the fate of the reflection
this week I started to edit my film, I am not entirely happy with some of my sound files so I will try to edit them in Adobe Audition. I am feeling quite good about hand in next week, I have managed to color grade my film and do an ADR of one of the lines with my actor and I have tried out different effects on it to make it sound like it was recorded at the beach and not the room.

this week I shot my film (wooooo) the shoot went well and I think that there was a good energy on set and that I have a good amount of footage to use in my edit.
I now need to start editing my clips together and to take off the sound files from my kit.

I’m really quite stressed now, I think that I might have to restart my project, my actors weren’t able to come at the time and I don’t have enough people to be able to pull it off. I had a meeting with Mark about it but I’m still not entirely sure about what I am going to make my film about. Because of this I’ve now fallen behind my timeplan and that is not ideal. I’m going to try and think of some things that I can use in my film this weekend but I need to finish my script soon if I want to be able to shoot my film.

reflection five
This week I helped out on Sara’s set and also did some location scouting since my first location fell through. I think that this next location is a bit better than my first one since it’s less like a magazine-looking house and looks like an actual house. I’m still waiting on some actors and some have dropped out which is not ideal.
I’m going to think about coming up with a plan B because I’m not sure how this is going to work out. I’m due to film next week and I have managed to get some friends as a backup if my actors don’t reply so hopefully it should be fine.

I’ve managed to find some actors to be in my film but I have had to change my filming time because I wasn’t able to get the location during the week to rehearse. I messaged the actors to ask if they are able to come next week instead but not all of them have replied yet ://
I’m helping out on some other people’s shoots this coming week but it won’t interfere with my other work since I am still mostly on my timeplan

weekly reflection : tokyo drift
I finished the final draft of my script and gave my characters some names (yay!), I also realised that the characters are really based on my friends which is an accident but if I can’t find actors for my main roles I guess I could just get them to do it.
I didn’t do much other than some book research this week, I think that I could’ve used my time better this week but I don’t think I lost on that much time overall so it’s like, ok

the turbo charged reflection
This week I went out to the location that my friend is letting me use, I managed to do some test shoots with Sara helping me, I tried out the GoPro and a DSLR camera. I didn’t like the GoPro as much as the other camera because it made it weirdly round, I tried out the chest mount that you can use for it because it could be quite good to make it from the POV of the main character but it didn’t film at the height that I had wanted and I had to walk super awkwardly to make it work.
I’m trying to think of different ways in which I could record sound because I have quite a few speaking characters and I don’t think it would work with just using radio mics. I asked Lindsay what he suggested and he said that the shotgun mic might be good so I’m going to test it out later.

2 weekly 2 reflection
I started my first script draft this week but I’m struggling to come up with names for the characters, I also made my time plan which I’m already somehow behind on.... I’m going to start looking for actors but I have got a location from my friend which should be ok for me to use, the only issue with it is that it’s a bit far out and it might be difficult for other people to get to since I can’t drive. I’m going to have to be really efficient with my time if I am going to be able to pull off my idea, I haven’t yet made a plan B which I might have to think about if I have to change some things.

The weekly and the reflection
This week was the first week of FMP, I don’t think that my presentation made my idea very clear to the class but I also don’t think that I got a negative reaction. I’m going to start gathering resources and begin writing my script soon because I think that it will take me some time to be able to get all the actors & location together.
