you didn't know if you should wake her or not but thought after you talked a bit she could sleep in your hospital bed which was a probably a lot more comfortable than the plastic chair.

you took your hand out of hers and stretched to gently shake her awake.

the girl groggily opened her eyes but immediately sprung up to hug you once she realized you were awake.

after her hugging you for a while she pulled away and punched you in the shoulder, hard.

"you dick! i thought you died"

you pouted, rubbing your shoulder.

maddys eyes softened, she could never stay mad at you for too long, she loved you too much for that.

you didn't want to admit if but you knew she was right so youlooked at her with a saddened expression and gave her a small nod.

you knew this meant going to rehab and you knew that meant not seeing maddy for a bit, which made you really upset but you knew you had to get help., you couldn’t keep living like this.

if not for yourself, then for the girl you loved more than anything else in the world.

the short girl gave you a small smile, happy that you finally agreed to get help.

she crawled into the small hospital bed and cuddled into you.

it didn't take long for the both of you to fall asleep again.

the next day quickly came around and you knew it was time to go. you didn’t want to but it was something that was long overdue.

you laid in the bed for awhile just soaking in the last few calm moments with maddy, when you decided to wake the dark haired girl up.

when you looked back at the small girl you saw her already finished, wearing one of your big jackets, a cute hoodie and a pair of sweatpants.

your mom was waiting for you outside of the door, giving you and maddy privacy for one of your last few moments alone.

you and maddy walked out of the room and then checked out of the hospital.

you got into your moms car with maddy and you being in backseat, her hand in yours, tracing soft mindless patterns over the back of it and your head on her shoulder.

your mum saw you both through the mirror and smiled.

she has always loved maddy and knows how happy she makes you.

that's all she ever wanted for you, to be happy.

the ride was mostly quiet with a few words here and there but nothing worth mentioning.

when you arrived you all sat in the car, knowing it'll a while before you see each other again.

maddy got out of the car and went over to your door, taking your hand and gently pulling you out.

the whole way she held you hand, wanting for you to know that she was here for you no matter what.

it all went by so quickly. one minute you were walking into the rehab center and the next maddy and your mom got ready to leave.

your mom gave you a huge hug and a kiss and went out, wanting to give you and your girlfriend some privacy.

maddy took you into her arms and held you tight for a little bit, cherishing the feeling of warmth that you give her every time you're around.

you guys pulled away from each other when you heard the voice of the doctor telling maddy it was time to leave.

you gave the smaller girl one last hug and a small smile and followed the doctor to your room.

you didnt even really want to come but your two best friends forced you. they told you it would be fun. yeah, you definitely had a lot of fun.

it all started when you saw them, maddy perez and nate jacobs in the middle of the dance floor, kissing. everyone knew nate and maddy and knew that maddy would go back to him no matter how bad he treated her. you felt bad for the girl and you thought she deserved a lot better.

anyone (you) would be better than nate, that was for sure.

but something about them was different, maddy looked uncomfortable. she is always tense around him but not like this. something was wrong.

after a few minutes, nate started pulling maddy closer to him and she started looking increasingly more uncomfortable. how was no one but you seeing this?

you decided that this was enough and went over to them, you didn't even know what you were going to say but your feet just took you over there.

when you arrived in the middle of the dance floor you tapped maddy on the shoulder.

she looked relieved to see you while nate just had his usual scowl on his face.

''hi maddy! im going to go home now so if you want to have another sleepover can come with me!'' this was probably the dumbest and least believable thing to say but you didn't really care about that.

maddy smiled at you and went to answer before nate did it for her. ''no she's coming home with me tonight.''

you just faked a smile at him, unimpressed. ''i was talking to maddy, not you. she can decide what she wants to do''

nate laughed in your faced and went to pull maddy away.

maddy was panicking, you could clearly see that in her face and the way she held her body.

maddy smiles at her, happy that her friend is so excited. ''because i saw her drawing a flower on her left wrist and now there's one on your left wrist that looks identical to the one she drew.''

the blonde is jumping around feeling giddy. ''who is she? where is she? can you introduce me?''

the latina laughs ''her name is y/n. she's right over there with rue and jules and yes i can introduce you. lets go''

cassie can't stop smiling she finally found her soulmate after so long. shes been waiting for this moment her whole life and it feels surreal that the moment has finally come.

she walks up to you at a fast pace making it hard for maddy to catch up.

you, jules and rue are laughing and talking about a boy jules is starting to like, tyler. you all immediately stop laughing once you notice two of the most popular girls practically run up to your table. when the brunette and blonde duo arrive at your table they both try to catch their breath.

jules looks at them in confusion and says ''hi?''

maddy smiles at the blonde with pink streaks ''we need to borrow your friend for a second.''

which confuses jules even more. ''why would you need to borrow her? you're not even friends?''

maddy rolls her eyes and subtly points towards your wrist where the flower was. jules understands whats going on and smiles, happy that her friend has finally found her soulmate while you're just sitting there confusion evident on your face.

''uh, do i get a say in this?''

jules looks at you ''no, go with them.''

you stand up and maddy grabs your wrist pulling you to the nearest empty classroom, cassie not far behind. she pushes you in and then cassie. ''talk. cass tell me how it went later''

you were standing awkwardly in a corner not sure what to say.

cassie turns to you with a slight smile. ''hi, I'm cassie.''

you chuckle ''i know who you are we had English together last year''

cassie pulls up her sleeve nervously. this was it she was going to tell you that you are her soulmate. she was excited but really nervous. she didn't know how you were going to react. she wanted everything to go right.

once her sleeve was up and the flower that you drew this moring in your math class you let out a small gasp. cassie grew increasingly more nervous, thinking that the gasp meant you didn't like her and wanted nothing to do with her.

but then you looked up with a smile that could cure cancer and cassie swore she fell in love with you right there. the sight was breathtakingly beautiful to her. she thought your smile could light up a whole room.

with one little pout she got you wrapped around her little finger and you went to the dance floor with her.

as the song progressed you got more into it and actually danced with her. you both were the center of attention which maddy noticed but you didn't because all of your attention was on her.

you tucked maddy into bed and went to leave but before you could she pulled you into her bed and pulled you close, you knew you wouldn't get out there because she had a real tight grip on you so you just kicked your shoes off and cuddled into her.

you figured she fell back asleep but then you heard her talk
