The way Asha assumes there is no Stark to unite the Mountain clans to fight - but there is! Her being taken by surprise when attacked by the Mountain clans because there is a Stark pushing these different groups to take on the Ironborn and the Boltons - Arya Stark!

The power of Arya Stark, still thousands of miles away in a different continent and yet uniting different, warring mountain clans to band together and fight for her!!

Similar to Jon Snow, uniting together the different, warring Freefolk and convincing them to fight for him against the Boltons. And let's not forget that it's Jon Snow who send Stannis to the Mountain clans in the first place.

Arya Stark and Jon Snow uniting disparate groups under them, to fight for them. Both characters are not actively involved in Northern politics (Arya more so than Jon given Jon's tacit support for Stannis' campaign) and yet continue to influence it to a great degree, changing the political landscape of the North and will be the reason that the North will get rid of the Boltons in the next book.

They take their oaths in the freezing air of a misty morning, under a big oak. The trees around them and the embers of the fire are their witnesses

They are not dressed in embroidered cloaks, but in tattered war banners and golden leaves. There are no wreaths of winter roses, wildflowers will do.

There is no silk gown to slip off, just old boots, rusty chain mail stolen from a corpse. There is no featherbed, deep and soft, just the grass crisp with frost.

No words can describe how it felt to read the JaimeCersei chapters in AFFC and realize that They Do Not Like Each Other. Both of them, going on and on about how they're each other's half and two bodies one and soul and they have their first conversation, and it's so obvious they don't like each other. They never have any idea what the other is talking about, don't trust the other, they don't even laugh at the same things.

It's like they're both teenagers in their first ever relationship, it's not really built on familiarity, mutual respect, and love, but proximity, attraction, and romantic ideals. And you go out with your highschool boyfriend and you have fun because it's fun to have a boyfriend and you cry when he breaks up with you but by the time you're in college you forget what his last name was, the classes you shared with him and that's fine.

But Jaime and Cersei don't do that. Their bodies grow up, but they don't. And they stay in a juvenile relationship that was never meant to exist, and wonder why they're so unhappy all the time.

I'm not like a Little Monster or anything but I will always have some fondness for Lady Gaga for giving the single greatest response to someone asking her to enforce transmisogyny by holding her cisness hostage (by asking if she has a penis a.k.a if she's a tranny) : "Would it be so terrible?" A bisexual woman earnestly putting a mirror up to the cis gay man who thrives in respectability politics interviewing her, showing him the simple kindness that he lacks towards trans women thanks to society's transmisogyny. Why should it be an insult? Why are we treating this question as a threat to a woman's value? Stephanie refused to engage, pure and simple, even if it shocked people that she didn't protect herself by upholding transmisogyny and I think that's one of the best things a cis woman can say to truly counter transmisogyny.

soo i decided to give a chance to a gendrya fic... that chance pretty much ended when i read gendry and sansa being friends (and how kind and friendly sansa is in comparison to the nightmare that arya is to deal with...) and that's why mostly i don't like modern aus or showverse stuff... that mischaracterization is a common phenomenon same as loner!arya... i'm tired.

i want to scream that arya is kind, friendly, empathetic and cares deeply for others even (especially!) in the face of adversity. and honestly gendry would hate sansa's guts at first sight no questions asked, he'd only put up with her presence near him due to the fact he loves arya no changing my mind about it!
