Wanted to make a platypus and ended up with a convergant psyduck. But I couldn't summon up the energy to draw so I made these as a sort of concept art.

Poiduck (Poison) It has venomous spurs on its hands and feet which often accidentally poke its pudgy body. It's venom causes headaches and severe nausea. It keeps its hands on its head to prevent unintentionally poisoning itself, this often leads to injecting its poison right into its head.

Cadduck (Poison) the venom in its blades is an incredibly fast acting paralytic. It leaps from rivers to incapacitate people and Pokémon seemingly at random.

I found a REALLY good sketching brush and the concept art phase of designing fake Pokémon is 1000x more fun. This is Meownticore, Pocore, and Disastcore, the Poison/Dragon pseudolegendary. I need to make it a little more dragony imo (perhaps the back legs have scales... idk)

Meet Sicklisweet! A #fakemon that's a Bacteriophage with a cupcake for a head.

Sicklisweet, Poison/Fairy

(Sickly-sweet or sick + sweet)

Cupcake Pokémon

Dex1. Consumption of Sicklisweet's icing is guaranteed to result in illness. Even still, many ignore this threat because of its deliciousness.

Dex2. This Pokémon is highly confrontational and aggressive. However, Sicklisweet is easy to placate with desserts. Just remember to bring at least two... one for each of its mouths.

Meet Fishtery, Beshadow, and Reeveel!

This is a water starter line of fakemon based on mysteries, shadows, and river eels

Fishtery, Water

(Fish + Mystery)

Curious Pokémon

Dex1. Half translucent, this Pokémon's body is covered in water. Its gills cycle this water into energy which it uses to make more water.

Dex2. Even when it is alone, Fishtery never feels lonely. It has yet to notice its shadow.

Beshadow, Water

(Bed plural of eels + shadow)

Eel Pokémon

Dex1. There's nothing Beshadow loves more that surprises, both giving and receiving them. This Pokémon's startled cries seem to echo from nowhere.

Dex2. This Pokémon is covered in false eye spots that some contest as real. This furthers the idea that it is actually several eels Pokémon working together.

Reeveel, Water/Ghost

(Reveal + Eel)

Suspense Pokémon

Dex1. The sound of Reeveel tearing off its shadow haunts the nightmares of fishermen. Rivers will be completely avoided if multiple of them are known to nest therein.

Dex2. This Pokémon's shadow is similar to a thick film that covers its scales. The shadow glows with a distracting light to keep prey from noticing its sharp teeth ... until it's too late.

Dex2. This Pokémon loves hugs! It's rind wings secret a delicious juice that often gets them stuck to the objects of their affection.

Dex1. This Pokémon oozes fruit juice from its mouth. While delicious, Froobat can use the juice to drain the life force of any Pokémon or person that touches it.

Dex2. Froobat uses its long legs to snatch up fruits and flowers as it glides through the air to eat them on the go. As such it is not a good pollinator.

Dex2. Despite its great size, it's hugs are gentle and heartwarming. It protects those it loves with juice that saps foes or heals allies at Vulpire's discretion.

Back in the drawing saddle

This is Romango, the Affection Pokémon, Grass type Starter. I've got his evos sketched out but this is the first fakemon I've been able to finish drawing in ages.

The the starters are based on genres: romance for Grass, comedy for Fire, and mystery for Water.

The inspiration for this Koumei fashionframe was a haunted doll abandoned in the sea. One whose body has been long eroded by the water and has had to replace her dress and hair with seaweed and fishing line.

The ghastly puppet Koumei emerges from the ocean every night to entangle fishermen and drag them beneath the waves. To ward off Koumei make sure you're lines and nets aren't tangled before they go on the water. Dice games also distract Koumei as the sound is similar to the clattering of her metal bones.

Meet Chickabreeze, Foldsoar, and Origale! These paper thin bird fakemon ride the wind! Haven't decided how the final evo switches formes in battle 🤷‍♂️

Chickabreeze, Flying

(Chickadee + Breeze)

Folded Paper Pokémon

Dex1. Not technically made of paper, this Pokémon doesn't control where it flies. Loose in the breeze, the best they can do in battle is inflict accidental cuts.

Dex2. A Pokémon that folds is body into aerodynamic shapes. They chirp happily as the breeze flings them to their next destination.

Foldsoar, Flying

Paper Crane Pokémon

Dex1. Finally large enough to fold into a shape that can fly on of its own accord, this Pokémon's call can be heard far and wide.

Dex2. Flying intentionally isn't the only ability gained by this Pokémon's evolution. It can now hone its blade like corners on foes and prey alike. It craves fish Pokémon but doesn't like getting wet.

Origale, Flying

(Origami + Gale)

Origami Pokémon

Dex1. This Pokémon has mastered two methods of folding its paper-like body. Elegant forme boasts incredible battle prowess while raptor form is used for engaging and evasion.

Dex2. Capable of countless configurations, it's favorites are the birdlike elegant forme and the planelike raptor forme. Legend states that raising one thousand of these Pokémon grants the trainer a wish.

Meet Eleggtrocute and Eleggtrolier! This Convergant evolution fakemon of Exeggcute and Exeggutor. One is a pack of light bulbs and the other's a chandelier. Evolves via metal coat.

Eleggtrocute, Electric

(Electrocute + Egg)

Dex1. Not to be confused with exeggcute, Eleggtrocute is a completely different species. The brighter they shine the more electricity they produce. Heads that get too cracked can't shed light.

Dex2. Often mistaken for discarded light bulbs. When disturbed, they quickly gather and attack in swarms with their jagged edges and electricity.

Dex1. It's heads get along great with each other and most Pokémon. Eleggtrolier is wary of people since many have been poached for their shining crystals and copper wiring.

Dex2. Even attached to the same metal body each of its bulbs has an independent mind. It can unscrew one of them which becomes a new Eleggtrocute before it hits the ground.

Dex1. Always seeking its next laugh, Gufflame frequently takes its pranks too far. It's mocking laugh is said to ward off people and Pokémon with bad vibes.

Dex2. It rarely walks on all fours since it learned that some humans find waking in its hind legs hilarious. Other people find it annoying which is also funny to Gufflame.

Dex1. Ancient peoples would hold ceremonies by dancing around a laughing Hiflarious. It's magic flames ensured safety and prosperity for weeks to come.

Dex2. Apologetic for pushing its jokes too far in its youth, this Pokémon heals body and spirit with its glittering flames and its sense of humor.
