I’d love to know if anyone else shares this opinion, but now knowing that Niklaus isn’t the final BBEG, I really hope he doesn’t end up being a full ally to the Riptide pirates; I hope he stays kind of a very powerful enigma that’s neither explicitly good nor bad to the crew in the end

STOP!!!! You know what you shouldn't do right now? You shouldn't think about Chip and how young he is. Please don't think about the faxt he was barely a tween when everything he loved sank beneath the sea in a horrible, incomprehensible way. Please don't think about the fact that he was forced to kill a man as nothing but a lost teenager. Please don't think about the fact that maybe his irresponsiblity, his recklessness, his desperate attempts to hold onto his past come from the fact that he's just a kid, in the end, he's just a kid that never got a chance to grow out of it. All the Riptide Pirates are, really, but Chip knew what it was to be nothing more than a child and it got ripped away from him.

If Jay and Gillion never got to be little, Chip never got to grow up.
