Everyone hates Sesshomaru for valid reasons but I wish people would be honest with themselves when they say ‘media affects real life positively’ but then turn around with their whole ass out saying it doesnt affect reality when it damages people (like me) make up yalls minds...I wish many had more empathy on why so many people would not want their trauma being turned into literal pornography. I hardly even posted about Inuyasha (or active on here)cause the sequel made me so depressed. As someone who is a child abuse survivor and still suffers so much into my adulthood..I couldn’t even make a comment without feeling deflated for hours,it’s thanks to so many that spoke about it and said what needed to be said cause many like me don’t even wanna bring up our trauma especially in media,it’s tiring..it really is.I am trying to focus on getting myself better while also enjoying what brings me comfort and sesshomaru was one of them. He still is and I feel guilty for IT..does that make sense for a victim?I can’t feel guilty over a series that came out and ended years ago. None of this would never be a thing if rumiko never greenlit and kept everything the same as she did so before so basically she’s a sell out.I would still be enjoying theart,my fave eps etc I wouldn’t have to feel unsafe watching some dumb anime now would i..it would be okay. I want to surround myself with good things and have fun not be reminded theres actual adults my age or older liking pedophile content or one themselves cause that’s how I see most sessrins as and from what I read about the ep. It’s just all fucked to those who deal with so much like I do and loved this series to bits-the writers are gross and reminded me that ppl can get away with so much while also never be held accountable all ignored. It’s all diluted and normalized,nothing from our traumas is taken serious or no one gives a fuck about us ever in any industry.

I feel like teenagers on here need to realize that being “pro-shipper” is in itself already grooming. Like Adults don’t need to use the actual content to groom you into being okay with pedophilia they’re doing it by using “anti” discourse.

You’re now associating people who are trying to speak out with “oh theyre just sensitive”, “stupid people don’t know the difference between fiction and reality” and when you come across an adult hitting on you and someone tries to step in, you’re going to be on the defensive now because internet discourse made you think this person is just being stupid.

This has happened in Japan with shoujo manga being the go to for grooming schoolgirls. Adult women who spoke out against content in manga were boo’d and harassed by manga creators and men and young girls saw that and went “oh she’s crazy there’s nothing wrong with an adult and child being together.” Then later on they’d realize that no these women were trying to help.

Even if you still think it’s okay atleast stay away from 18+ people trying to talk to you about ships and sexual stuff. They’re trying to do something to you and you’re going to get hurt.
