When I tell you it took me 3 days to figure out how to do this!! But here we are! Now you can have a real classroom experience!

I do recommend you get your sims into a room first then call them for the lecture or else they will take the first sit they find and listen from there.

eating at the table animation override

this mod overrides eating animations when sims sit at dining, picnic and desk tables.

there are two animation styles based on the sim's gender. you can switch between them using my other mod — more info here! you can also set the default ea animation style for individual sims if you prefer that. female pose preview:

the override applies only if:

the sim is teen to elder;

the sim is eating at a dining, picnic or desk table;

the food is not handheld like ice cream cones or lollipops.

this override is much simpler than the default eating animations, i've only included:

basic eating;

eating spoiled or poor food;

sad mood eating;

and several idle variations.

originally, i wanted to redo way more animations, but i was surprised by how many different eating behaviors exist in the game. i also wanted to keep the special glutton trait eating, but it turned out to be too complex for me to implement. upd. aug 7, 2025: i fixed the fork position in the hand 🍴

i tested this mod thoroughly, but there’s a huge variety of food in the sims, so issues may still appear. please be ready to re-download if updates are needed!

This is a continuation of my old 1890's radio mod, I really wanted to make an updated version and I'd always intended to do this for other decades too. I don't really have a good explanation for this taking so long, adhd kicked my ass

This version is modular! Only the base is required. If there are any stations you don't want, you can just remove them.

The like/dislike for antique music covers all four stations.

Never before have I been duped so thoroughly by a game changer episode. I didn't even question it. I was too focused on the cinema in front of me to notice sam reich sneaking up behind with the steel chair.

When I was four years old I was lucky enough to serve as the flower girl in the wedding party of my auntie's best friend. Years later I would occasionally snuggle away in the walk-in closet where we kept our family photos and swoon over the photos taken on that day. It was mid-winter and the ground was covered in snow, so in my young mind there was something so romantic and magical about a bride decked out in all white surrounded by an all white landscape. Those formative memories shaped my love for the pageantry and drama of wedding attire, which is where the idea for the Season of Brides series comes from. And since June is the official start of wedding season there seems no better time to dive right in. Over the next three months we'll be travelling through the timeline of 1890s to 2000s, with both bridal and bridesmaid outfits featured. With that spiel out of the way, let's head into the 1890s...

The late 19th century saw a dramatic change in what was deemed a "proper" wedding. While it used to be that a couple would marry in a small ceremony, typically at home surrounded by family, marriages among the wealthy elite began to grow into large scale affairs that were meant to be more of a public spectacle than an intimate affair centering around a union. This new trend, combined with the ever increasing mass market consumer culture, turned weddings into an industry and as a result dedicated wedding attire grew in popularity.

In previous decades the entire bridal party would be decked out in white or other similarly light colours, however come the 1890s there started to be a noticeable delineation between bridal and bridesmaid gowns. Green and rose were the most popular colours in America for bridesmaids, while English tastes favoured grey, lilac and violet. CC links under the cut.

I’ve updated the Culinary Caddy to support small appliances—yes, that includes the coffee maker, grinder, and other countertop gadgets! You can now place them directly on the caddy, and they’ll work as expected in-game.

About this item:

I’ve added appliance slots to the Culinary Caddy object. That means you can now place coffee makers, grinders, toasters, and more right on the caddy surface.

Use it in cozy kitchens, bistros, or anywhere space is tight but functionality matters.

The object remains unchanged visually — you keep the clean design of the original caddy, but it’s now way more versatile.

phone call animations override

this mod replaces the animations for phone calls, adding four new poses, with different ones for each gender.

age groups: teenagers to elders.

included poses:

sitting on dining or desk chairs

sitting on sofas or living chairs

animations on all other surfaces will remain as they are.

all transitions are smooth! you might notice slight clipping at the start or end of the animations, but it shouldn't affect gameplay.

also you should know:

if your sim is pregnant, the animation might not look good with the belly. unfortunately, i don’t know how to fix it in this mod, but i hope it won’t bother you too much.

i did not modify the animation for "video calls".

if you have the "cupid's heart" expansion pack, the "flirt" action on the phone will also use the new poses.

p.s. i made this override as an addition to my previous mod, "extended phone calls", after my sims started calling everyone 24/7, i thought they should do it in a cuter way! :)
